Losing on the road to Detroit and the Rams….and at home to the Chiefs and SF - depending on how it happened would be bad but not necessarily mean playoff doom. We’re going to win at least 2 of these games. I think. We’ll see how they play out. Could lose at Detroit like we did at Philly….not sure I’d sweat that. I just think it’s worth noting the Chiefs O looked like complete trash last year, lost to us at home in December, and finished the 3 seed - then won in Buffalo and Baltimore to get to the SB. We had an ideal path and it didn’t matter. The only thing that matters for playoff teams - especially the division winners - is health. Not necessarily how you finish.

So if I do a quick NY Times playoff simulator …. IMO 13-4 that will lock up the 2 seed. Baltimore and Pittsburgh are going to lose games. We need to win 2 of the 3 vs SF, KC, and Detroit. Finish 5-2. We do that take care of business in division we will finish the 2 seed.

I think we’re going to protect and hide Coleman and Cooper from them - no need to rush them. This won’t be the offense they see in the playoffs. I think Kincaid is going to be out to. We might not see him till week 14 or 15.

Ideally you want a WR core where you hit in the draft on a bonafide number 1. Because we have to pay the elite QB. Then like you said surround him with a bunch of good WRs at lower cost. The next big WR contract we give will be to a guy we drafted.
