  1. If we're tanking for a top 5 pick trading Sammy virtually guarantees that happens.

Since I'd only take a first, who might do that? I think there's only 3 teams.

Seattle. Perfect compliment to Baldwin and Graham.

Arizona. Fitz is almost done. John Brown has health issues. And JJ Nelson is not even a no.3 WR. This teams window is closing fast.

Dallas. Dez's numbers are falling off and unless you think Beasley and a 57 year old Witten are legit number 2s....I think they could be a possibility.

I'm not saying I'd do this. Merely considering what teams would actually give up a no. 1. I can't see any other team dealing. Because most would feel there's a good chance it's a top 15 pick and they won't do that for Sammy. Those 3 teams can justify it.

  2. The Graham trade ruined this team. Not necessarily bc of Graham...who took long enough to make an impact. But nowhere near justifying his salary. His salary, Wilson's, and the guys they paid on D have left holes in places like oline.

And none bigger then losing Unger---that was a big deal. Plus a first round pick.

Sherman can't come out and say that tho.

  3. The next big elite QB is Derek Carr. Drafted in the 2nd round.

From the list of QBs drafted since 2010, IMO he's the cream of a thin crop. The 2000 teens have been very uninspiring so far.

    Carr

    Cam

    Luck

    Marriota

    Jameis

    Dalton?

    Cousins?

    Everyone else is meh.

We're well over due on getting a new wave of elite QBs like we saw 2000--2009.

  4. Common link with most elite QBs: great offensive coaches

Mahomes going to KC increases his chances of being good.

    Mahomes to Buffalo...the opposite IMO.

I don't just want the next great QB. I want my own tree of great offensive minds here. BB in NE best moves have been to keep a great tree of OCs from Weiss to O'Brien to McDaniel.

That's the key. But we can't get great offensive minds here bc the QB situation has stunk. All our coaches in the drought (except for 1) have been defensive guys who's choices for OC have been terrible (Lynn might be the exception and he's now a HC).

That one? Gailey. Who was a retread but still made Fitz a ton of money and made our team somewhat fun again. But no successor worth a damn.

So yes, if you're wondering I'm not thrilled with McD as HC but only bc I'm skeptical of his offensive staff.

Edit: Mularkey as well. And he had success in year 1 (Football Outsiders ranks that team as the best to not make the playoffs since it began tracking in the early 90s). And his OC was Tom Clements who went to Green Bay as QB coach.

  5. In 13 games in 2015, his sophomore season, he had 60 catches for 1047 yds and 9 TDs. With supposed trash as his QB.

Then in the off season he suffers the Jones fracture. Tries to play. Clearly can't. Should have been completely shut down.

I'm fine with no option if he's not healthy. But let's stop with the nonsense he's a bust or he's overrated. The exact opposite. It's not his fault his moron GM (still believe to this day it was a Brandon move) drafted him how they did.

If we picked him in the 5th round he'd be viewed completely different from fans.

    No way I'm trading him.

  6. We were going to take Lattimore at 10---which we would have loved...most of us myself included.

But we may have got the better of the two in White. Conley wasn't happening. And btw I'd draft another corner in round 2. King?

In addition we get a 3rd tomorrow and an extra first next year (the Chiefs are not making the playoffs---That pick will be 15-17 at worst.)

    I think I'm good.

  7. Big Blitz Mock 2.0 .....final top 10.

    1. Browns - Myles Garrett, DE

    2. 49ers - Jamal Adams, S

    3. Bears - Malik Hooker, S

    4. Jaguars - Jonathan Allen, DE

    5. Titans - Marshon Lattimore, CB

    6. TRADE Browns give Jets #12 (where the Jets will take Howard) and a 2nd - select Mitch Trubisky, QB

    7. Chargers - Derek Barnett, LB

    8. Panthers - Leonard Fournette, RB

    9. Bengals - Reuben Foster, LB

    10. Bills - Mike Williams, WR

Done. Enjoy the evening. Go Bills!

  8. Just another reason to not overreach on a QB at 10.

    1. Can draft one in rounds 3--5. Plus next year's draft. If we aren't a playoff team we'll be picking in top 15 again...likely top 10 I have us at 7-9 at best.

    2. And available guys in the league. I know....very few. But Bradford had a nice season for the Vikes---compare his stats with Carr's. Maybe a Jimmy G or Cousins hits the market. Now Bridgewater.

So when we do get good QB play (I'm not going to say franchise QB) you want as much talent on the team as possible when it happens.

  9. I would move up to 5 to get Hooker.

Reports Titans looking to trade out.

I'd do that in a second. Our 10th and a 3rd next year. If you got a shot at the next Ed Reid you do it.

Safety in my opinion is becoming the most important position in football after QB.

  10.

I think in my own final mock top 10.....the Bills are going to take Mike Williams. I hope Hooker falls but it ain't happening. 1. Browns - Myles Garrett, DE 2. 49ers - Solomon Thomas, DE 3. Bears - Jamal Adams, S 4. Jaguars - Jonathan Allen, DE 5. Titans - Marshon Lattimore, CB 6. Jets - Malik Hooker, S 7. Chargers - Derek Barnett, LB 8. Panthers - Leonard Fournette, RB 9. Bengals - Corey Davis, WR 10. Bills - Mike Williams, WR Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk

    Picks 2-10 are incorrect.

    Probably.

It's basically what I think each team SHOULD do.

    And they'll be a trade maybe 2.

Because we're Buffalo that's what's going to happen.

    10. Bills - If that's how the top 10 goes I'm trading back no further then 14-18.
