  1. I don't think Miami's front is good. One sack on Jones. I'd break glass in case of emergency if they look terrible this week - bc then it's Washington.
  2. And 3 holding calls on pass plays? Is that 57 drop backs? Hey good news, all that passing under duress and zero INTs is impressive.
  3. And they will.....not against fronts like Pitt, Wash, or Tampa unless Josh plays near perfect.
  4. We had SIXTEEN total run plays that didn't include Allen and one of those was McKenzie. And I think 5 of the 16 were on the last drive. It was not in the game plan at all. We thought we could hold up their front 4 in pass pro and made a terrible mistake.
  5. We need to win the division first. I think everyone is getting way to ahead of themselves. It's going to be a long season. 16 games left. We got our turd out of the way last year it was Tennessee and KC. Sucks we can't open vs the Jets every season.
  6. The Titans, Colts, and Browns all lost today - brutally I might add. All SB contenders. That might need revisiting. After week 1, this is the pekking order: 1. Chiefs 2. Chargers (yep, 2nd best team that had the best off season acquisition - Linsley) 3. Steelers 4. Browns 5. Bills 6. Miami That's it. It's going to be one of those 5 (no way Miami) Tennessee losing Smith might be a massive deal. The Colts have ZERO firepower. The Browns will be good. The Ravens have too many key injuries. Let's beat Miami please.
  7. Steelers couldn't run it and that was my primary concern. Ben gets rid of it in 2.5 seconds or less. There is no way to consistently get to him. The punt block. That was the difference it deflated everybody in the 4th quarter. I also know this Steelers oline is not the best litmus test right now bc it isn't good yet. But collectively I thought they were good and Oliver stood out the most.
  8. It's the trenches. Always. It never ever changes in the NFL. If you have a great to elite QB and the best team in the trenches, you win. Last year the Dline cost us. This year, it looks like interior Oline is going to be an issue - against great fronts. That interior line has to protect and open holes for running backs I'm not convinced are good enough to worry defenses at all.
  9. McD needs to go into the film rooms holding up game plans and then proceed to rip them apart and hammer home to everyone: "None of this matters if you can't match the anger and intensity the teams you beat up on last year will be bringing at you every week. Welcome to life being the hunted."
  10. Sort passing yards against per game https://www.footballdb.com/stats/teamstat.html?lg=NFL&yr=2020&type=reg&cat=T&group=D&conf=&sort=passypg 194
  11. I can't. You can't build on from last year's pass first pass early pass often offense by doing it even more and now going 4 or 5 wide almost half the game.......then decide you can pound the ball in once you get to the 10 with an oline and RB that can't run it well consistently enough and running that ridiculous 4th and 1 play was proof even our OC doesn't believe we can run it when we need it - at least against a D like this. At least keep them spread out with 3 or 4 wide. And keep doing what you do - throw the ball.
  12. Yes it absolutely is they were #1 against the pass last year. Its the scheme, it's the pressure that makes a great secondary even better. This game was almost a near carbon copy vs them last year minus our oline completely collapsing -- and they had Haden back today. He didn't play in last years game. So I'm flushing this and moving on. The good news is I think our defense is significantly better.
  13. Laughable. These are America's judges. Do we get headlines like this for Obama over immigration or health insurance rulings? Trump's Judges Are Playing A Huge Role In Upholding Anti-Abortion Laws Across The Country https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/zoetillman/trump-judges-abortion-access-legal-challenge
  14. It's not rocket science. Look up the numbers. Allen vs the Blitz is awesome....I think he was at 70% in 2020 Vs zone not as good but he doesn't see zone as much. Teams can't often bring consistent pressure with just 4. So they blitz and Allen made teams pay last year. But if you can get home quick with 4 or even 3 like Pittsburgh did or the Chiefs before them, Josh and most every single QB is going to struggle - and the Steelers secondary is excellent. The only front 4 (especially the interior) we'll see like that is Washington and Tampa. And both those secondaries are not as good or even close to as good as Pittsburgh.
  15. Oh no........it's all good. The NY Times is telling us the claims of fraud are all false. They know with certainty...no rooting interest at all!
  16. How about playing man with inferior corners against those WRs.
  17. I still don't think people understand and respect the defense we just played. They're going to do that to EVERY offense they play. It could be the best D in the NFL. And we had them. Oh well. On to Miami.
  18. Honey Badger isn't playing. That's the key to the Chiefs D. Also there is something to be said about preparing for a game for a month that no one expects you to win. And to having the best oline in football.
  19. Cameron Heyward absolutely wrecked our interior line. Our OTs can hold their own vs the best. We've seen it. We have seen our interior oline vs great DTs get man handled.
  20. I wouldn't go that far. The Ravens game was in fantastic 2020s NFL football weather. The Colts were a great D and we did just fine. Chiefs game was I mean come on. Our oline is average.
  21. You need tight ends to beat them. A threat from 2 TE looks This matchup was just horrendous all around
  22. EVERYONE underestimated this Steelers defense. I was feeling that after the Watt signing a bad feeling. That we still don't matchup well with them my concern was running the ball but their pass defense is better. Engram is better then Dupree. Much better. It might be the best D we see all year.
