  1. In theory, this is fine as a concept. Get an established #1. Stockpile picks to still have some semblance of a draft and trade for a WR. But honestly, I don't see Tee Higgins as a #1 and Debo is a little older and has more miles on him than I would like. Ayuk is interesting, but is going to cost a fortune probably in assets and definitely an extension. Is there another guy out there that they could be looking at? There has to be a plan. I refuse to believe Beane got stupid all of a sudden. There has to be something cooking. Not giving up on Beane yet.
  2. I don't even know what to think here...... They traded down twice, once with your biggest rival. Then, the second team you trade down with takes the guy I really wanted. I honestly don't know what the heck we're doing. The only thing I can think of is that we are going to be trading for an established WR and we are accumulating assets to do so. It's the only thing that makes some sort of sense.
  3. The only thing I can think of is that the Bills made this deal like this: KC called the Bills asking to trade up The Bills said the only way they will trade up is if KC agreed to tell them who they were taking KC told them it was Worthy They agreed to the trade, knowing they weren't taking Worthy and that Worthy was going to be there at 32 and the Chiefs would get him anyway So, they decided to take the 3rd rounder from the Chiefs knowing that KC was going to get him anyway The Bills obviously don't love a guy. Ugh...... If it was anyone but the Chiefs, fine, but man.....sometimes it's about the principle of the thing.
  4. Beane had to know who they were taking.....had to. This is the moment that Beane's job and his seat had the fire started under it. If he turns into the next Tyreek Hill, they continue to beat you, and you traded them the pick to allow them to do it, you are out. I'm sorry.....you are out if that happens.
  5. So.....as it stands, it's the Packers, Bucs, and Cards ahead of us. While I don't think any of those teams will take a WR, this is where I am really worried about getting jumped. Everyone and their mother knows we need a WR and this is where I am nervous about a team getting ahead of us.
  6. Dallas traded the pick to the Lions...... Interesting.
  7. Here's the thing. If we really wanted BTJ, we would have gotten him. The way this draft fell, there were plenty of options to trade up to the late teens or early 20s to take him. There were for sure opportunities there to secure him. I think with him getting to #23 and with us not trading up just 6 spots or so to get him, tells us all we need to know about how Beane felt about him. He was obviously not head and shoulders above the others. Who knows. Beane may have other players even ranked ahead of him. I am worried about Dallas here, though. They can easily take a WR.
  8. I think Jax takes a WR here. They could definitely use a CB, but they have their pick of WRs here. And Dallas is definitely another likely WR spot. As close as we are, I am not going to get excited yet because we could easily see 2-3 WRs come off the board before we pick between these teams and a team that could potentially trade ahead of us.
  9. Dolphins were actually practical. Go figure. The Eagles won't take one, so, is there one that Beane absolutely needs and wants to secure? If so, this is the trade to make. Jax and Dallas could both take WR. Then, you have to start worrying about the teams behind you jumping up as well. So, if there is someone Beane absolutely needs, this is the pick to try and get.
  10. 3 out of the next 4 teams could be WR. Big stretch here. Steelers could absolutely take one, even though they could use a CB and C. The Dolphins absolutely could because they are the freaking Dolphins and just want to create a track team even though they have question marks all over the defense. The Eagles won't take one, but Jax will for sure. If we have a guy we want, trading with the Eagles is probably the only option here.
  11. Yup. It's pretty obvious at this point. If there is a WR that Beane absolutely wants and doesn't want to take a chance of him being there, #22 or earlier has to be the target. If we let Jax pick without jumping them, I think it will be pretty obvious Beane has all these guys rated about the same.
  12. Depending on what happens with Jax and Cin, I think we are going to get a real good idea on how Beane has these WRs graded. With the way the draft has fallen, there will be plenty of opportunities to trade up into the early 20s to secure the guy they like best. If they don't, I think it will become pretty obvious that we just have all these WRs rated about the same (outside of the top 3). I think if we get through say pick 20 and no other WRs have gone, if we don't appear on the screen, they obviously don't want to spend even a little bit to get a specific guy. At this point, I am really hoping Legette is their guy and they are just confident he's going to be there for them to take. Guess we'll see over the next 3-4 picks. But the Rams, Steelers, Jags, Cowboys, and even the Dolphins could want to take a WR. A lot of teams to dodge to just sit there if we like a guy.
  13. With the way this is playing out, we will have our pick of premier defensive players at 28! Ugh...... Get McDermott out of the draft room immediately! Don't need him in Beane's ear.
  14. Would have hated Odunze or Bowers more. Lineman are lineman. Important, but nobody will ever go into a game fearing a lineman.
  15. While I hate that the Jets get 2 mid round picks to move down one spot and still get the guy they wanted, I am still very happy they didn't have a chance to get Odunze. I will never fear a lineman. While they are certainly important, I am surprised they didn't go with the TE.
  16. Well, at this point, I am hoping that the Bills are going to go with my second option in working to trade up from 60 back into the lower 30s and double dip. Give me Legette and one of the other guys rated in the same area - Mitchell, Worthy, McConkey, etc. While Odunze would have been nice, I truly think Legette could be a very similar player in the long run. The AJ Brown comparisons for him are real and I now want him.
  17. Whelp......it is what it is. I think we're going to be here a while now.
  18. If the Bears don't trade with the Bills, they better take Odunze. I don't want him on the Jets.
