  1. Me thinx you need spectacles oh Dolfan wanker ... I was stating that there was a Miami team (Seahawks) who were in the old AAFC in 1946, the same league that the original Buffalo Bills/Bisons were in .. AAFC began in 1946 to compete against NFL ... Known the 1st season as Buffalo BISONS Changed nickname, became Buffalo BILLS in 1947, and played as that thru 1949 Disbanded in 1950 when the Browns, 49ers and Colts were absorbed into the NFL Miami was the Seahawks in '46, but disbanded after just one season, opening the door for Baltimore to take their place. Hence, Baltimore Colts (1st Edition)
  2. LoL .. A poster here named 'Rockpile' ? Love it ! How appropriate ..
  3. I'd have preferred to play 'em in Baton Rouge on the nice natural surface they got down there ... I see the aqua scum Dolphins will be getting that luxury
  4. That'd much depend on what YOUR reference of 'real football with the less than normal quota for overpaid crap' is now, innit
  5. Timmy Nolans is a BILLS bar ? ... I'll be damned ! Cheers for that info budd ..
  6. Peter ... you may wanna check out the ' Holy Crap boys and girls' thread ..
  7. Actually, there was a team in the old AAFC that the original BILLS were in, in the late 40s. They were the Miami Seahawks who folded after one year opening the way for the very 1st Baltimore Colts. Those COLTS folded after just 1 season after the merger of the AAFC & NFL in 1950, and then the the YANKEES/TEXANS moved in there for the '53 season I had heard and became the 2nd edition of the Baltimore Colts That's the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth (I fink) ...
  8. I dunno pal, rumor has it he rehearsed with Ashlee Simpson ..
  9. No need to thank me mate ... Just go get that chequebook or credit card of yours
  10. Here's what the Kansas City Chiefs franchise looked like when they were still in Dallas and known as the Dallas Texans Dallas Texans
  11. In case you're not aware of it, Champions League games ARE televised They're LIVE on ESPN2, and SETANTA ... Channels 209, and 615 on DIRECTV You can expect these games next Tue & Wed at about 11:30 am Pacific / 2:30 pm Eastern on ESPN2. I believe the Liverpool and Man Ure games.. Then SETANTA will be showing both the Chelsea & Arsenal games next Tue & Wed, same times ... Many footy fans aren't aware of this, as they only expect it to be shown on FOX SOCCER CHANNEL, which doesn't do Champions League ...
  12. LOL ... Since nobody else will answer your question, it may as well be me .. The TEXANS will wear their usual away uniform with white jersey and navy pants. The NFL permanantly retired the OILERS and their history, so neither the TITANS or the OILERS could don that look even if they wanted to. I really respected the BROWNS fans for fighting the NFL, which earned then the right to keep their name, colors, and history. Ashame the OILERS so-called fans didn't do the same. OILERS is much better than TEXANS in all those ways in my opinion ... The TITANS have an alternate 3rd jersey which is Red jersey w/ Navy Blue trim, the exact opposite of their Navy Blue Jersey w/ Red Trim that they usually can wear ..
  13. Righty-oh buddy ... Yo comprende .. It's just so hard for me to EVER root for the RAI-DAH's
  14. Spot-on Mr Clutch, couldn't agree more with all your views The relegation/promotion system is fantastic, but I agree it just couldn't fly here. Last day of last season was so exciting with Southampton, West Brom, Norwich, and Crystal Palace scenario as to which one of the four would survive on that last Saturday. The scene at the Hawthorns with their fans rushing onto the pitch when West Brom became the team to survive, not to mention how they had the lowest odds of all four clubs to stay up .. Just can't beat that system and what it creates late in the season 'eh ...
  15. That 'stud' missed a gimme goal just minutes from time last night on a very genorous cross from Landon Donovan, who just as easily could've gotten a threatening shot off himself. Coming back from turf-toe or not, he should of headered that one away .. It would've given us the result instead of settling for a draw against 'Guacamole' FFS .. He's a great player, definitely up & coming, but hasn't reached 'stud' status yet. Studs put those ones away when they get opportunities like that ...
  16. Well, if ya'll remember just 2 seasons ago we thrashed them 31-0 in the season/home opener and they still won the Super Bowl ... Not to mention them returning the favor 31-0 in the season finale
  17. F**k the Raiders ! ... I'm STILL pissed off about the Daryl Lamonica trade ..
  18. I love it ... and David Healy of Leeds United with the cracker of a goal ! I'd say that ole Sven is in big big trouble ... All that talent, and they get a lucky goal to beat Wales, then they lose to lowly Northern Ireland (sorry No Ireland supporters, but it's true) Sven should will be getting the sack soon, the England fans are on him likk hungry dogs
  19. Chargers throwbacks are total class, best I've ever seen ... Can't wait to see ours on Sunday ... We ought to come out with a white throwback jersey in time for the San Diego game so that we can we ours too when playing them. The blue throwbacks aren't dark enough, so they'd clash with the Chargers ... It could look like '65 & '66 all over again if both teams wore theirs ... I likks that idea .. Excellent article you posted there, cheers for sharing that
  20. Next thing we'll hear is that he challenged his instant replays quite well ... lol
