  1. all of these great points...the fans get it! I really hope the Bills staff understands and sees' the same points, observations that we do. "captain checkdown 2.0" I saw somewhere, I was thinking that against the Jets game first time around, just after 2 and a half games. He either has to dramatically improve and let him "open" up, or make him if it's EJ thats the main cause, or just realize that he's not "our guy" and move on...whatever happens, please let hit happen quickly! I love Buffalo Bills football, but can only take so much
  2. why do they have to keep things simple? and "short" throws aren't simple. you can still have guys run downfield and throw it to them...still pretty simple. they don't want him to have to do any reads, progressions...they didn't keep it simple for Thad. my point is they are babying him way too much. i agree that he needs to be in there, not too concerned about wins and losses, I was excited about good, tough, competitive play, they beat the cheifs, that was the most impressive i've seen them in a long time, but yesteday was not even close to anything good. if he made some confident, hard, tough throws, showed any type of poise, anything positive and they lost, so be it. Geno is showing he can get it done, he's had some horrific games as well, but some really good ones too, EJ has not. they need to give him a shot and unfortuatley it's not gonna get better this Sunday against the Jets...he will be inconsisitant, hesitant and too quick to checkdown.
  3. If you look at the games when EJ was playing, the play calls were run, run, pass. A article on Buffalobills.com interviewing EJ he said, and i'm paraphrasing, "we have to get our runs on first and second down better, so we are 3rd and 3 instead of 3rd and 9 or 10" right there he was admitting that they just ran the ball on 1st and 2nd. Hacket did loosen up a very tiny bit in the 4th game or so, but still kept the playcalling very basic and "safe". all short throws, nothing deep. Marone defended EJ like crazy, but absolutly no blame on him. But look at the post game interview when he was talking about Thad, basically threw him under the bus, saying you can't turn it over, he missed a bunch of throws etc. What they did for Thad is let him "open" up the play book, a lot of down field throws, nice play action, trick plays etc...for tuel as well. I really beleive they have this "well, Thad's a practice squad QB, so if he plays bad we have that as an excuse" but for EJ, he is their "baby" their "project" that they made a 1st rd pick on, a "reach", so if he plays poorly it looks bad on Marone and whoever else had their say in drafting him. look at the playcalling from yesterday, not ONE downfield play against the WORST D at giving up 50plus yard plays in the league! they babied EJ, marone continues to defend him, "he's a rookie, he missed time" blah blah blah....Thad Lewis played 10 times better than him at his worst...put him back in and at least the games were exciting. I literally FF almost 60% of that game yesterday! it was just like having Trent Edwards and Dick Jauron back all over again! makes me sick, looks like EJ is a bust and Marone will be too stuburn to admit, and 4 years from now we will be back in the same "rebuilding" boat!
  4. Listened to the interview...awesome how he said our QB's can't underthrow our speed receivers....that happend 3 or 4 times against KC...we need to connect on those! EJ needs to throw it far as he can and let those speedsters go get it!
  5. very well for a rookie? he threw a 100 yard pick six from the 1 yard line against a undefeated team who couldn't move the ball to save their life!?!!!!!! if he hiked the ball, ran backwords 35 yards and dove to the ground, it would have been a better play! he underthrew 3 or 4 deepballs where the WR had 2 or 3 yards at least on everyone! he has a chicken arm and a bad spiral, NO BUSINESS IN BUFFALO!
  6. waaaa waaaa waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....booooo....crickets
  7. Yes I am well aware of the "2 points" which it really isn't the rule. It's elbow is ruled down, knee, hip, shoulder, only "1" point is needed, but if it's "feet" then 2 are needed. His hip came down on the line between inbounds and out of bounds as well as the rest of his body out of bounds before any "2" or "1" point importance contact with the ground...
  8. we all know that if Goodwin was a Patriots receiver, it would have been ruled a catch, reviewed, confirmed a catch, and they would have thrown a 15 yard "defenseless" receiver and/or Roughing the passer on top of it! also, how was Byrd's a "defenseless" receiver when he hits him with his shoulder running to make a play, if he catches that ball and he runs by him, it's a TD! so sick of the NFL screwing the Bills! yea endzone rules are even "stupider" look at the Pats game last night, the Pats receiver catches the ball with 1 foot in play and lands out of bounds, not sure how thats a TD!? i though to be "in play" you have to catch the ball, 2 feet in bounds, and make a football move, NONE of those happended on that play. his hip and elbow land out of bounds b4 anything else happens...mind boggling
  9. Totally disagree...they are good enough...just need a QB that doesn't "lose" the game for us!!!
  10. I DVR every game b/c I am working as well....I turn off my celly to make sure no one txts me etc...I think I might just not even bother today, save me the misery. do you think this could be gamemanship on Marrone's part? Maybe Thad is healthy enough to play????
  11. Second line probably more accurate. But probably more than 1 INT. I think it's more probable that he has one of the worst 1st halfs of all time, for any QB EVER! versus 150 yards and a TD with 1 INT in the first half against a D like this! 2-12, 9 yards, 3 INT. 2 Pick 6's...all before halftime! This sucks because we had a ligit shot at beating them too! EJ needs to toughen' up and get back out there!
  12. just saw this on espn...pretty interesting stats/facts http://espn.go.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/3426/robert-woods-quiet-since-bills-qb-change
  13. yes, absolutely. We used to do it with T.O. all the time to try to get him going, or maybe it was so he didn't cry, but nonetheless, we should try that with Woods and Goodwin. Run some screens and Reverses, end arounds' whatever....something to get these guys moving. Look what Green did to us form that spot in the Cinci game.
  14. yes, thank you for coming and giving us a guaranteed victory over your crappy team is what they were really doing.
  15. Just wondering where has Robert Woods been the last 3 weeks...maybe more. I know EJ liked throwing to him a lot, and he should, but I haven't seen him even have a ball thrown his way in which seems like a month! Woods is a beast, doesn't seem to ever drop anything, makes ridiculous diving catches, seems like the type of guy that you throw to even if he is covered. You think with him and Stevie our pass offense should be dominating D's, even with our QB shuffle. I really think our receivers are being under utilized, big time!
  16. where are you coming up with this stuff? I do beleive he had one major injury last season that put him in IR...other than that he was usually healthy and played if I remember correctly.
  17. c'mon Buffalooooooooooooooo!!! prove me wrong just like you did for the Ravens game!!!!!!!!
  18. The Key to the Bills "keeping it close" b/c I don't think there is any way we could win, is the defense. Don't let the Saints score on huge plays which we have been giving up to much lesser opponets. If they can keep the Offense in front of them and get a few sacks and hits on DBrees, then we might be able to hold them to around 30, in which we should hopefully score 20 or so and keep it close! I really hope we do b/c the bills get no love as it is and if we get blown out it will look "nationally" that a good team destroyed a crappy team...even tho we know the truth!
  19. Did this guy really write this? You feel bad for the people around him if the baby cries? how about the drunk idiots that spill beer all over you or fight with the guy in front of them if they have the other teams jersey on? last year I brought my 11 year old and he got half a cup of beer spilled on him, in december in the rain/sleet 32 degrees. The dummy's were dropping F-bombs every other word, when the beer spilt is when I finally had enough and had him moved or thrown out or whereever they moved him. then like 5 mins later the inebriated women behind me dumps her beer all over my arm and was so wasted she didn't even realize it and just sat there drooling on herself....but yea I feel bad for the people next to you if your baby so happens to cry...give me a break dude. but you should try to sit in the family section if you really are bringing the baby, never sat there but I am going to from now on, especially if I have my children or wife with me!
  20. Well maybe in a few years if the D continues to improve, but there are lots of DC's that actually just like being a DC. DM called the T.O. so the play would be looked at...apparently they did and said it didn't touch the ground. but if our name was the Patriots, it would have been automatically reviewed and most like turned over.
  21. Lots of folks have to work every Sunday! like me! so when the games are later, or on different days in primetime, I get to watch them! live for that matter! I watched teh Miami game at 5pm...no biggie but then I don't get to watch any 4pm games....also, sometimes i'm stuck at work and I don't get to watch the game until midnight! primetime games are fun, to go to as well! The Miami game last year in B'Lo was one of the most fun times I've ever had at the Ralph! btw...there is a new rule that started last season, where EVERY team has to have at least one primetime game, so it might not be a Thursday or Sunday, but could be a Monday, or just a Sunday and not Thursday or Monday etc...
  22. After the fumble when he and Kyle W. were talking on the sidelines you could see him motioning to Kyle that he should have picked up the ball and ran with it. Then Kyle must have said something about falling on it, and Mario was like "F*** dat, F*** dat SH**" pick it up! loved it!
  23. Yea unfortunately I think you are right, but that being said, if EJ turns out to be decent, Thad will be one hell of a back up coming off the bench, especially since it seems EJ is injury prone! Frank Reich came in and won games, Thad can do the same thing. but who knows, maybe he continues to make plays and makes a run as a starter, even tho kinda hoping he doesn't b/c I really like EJ. Tall, strong, good arm...seems like a good kid
  24. Well Special Teams being unable to tackle aside, just saying love the play calling, agrressiveness, especially after the horrid playcalling last season that cost us 3 or 4 games!
