  1. Me trying to not get excited about a fifth rounder
  2. I am no Darnold fan but he’s gotten the crap end of the stick in terms of Coaching and O lines. The Jets organization speaks for itself. What many seem to miss is Brady had zero business being an OC for the Panthers or any NFL team. While McCaffery was playing last year, Darnold was serviceable. When he had to carry the O though, it was over. He had no time back there and doesn’t have the escapability to make constant broken protection work. Rhule would get up in his presser and say they were going to commit to the run and then Darnold would throw it 45 times the next week….. it was insane. Having said that, I feel SD is a career backup.
  3. Come on man!!!!! We don’t need ANY bad juju🤬
  4. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34306813/tampa-bay-buccaneers-starting-center-ryan-jensen-carted-knee-injury?platform=amp While I don’t ever want to watch good players get injured it is a part of the game. Jensen has been money for them and having that security blanket snatched away can’t make ancient Tommy Boy happy.
  5. Matt Corral by week 11-14. Darnold and Mayfield aren’t getting the job done. MacAddoodoo was decidedly anti Mayfield predraft.
  6. Cook out of the slot is something I hoped for. I remember Marv saying they were treating Thurman like a rookie in 88 because he could handle it. I’m very much hoping for the same thing from Cook…ie Rookie of the year😎
  7. Two weeks ago I got it free and $20 a month for 12 months. Not too early
  8. The other night they showed the Bills Tampa Bay game from last year. My wife flipped to it right at the beginning of the fourth quarter. We watched in awe until Diggs got mugged in the EZ/No call. It’s almost more amazing to watch him when you know it’s coming and you can actually stay relaxed and really watch.
  9. My son is 21 . Chatting with Josh would be cool but watching him in action would be better😎 For his birthday he asked to see a regular season game so we are going to the Dec.Jets game.
  10. Nope, looks like I’ve got free tickets front row behind the Bills bench for the Carolinas game with my boy. We both want to see us some JA close up. On the level though, after last years rusty start I believe he needs some reps to get his mind right, especially with a new OC in his ear. They don’t have to expose him to much danger but he does need some live reps.
  11. Agree ….. but he’s also the guy you know will have your back , fearlessly, if your in a back alley brawl. He doesn’t have to fake it because he exudes it.
  12. Yes we do: It’s called the Beane Allen room.
  13. How does this not have its own thread. Browns doing the Brownsiest thing possible. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34277482/sources-cleveland-browns-signing-qb-josh-rosen-1-year-deal?platform=amp
  14. He didn’t merit it. I think it’s the “ A rising tide lifts all boats.” Principle. Even lesser talents are going to have leverage . Murray didn’t sexually assault anyone. Any talk of poor leadership could have that as a counter argument. I think he proved his ability to be a petulant little brat. My guess is the team thought about that and could see what an absolute cluster it could become. I’m not a Murray fan but he has shown consistent improvement. The NFC is wide open and there is potential there over the next few years WITH LUCK.
  15. This doesn’t surprise me. What were they going to do? Franchise tag him after this year? The Browns giving Watson that obscene ( in more ways than one) contract just upped the ante for all who follow.
  16. Agreed. And, he can hit those sideline routes which are really just a function of scramble drills due to pressure. There is no design to this sort of play or potential for YAC.That’s his game and Daboll seemed comfortable letting him do it. He’s also never had a great running game or O line as mentioned above. Hopefully, this year he gets a chance to be comfortable in the pocket. That immediately would allow him to hit some designed plays with timing. Regarding the “ If it ain’t broke” argument …… having Josh expand his repertoire into ball control and quick hitting slants and crossing routes can only help in the long run. It will also serve to keep the designed QB runs down which I hate, except on the real short yardage stuff.
  17. On a team that was playing the antipathy of complimentary football. He was forced to try to score always as the D made my grandmother’s sieve look restrictive. Passing : 3rd in First downs. 5th in passing yards. Rushing: 29th in attempts. 24th in yards.
  18. Flutie lovers always point to his leadership and his moxie and how he “ won games” for us because of it. My primary point is he didn’t win the biggest game he played for us. As I stated , I’m not a RJ fan and freely admit that the D won that game but Johnson still walked off with the win. Dougie didn’t against Miami. Fact My bigger point for bagging on him, ,in this discussion, is he couldn’t hold Bledsoes jock during DB’s first season as a Bill. If Bledsoe had the 1999 or 2000 D in his first year we are a playoff team. He was the best 1 year QB in the period under discussion. Flutie wasn’t.
  19. No agenda. He made plays? Like throwing that pic in the EZ in the playoffs? People claiming he was the best QB during the drought have memories that might need some reprisals 😉 While I’m no R Johnson fan, RJ walked off the field with the win in Tennessee. Not your boy Flutie.
  20. Flutie was a weak armed bum with “ small man syndrome “ on teams with great defenses and good rushing attacks. The only Bills QB I remember who was better at chucking it into the turf short of his receivers due to lack of arm talent was old Vince Ferragamo. Put wonder boy Dougie on the 2002 team and it’s a 4-12 season at best.
  21. Bledsoe was the only reason we went 8-8 in 2002. They were fifth in passing, 24 th in rushing. We ranked 27 th in Defense. Bledsoe passed Kelly in some of the single season records at the time. Did he throw picks? Yep! That’s what happens when you are carrying a team, which he did. After that be sucked but he was the best QB we had for any single season between Kelly and Josh.
  22. He was “ safe”. He played safe and it was safe for the coaches to play him. I saw him play Carolina in a 9-3 stinker that encapsulated his Bills career in one game: Defense and running game giving him one last shot at the end which he couldn’t capitalize on. TT was never going to get us anywhere but would always keep us middle of the round in the draft.
  23. $4.99 a month and even a $50 increase on the ticket would still be considerate cheaper than what most are paying when you consider DTV monthly subscription.
  24. They took a TD away from the Hawks. I forgot about that. Hopefully you are right and the powers that be decide it’s our time for a little extra love. JA needs to get some National advertising contracts. He’s got the looks and the attitude and is squeaky clean. Not sure why he hasn’t yet but he has what it takes to be the face of this league.
