I think wind favors the Bills.  Rudolph has a strong enough arm - but I've never seen anyone throw in the wind like Allen.

Anyone remember the strike to Diggs in the EZ in the Pat/wind game?  I think that was over 40 yards, and he put it right on Diggs hands.

And, fortunately, the Bills have a run game now.  We can run on anyone if we have to.

Unfortunately the Steelers biggest weakness is coverage.  If the pass game is compromised we wont be able to take advantage of that.

Pickens didn't have a pass thrown his way last game and yet they won.

    So that would be incorrect.

The game was played in a monsoon.

The two prior normal games- since being inserted- Rudolph had unlocked Pickens with 195 and 131 yards respectively while averaging nearly 30 a catch.

Pickens isn't a separator, he's a contested ball specialist and Rudolph is giving him a chance lofting them up.  That's going to be tough in the expected conditions.

You do realize the wind doesn't care how strong your arm is. It's going to blow the ball off course to some degree. Especially with how the wind swirls at Highmark.  For this particular game if it is 20-25, you gotta run and be willing to checkdown to pass plays under 10 yards.

Good.  Because all Rudolph seems to be able to do is loft them deep to Pickens

I hope McD got a good look at Von’s tuneup game for the playoffs after sitting him last week and makes the smart decision to put Miller in moth balls the rest of the way. Might as well play 10 on defense for all of what Miller brings on the field at this stage.

And the moment Bryant gets healthy, send Poona back to the inactive list as well.

    Poona has been good

Five straight playoff appearances, Five straight double digit win seasons and a chance tonight at four straight division titles tonight!

Sounds like it’s time to fire the coach!

They are. But only moderately. They are still a bottom 3rd of the league Oline.

Otherwise.... I wouldn't swap McDermott for Taylor. And sure, they drafted Chase 5th overall. They also drafted Higgins 33rd overall. Give them credit for those two picks. But their last six day 1 and 2 picks have been defense. I think your perception that they have prioritised offense massively more than Buffalo is slightly off.

And, let's see what happens with these Bengals contracts moving forward.

    I have it at  38.10%.

Steelers/Ravens is 1/3 of the equation.   I have Ravens as about 40% chance so that is 13.2%

Jaguars/Titans is 1/3 of the equation and I have Titans at 25% chance so that is 8.25 percent.

Bills/Dolphins is 1/3 of the equation which I have at 50/50 or 16.65%

So, my calculation is 38.10% probability of being in on Sunday at midnight.

    Where's the confused emoji?

we only need one of three events to “fire” in order to make the dance.

I figure we have about a 60% chance to beat a hobbled Fish team, and put the Steelers-Ravens game at close to 50-50.  So, 82% sounds about right (Titans beating Jags is a bit of a longshot).

Even the Titans are only 3.5 point dogs.  Calculating the % based on the disqualifying three leg parlay is the best method, IMO.

I find that to be optimistic....probably 60% is about right.  I do think they'll make it and I think they'll beat Miami, but beating a playoff team on the road can't be super high odds and I think there's little chance Steelers or Jaguars lose.  The NYT calculator probably considers likelihood of Ravens beating Steelers based on their past performances but probably doesn't take into account that Ravens have clinched and won't play many of their starters.

Yeah, if you play with the simulator it’s junk.  If I select Bills and Titans losing it still gives the Bills an 85% chance of making the playoffs.  Which obviously makes little sense since PIT is actually favored.

I had the same thought… now that he’s healthy, what are the chances that he’s made active and then pinned on Hill (with a safety to bracket him)???  Is that a totally insane idea?

Our secondary is set and playing excellent, especially at corner.

    Who said they were standouts?

I was trying to reconcile this comment- "Miami doesn't have anywhere near the Dline that NE and LA have" and who on LA that compares with Wilkins, Seiler, Raekwon Davis, and even Ogbah, Van Ginkel and Ingram.

Miami lost some guys but they have depth there.

In fairness to Josh, he held out as long as he could. He didn't start going nuts until the season became do or die.

If he truly is hurt, the Bills need to do a better job, collectively, of not putting us into a hole early in the season.

If we need psycho Josh to win game in November and stay alive in the hunt, we are gonna see a lot of fizzled seasons.

Not sure the org could do much more beyond and additional outside weapon.

He’s had a top defense, highly rated oline, and productive run game.  It’s our pass offense that is holding this team back.

if consistently elite, or even good, Josh shows up all year we’re not in this hole.

It’s not helpful that Josh seeks out contact.

Yeah, it’s not just run or don’t run.  Just be smarter.  Pat and Lamar run all the time, but don’t take the hits.  Josh loses his mind and turns into demolition derby.
