  3. Mass shooting out of control, red states awash in drug zombies, women denied basic health care because pro-putin, pro-gun death, pro-hate people want to hurt women Hey, at least Obamacare is still expanding, even in red states!
  4. Probably all of them. Notic how these bought judges are staying ultra conservative. Nixon's and Reagan's judges did not all stay that way. They were not bought. Best judges money can buy. Corruption at the highest levels

  9. - Threat to jobs - Q: Isn't their potential to replace people's jobs a threat? "You could probably obsolete maybe 80 percent of jobs that people do, without having an AGI, by my guess. Not with ChatGPT exactly as a product. But with systems of that nature, which are going to follow in the next few years. "I don't think it's a threat. I think it's a benefit. People can find better things to do with their life than work for a living... Pretty much every job involving paperwork should be automatable. "The problem I see is in the interim period, when AIs are obsoleting one human job after another... I don't know how (to) solve all the social issues." https://news.yahoo.com/ai-could-replace-80-jobs-211900514.html
  10. Ever hear of General John Kelly? John Bolton?
  11. Oh, this will help things.... As everyone knows, there is no more effective way to shape the behavior of young people than through state-mandated posters on their classroom walls. At least that’s what Republicans in the Texas legislature seem to believe, which is why they’re advancing a bill requiring the posting of the Ten Commandments in every public school classroom in the state. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/05/09/texas-legislature-christian-nationalism-ten-commandments/
  12. When Conservatives used to nominate and put judges on the court many of them turned much more liberal. Now with a steady stream of funding heading their way from Conservative mega donors, they are paying to keep the court Conservative., That's what is happening. Creating economic dependence
  13. Those regional banks that tanked the other day have already come back up
  14. Chips and Inflation Adjustment Act. Fortune magazine reported recently, “The Biden administration’s efforts to revive U.S. manufacturing appear to be succeeding, with some business sectors plowing in almost 20 times the investment in new U.S. manufacturing projects versus only a few years ago.” The Chips and Science Act and the Inflation Reduction Act have injected “over $400 billion into clean energy technology and semiconductor manufacturing in the form of government incentives and subsidies, as well as create thousands of new jobs.” On top of that, private industry has invested more than $200 billion, “almost double what it was in 2021 and nearly 20 times above 2019 levels.” The number of projects more than $1 billion went from four in 2019 to 31 now. The result: More than 100,000 clean tech jobs were created since the IRA and the Chips Act passed. Biden is transforming the economy. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/05/05/may-5-travel-newsletter/
  15. The Internal Revenue Service. Despite Republican howling, additional funds for the IRS mean the government collects more of what people owe and thereby reduces the amount we have to borrow or tax others. It also helps ordinary taxpayers. Former car czar Steven Rattner observed recently, “Since the passage of the IRA, the agency has hired more than 5,000 new customer service agents. Consequently, response rates to taxpayer increases have improved dramatically. During the last tax season, just 15% of customer calls were answered with live support; this year, the figure shot up to nearly 90%.” Moreover, “the Congressional Budget Office estimates that the additional funding will result in an extra $177 billion of tax collections between now and 2031, reducing the budget deficit over that period by roughly $100 billion.” That is a smart use of taxpayer money. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/05/05/may-5-travel-newsletter/
