  1. i think bills fans are under-rating the role that marrone has in mind for tony moeaki. judging by the way 1bd discussed moeaki last december, the fo sees him as the offensive equivalent of an alan branch / manny lawson signing. combine that with the facts that the bills don't seem interesting in heavily investing in non-premium positions (see: safety w/ byrd, guard w/ levitre) and that its looking like good tight ends can be had in the second/third round and i doubt very highly that ebron is on bills radar at nine. also, I may be wrong but it feels like the bills have gone after drafting intense, intelligent players recently and ebron does not seem to fit the bill ( ).
  2. shayne skov, the LB from stanford didnt get a chance to work out at the combine due to injury, but if he keeps flying under the radar he could be a huge pick for us at the top of the third.
  3. The tackle class this year is also very deep and so you could make the same argument for waiting til the 2nd for an OT.
  4. thanks, really nice to see all that info in the same place.
  5. that was actually pretty great. loving the part where they've stopped talking about football he suddenly he starts crying again, the mom asks him whats wrong? "ryan fitzpatrick... jp losman..."
  6. picking at ninth, how do you big-board: Robinson Watkins Matthews Mack Barr Lewan Evans Ebron and in a trade-down scenario, how do you big board: Lewan Evans Ebron Lee Benjamin Martin Seferian-Jenkins Clinton-Dix
  7. the top three safety salaries in 2014 are $8.4 million ( eric berry ), $8.2 million ( troy polamalu ), and $7.5 million ( eric weddle ). i hope we tag byrd then offer him around 8 or $8.5 million per year for a few years ( with about half that guaranteed ), telling him that if he doesn't take it, he's playing under the tag. if he doesnt go for the long term deal, we trade him a la percy harvin's minnesota/seattle deal.
  8. doug marrone combine press conference: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/165886-1-bold-offseason-prediction/
  9. He posted a QBR above 50 in five of these games. Of these games: 4 were home, 1 was away (Jacksonville). He posted a QBR below 33 in four of these games. Of these games: all 4 were away. If only we could use draft picks to acquire more home games. Unfortunately we cannot, but we can use them to upgrade our offensive line, 'buying' ourselves fewer sacks.
  10. In case anyone wanted Manuel's numbers adjusted to 12.77 games (instead of his actual 10 games started): 230-391 (58.82% comp) 2518yds 14.05 TDs 11.49 INTs 77.7 QB Rating
  11. EJ Manuel Played in 9 Full Games (started 10 and only played half a game against Cleveland). He posted a QBR above 50 in five of these games. In these games he averaged 1.4 sacks/game. He posted a QBR below 33 in four of these games. In these games he averaged 5.0 sacks/game.
  12. there's some talk about fitzpatrick being a cap casualty in tennessee. if that happens, i'd love so see us pick him up to be the veteran back-up / mentor that kolb was supposed to be. fitz has all the makings to be a great teacher at the position (i always had a ton of respect for the guy) and putting him the the QB room with EJ could do big things for EJ's development. does anyone know how a new contract with fitz would interact with our existing 2014 cap-hit for fitz's old contract?
  13. maybe tag and trade him for an RT (Eagles have great OL and terrible safeties....) freeing us up to take a pass catcher in round one and a guard or safety in rd 2
  14. you think the league will take picks? or do you more mean future difficulties in signing FAs?
  15. It seems like the current consensus among Bills fans is that there are three players in this year's draft that Bills would be stoked to get at 9th overall (I know some people are high on Ebron, but for now let's leave him out of this conversation): Greg Robinson (OT) Sammy Watkins (WR) Jake Matthews (OT) Most media draft experts expect three quarterbacks, and two elite pass-rushing talents to go before the Bills pick: Teddy Bridgewater (QB) Jadeveon Clowney (DE) Johnny Manziel (QB) Blake Bortles (QB) Anthony Barr (OLB) In total this amounts to eight ("blue-chip") prospects, meaning that if the Bills drafted at eighth overall, they would be guaranteed to land one of the Robinson-Watkins-Matthews trio. Instead, the Bills draft at ninth overall, which means that at least one other prospect must be drafted before the Buffalo is on the clock if the Bills can hope to land Robinson, Watkins, or Matthews. Among the potential prospects to be drafted at eight or before are: Khalil Mack Derek Carr (in a reach by a quarterback needy team like MIN) Timmy Jernigan So as a Bills fan, root for these guys to climb through the pre-draft process. If all of the top eight are drafted one thru eight, then there are two options: (1) drafting Ebron, Lewan, Evans, or Mack if Whaley feels good about one of those guys. (2) trading down to take Zach Martin, Morgan Moses, Marquise Lee, or Eric Ebron if he falls
  16. the most common comparison i've heard is a better version of our very own mario williams. i know cleveland needs a qb and offensive help, but i cant help but wonder if pettine wont be able to resist getting the corner-stone to his defense, mario 2.0
  17. you are all under-rating clowney. the dude is a bad, bad man, he was literally working against triple teams for most of the year. yes, triple teams, as in three grown men working against one jadeveon clowney. even if he never gets a tackle he is negating almost one third of the opposing offense (3/11 players). i know DE is not a need, but i feel like if clowney gets so under-rated that he falls past 4, that is amazing value and i wouldn't mind seeing buffalo trade up to grab him. sure, we'd still have holes at tight end and guard, but our D-line would read: clowney, dareus, williams, and williams. there isn't an offensive line in the nfl that could handle those four; the three guys who arent the best DE prospect to enter the league in the last decade were all in the pro bowl this year.
  18. It's called the CFB247 Podcast with Bucky Brooks, Matt Money Smith, and Daniel Jeremiah: http://www.nfl.com/podcast/nfl-draft-tracker-podcast/1384977503000/detail
