  1. As I said, I would have picked Tyleik Williams if he'd been available. Not a reach for Detroit. I wouldnt have traded up, but the Bills aren't going to get a quality 1T in this draft.
  2. I'm hoping they pick Tyleik Williams, but they're going to take a corner.
  3. Expect two or three CBs to go before the Bills pick. They'll take the highest graded one left on the board.
  4. I'd be OK with it. Not excited about a CB, but I know they need one early.
  5. Well, that's too bad. I wouldn't expect Harmon to make it to 30 now, either.
  6. There's no 'fascination' with trading back for its own sake. I want them to draft a 1T with their first pick. If Harmon, Grant and Tyleik Williams (whom I forgot in the first post) are gone at 30, I want them to trade back in order to better match value on Alfred Collins, whom I expect will go in the mid R2 area.
  7. I want them to take either Harmon or Grant, assuming one or both are available. If not, I would want them to trade back and take Collins. I'm all but certain that they're actually going to take the best CB on their board. As long as they solve the 1T problem by the end of day 2, I'm OK with it. I get it, they need a CB or two.
  8. Not necessarily. Relative player grades still apply at 30, as well as their expectations for availability at 56 and 62 (or trading up from one or both). That being said, I think it's likely that they take their best remaining CB at 30. I also think it's vital that they find a good run defending 1T that can anchor the LOS and I hope they've taken care of that by the end of R2. DE is a difficult one to project, IMO. They clearly need an elite rush end. The problem is, they have four significant contracts on the roster (Rousseau, Bosa, Epenesa, Hoecht) plus a developmental prospect they seem to like (Solomon). They probably won't keep more than 5. If you pick one at 30, he pushes Solomon off the roster (or Epenesa is traded), but there's a high chance that he gets lost among that group as a rookie and doesn't do much. To me, it looks more appropriate to take a guy in R3-5 to compete with Solomon as the developmental guy and then see what you have at the end of the year. Agreed, and there's a similar problem at DE, with the rookie behind Rousseau, Bosa, Epenesa and Hoecht on the roster and likely just in immediate competition with Solomon. If he doesn't hit the ground running...and most late 1st round DEs don't...he's probably not going to do anything this year.
  9. I'm not against it, assuming they also add a quality 1T early as well. I think they only really need a 1T and a CB, so they have an early pick to spare.
  10. Grant or Harmon. I don't care which. Their DL got shoved all over the field most of last year and that's something that can't continue. There's a good argument for a CB here as well, but I have more confidence in the FO finding a good CB on day 2 than I do for a 1T.
  11. I'm working under the assumption that we expect both to become All Pro type players at their positions. The DE probably does have more impact, if you hit on the pick, but I think the CB is less risky. But if you see Hunter as just a good CB, then yes, you probably should roll the dice on the upside at DE.
  12. Travis Hunter. The pass rushing DE probably has a bit more upside if he hits, but, as a general rule, I also view the risk with a pass rushing DE as considerably higher than with a CB (in fact, I view pass rushing DEs as the most difficult position to draft aside from QB). In that sense, given two elite prospects, it becomes a risk management game for me.
  13. On general principle, as boring as a 1st round pick at CB is, I wouldn't absolutely hate it given the need, but I'd be concerned if they pick a guy coming off a major injury.
  14. Just based on the list of pre-draft visits, I think you're right. They seem to be doing most of their work at WR on guys projected to go on day 3. I'm not sure I like that, either, but if I had to guess, CB, DT and DE are the likely day 1 and 2 picks, barring trades.
  15. At a glance, matching player visits with the round I'd expect them to be selected, I'm thinking DT, CB and DE in some order with those first three picks, with the WR being a R4 or 5 guy. I don't necessarily like that, either. I'd like to see them take a WR earlier, assuming the value isn't out of balance.
  16. It's really close, but I think I'd take advantage of the DT depth, double up at 1T and take Collins. Royals would be my 2nd choice. A CB would be my preference here, but it seems like the value isn't there. In this type of scenario, I would expect the Bills to trade up for a CB here or trade out of the pick if they can't.
  17. I don't like the available group of four choices and would much prefer to trade down. Of the players not listed in the poll, I'd consider Josaiah Stewart, Jaylin Noel, Elic Ayomanor, Jalen Royals or even another CB here. I would much prefer a good 1T DT, but I think they've missed out on value in R2 and should wait until 109 (or maybe trade up from that spot in the mid/late R3 range). If absolutely forced to choose from this group of four, I'd probably take Farmer and would not be too happy about it.
  18. I'm not a huge fan of taking two defensive backs in a row, but this is a relatively easy choice...I would select Watts. I'm surprised that Farmer is polling this well. He doesn't seem like a great fit here and is likely to be 2nd in the rotation to Ed Oliver. They need a 1T and I don't think Farmer is that.
  19. I've been saying that for three or four years (and the same for a big, short yardage RB). They haven't done it yet.
  20. Seems like a great deal for minimal risk to me.
  21. Beane always signs three or four inexpensive veterans to give himself options going into the draft.
  22. That's good, he's becoming an excellent player and I'm glad the Bills recognize his value to the team. I'm guessing that the first two or three seasons are relatively team-friendly as well.
  23. Trump was president in May 2020.
  24. I don't think the mistake was passing on Worthy. It was passing on Ladd McConkey or Cooper Dejean. Granted, I wasn't much for taking a DB with the first pick, but I thought he was an excellent prospect and would have been an good selection. As for McConkey, I don't necessarily buy that he's just a slot guy, but at the same time, I don't really care, either. The Bills were depleted enough at WR that they just needed guys that could play at a high level and clearly, he can.
  25. There's a lot of downside risk in that group, especially beyond 2025. Hollins played well, but he'll be 32 next year. Shakir will be a FA after 2025. Samuel will be 29 next year and they haven't really found a way to integrate him into this offense. Coleman is a big question mark. I think they need to add a quality prospect in this draft. Even if this group plays well in 2025, it could fall apart quickly afterward. And they still need a speed/separation guy.
