  1. I am with you 26.

What freakin adversity has Marone gone through this year???

Team missed a day of practice, moved a game to Detroit against the worst team in the league. (some suggest was a bonding experience)

That is it......the sum total of his adversity

    OTOH

Only one significant injury to an impact starter. One...One... ........ are you kidding me??? What good fortune is that? (maybe you could put Leo in there)

Huge, jacked up beyond normal, emotional crowds for two divisional home games. He loses one.

    No Toronto game this year.

    One West Coast Game

A defense that keeps his team in every single stinking game ( that he does not coach one iota)

This guy had everything break RIGHT for him this year...the exact opposite of adversity

you conveniently ignore a crappy offensive line for every game and piss poor QB play almost every game.

That's debatable. If you look at the numbers, I think that you'll find that the Dolphins have not gotten much better production than the Bills have from that position.

I'd take Tannehill in a second.
  2. Amazing how people can watch a game like that and this is the take away.

This was a 'take away' by a few people I spoke with early in the game. It's no sin to say this, it happens at 33, usually before. He can still contribute, but don't expect him to get faster with age.
  3. How so. Just saw the stats....0 Sacks, 0 Hurries and 0 Pressure..... Hughes and Mario have been completely invisible. The DTs haven't been able to stop the Broncos RUnning game, when it needed to convert 3rd downs and Anderson has 3 Rushing TDs.

if you can watch this game and pick out the defense as the problem, you are either blind or just have an agenda. Refs put us behind and Orton killed any chance of a comeback.
  4. It seems like Hogan took his job. Plain and simple. I wouldn't be looking for a Hasek/Nolan conspiracy angle. With the way Hogan has played who would you rather see in there? I'm sure the coaches know best, they know the locker room, they see the practices, they see who is working, and who isn't. I would think having depth at the WR position is a good thing, no?

Hogan is incredibly average and has lost 2 fumbles, and had quite a few drops in limited playing time. I don't understand the big attraction to him.
  5. If our front 4 can get to Manning, it will be a close game. This is likely the sackiest D he's ever faced and he's among the most sackable QB's in the league. As long as the refs leave us alone for once, it should be closer than expected. If the D can force some turnovers, like they always do, we may even win.

He's been sacked 13 times this year, that's not a lot.
  6. While he wouldn't be my first choice (Cowher), I wouldn't mind seeing Harbaugh come here. He kinda seems like a douche, but the guy can flat out coach football, and I think he'd bring an attitude to this team not seen in a long time. Plus, he's got to be intrigued seeing the kind of defense here he'd be inheriting....

Just curious, what attitude would he bring. His teams in SF are strong defense, weak offense. Similar to what we have here. I like the attitude of our team for the most part. Love our defenses attitude, special teams..., give us 2 strong guards and I bet we'd all love our attitude on offense too.

Teams don't need a screaming coach, some succeed , some don't. It seems to have a lot to do with talent on the roster.

  7. Im still waiting to see what Crossman does when he doesnt have top tier talent. getting very good play out of very good players is definitely nice, and not to be ignored - but after a decade of his poor coaching, im still not jumping on his bandwagon yet.

Is there any coach who's squad wouldn't suffer if the talent level goes down? How about judge a coach when given the proper tools to succeed. He's been given the tools and it's working.
  8. I guess I stand corrected. We would have risked losing Caleb Holley! (Question: who the hell is Caleb Holley?). Or Jeff Tuel. Or some wide receiver named Travis Harvey. Are we certain that Caleb Holley and Travis Harvey are actually 2 different players? My point: there's always fungible practice squad guys out there. They're like the utility infielder AAAA guys in baseball. You should never worry about finding them, and you should never let actual talent go to keep one of them. Or Lee Smith for that matter.

I would think practice squad players are there for a specific purpose and to think they are interchangeable is very naive. These are players that learn our system and are very close to being on the active roster. I don't think you want to be changing that roster too often.
  9. Kiko for a proven QB or two dominant offensive linemen? The polite answer is no team would give this up for one LB who has only played one year and coming off knee surgery...the non polite answer...really? someone will give us a QB or 2 dominant OL for Kiko?

Exactly what I was going to say. Yes, trade him for 2 dominant OL.... but it will never happen.

Spikes will not be here next year. So Kiko goes outside next year with Bradham and Brown. We address the other areas through the draft and Free agency.

  10. who isn't realizing that? The subject line says "Detroit radio not interested in being hospitable." The radio station is exhibiting lack of class toward the situation in their call to action. I don't know why your comments need to be turned on insulting Buffalo fans. Haven't they been through enough? Maybe you care about this, maybe you don't. Those who care have a right to care without being told that " in true Buffalo fashion" they take everything personally.

it is simply my opinion. Go Bucs.

if everyone realizes it, then I think everyone is overreacting, which was my point. And it is typical of Buffalo. Don't criticize the weather, but when the weather is bad, everyone should feel for them. Don't comment about the lousy weather, but we can't stop talking about it and expect national sympathy.
  11. If the game was moved because the city of that team was going through a terrible natural disaster where people were dying and/or the recently deceased former owner of that team had just left my struggling city a 9 figure charitable donation I think I might just let the carrying their DC off the field thing go. Seriously, either one would have been plenty for me to personally get over it.

Keep in mind this is a radio station promoting this. In true Buffalo fashion of taking everything so personally, people aren't realizing that this doesn't appear to be a wide spread action by residents of detroit. Just someone on a radio station saying something.
  12. I think the Ralph connection is stronger than that . Within the community of folks who are more concerned about the well being of the city. football community notwithstanding unfortunately

Some folks are just disrespectful is all. Oh well.

I think his point is Bills and us fans should be bigger than that crap

yes, that was my point. Thanks. Didn't think it was that complicated to figure out.

I think that is your point. Not His.

that was my point as well.
  13. What hasn't been mentioned is the complete lack of adjustments at the half. Other teams adjust to us, but we never seem to. That loses close games all the time.

but haven't we rallied for wins against Chicago, Minn, and Detroit? In the 2nd half? Winning close games?
