  1. Based on the draft talent I think that this is how it needs to happen as well. I’d sign Saffold and James (and maybe another). There aren’t FA WR so that’s not an option. You need to draft there.
  2. I’m okay either way but I don’t hate the idea of a young, creative, offensive mind to bring them into this millennium. There are things I like and things that I hate about McDermott. Give me Lincoln Riley while retaining Frazier and try to keep the defense going. It is criminal to have a young, talented QB that is surrounded by this talent with no QB coach.
  3. McDermott would be standing on a branch, risking his life, extending an arm to save Nate.
  4. I’m excited. Nate was great in preseason and WON the QB job. We DEFINITELY need to see more of him.
  5. Yeah, my thought is if they are pushing in this year it’s possible. They can take another one next year. Noteboom and a pick. Hughes is on a team-friendly deal for the production that he has. Pass rushing doesn’t come cheap.
  6. How about Joseph Noteboom and a pick?
  7. That’s my concern. He’s the guy that I thought we should have overpaid for this offseason. That FA WR market will be terrible.
  8. This is the best case scenario right now. This is what we should be hoping for. If we can hold the Giants hostage to come get their QB we can improve quite a bit. As a hypothetical, say that the Bills have the top pick and the Giants pick 3rd. The Bills auction of the pick for the one QB that looks like he is going early (Herbert). Maybe the Bills can get, the 3rd pick, Sterling Shepard, Evan Engram and a 2nd rounder? If the Bills could pull that off they’d turn their horrible year into: - Ed Oliver - Sterling Shepard - Evan Engram - 2 more top 35 picks
  9. They win that game if Allen doesn’t go out too. The only way that they lose is if Peterman gets picked twice in the last 2 minutes. Which he naturally did. To your point though, even if Tyrod is good for a couple to 3 more wins on the year it doesn’t matter. This team is going to win 4 or 5 games. Does winning 6 or 7 make it better? I’d argue that you are better off remaining a complete train wreck in hopes of massive changes. You could replace all 5 OL and your top 2 receivers (Zay to the slot). This is really just a terrible, terrible offense. It is by miles the least talented group in the NFL.
  10. Man I was really hoping that Peterman was going over Niagara Falls in that graphic yesterday.
  11. I wanted Peterman to go over the Falls so bad!!
  12. We are just so much more interesting than everyone else. It’s not like this for a Monday Night Game between the Ravens and the Bengals.
  13. Same thing happened after he left us and got stuck with that ***** QB in New England.
  14. This game should be incredible. The Saints have the Vikings today and the Rams next weekend. That should be the ultimate test.
  15. I suggested yesterday McCoy and a 4th for Clement and a 2nd. Who says no?
  16. That’s where I’d lean. There are some great pass rushers in this draft but he and Oliver (who is more like Donald) are the only 2 that I’d stay put for. If the Bills wind up with a top 2 or 3 pick and can get one of them I’d do it. Otherwise, I’d take the best offer to slide back. I’d still be tempted to go DL at 8 (or wherever they slide back to) because the value is so good. You could go other positions there though as well. I don’t think you can go anywhere but DL at the top of the draft.
  17. The answer is that a QB or pass rusher can change your franchise’s outlook. Look what Mahomes and Khalil Mack are doing. With that being said, it’s more about getting a ton of assets IMO. There isn’t a single NFL player that will be traded for 3 1sts but it’s been done for picks to get a QB. If you are really bad you can get good value in every round and get a boatload of picks.
  18. Just thinking out loud here but are other teams in on this too? We ONLY discuss the possibility of the Eagles. What if teams like Washington, Baltimore or Carolina were interested? That feels reasonable to me. What difference does his salary make if it isn’t impacting any decisions? There is ZERO chance that the few million in cap savings make any difference. The Bills are going to be CRAZY aggressive this offseason and will still be $30M plus from the 2019 salary cap. The money isn’t an issue!!
  19. The money is irrelevant. McCoy’s contract won’t stop the Bills from making a single move. They have more cap space than they will be able to spend over the next two years. The money ISN’T a factor in this decision. It’s about getting an asset that can help when this team is ready to compete.
  20. That’s kind of where I am. The only way that dealing McCoy makes sense is if proper value comes back.
