Names to watch for the Oct Trade deadline

...and on that note I’d argue Moss and Edelman we’re both legit 1’s although Edelman isn’t prototypical. -

As someone that firmly believes it’s our #1 need you need someone that can be open, and make plays, regardless of the matchup. The Bills have a bunch of skills that mesh. They don’t have someone that just wins because he’s better than the guy across from him. Additionally, a #1 bumps everyone else down a slot and creates easier matchups across the board. I don’t think that the Bills need another guy (like a Zay or even Brown) they need a guy that can take over games when needed. They need a guy that team’s scheme for and roll coverage too. If you put Julio Jones or Davante Adams or Michael Thomas (who we should have drafted) or OBJ or Nuke onto this team they are instantly a Super Bowl contender. -

It’s funny I was actually thinking this morning, “i wonder if the Giants would ever trade Evan Engram?” He is such a PERFECT fit for this Bills team. -
Feral hogs headed for US from Canada

They are a total nuisance in LA. I shot one and I don’t even hunt. -
That’s kind of my thought. If you are rebuilding you build around your best young players (Tunsil, Howard, Fitzpatrick, etc...). Apparently Miami has no interest in keeping their young talented players. Of course this makes no sense but they did get a haul for Tunsil. I guess that they will try again.

Sean McDermott won't tip hand on Bills' RB situation

Anyone paying attention knows that this is Singletary’s job. They might ease him into it but it’s very, very, very, very obvious that, from draft day, their plan was to hand him the keys. Gore will rotate in and probably even start but this isn’t going to be a 50/50 split. -

I liked Oliver and Singletary. -

It’s so obvious who watched the game and who read the box score. -
Antonio Brown RELEASED, signed by PATS

We are in agreement. It hasn’t been months but it’s been a little while. My buddy at the Steelers works for a guy that was at the Pats forever and he texted him, “if you don’t think that this has been going on for a little while you are an idiot.” -

I don’t suspect that it will go anywhere but that’s what I’ve heard from a few people. NO ONE is happy about this around the league. -

We are all in agreement that this was CLEARLY in the works for a while right? I haven’t read through the thread but we aren’t all naive enough to think that this Pats deal came together in 30 minutes right? FWIW, I have a good friend that works in the Falcons front office and they want it investigated. The Steelers are in the same boat. -

This is EXACTLY why people should never worry about the Bills “cap troubles.” There is no such thing as cap trouble in the NFL. Sometimes you have to get a little creative but every team can get every guy that they want. The Saints mastered this concept years ago... -

No doubt that he intended it to be hurtful. That’s ind of my original point though, it’s not hurtful. It would have cut much deeper if he said something like, “so that’s why your wife called me last night.” Not saying that’s happening, just that there are WAY better ways to hurt a white person than by calling them a cracker.
-
That would certainly be the case (although Riley Cooper got by) and it’s a double standard. The reality is the history and context that created that is so much more vile than the history and context of cracker. Racist/homophobic/anti-semetic slurs do not carry equal weight (or even close). The background defines their ugliness.
-
Am I alone in that I wouldn’t even be a little offended if someone called me a “cracker” or “honkey” or any other racist term for white people? You could say about 213,000 other things that my sensitive @$$ would be bothered more by.

Bodine traded to the Patriots for a 6th round pick
Kirby Jackson replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shocking!!! I was sure that Bodine was going to put on the magical Patriots jersey and automatically become Mike Webster.
