  1. So, who is going to win the NBA championship this year? Woudln't seeing Shaq win one mor be a "heartwarming" story?
  2. Well, its' because you keep hammering away the same pointless point, and it doesn't mean anything. Accuse me of being too stupid to understand what you are saying, but you aren't really saying anything. You are in a great position I guess. The only way you can define your beliefs (or the Tea Party beliefs) is to say that they can't be described, pinned down, or defined. Everyone can define what the Tea Party "is not". Isn't that convenient? That wears thin after a while. It didn't work for Republicans in 2008...the party of "just say no" became the party "no-way" to voters. You say that Democrats will regret not taking the Tea Party seriously. How can you, when you yourself are saying that there is nothing tangible to define the movement. It is logical, I would say, to assume then, the dissention coming from the Tea Party, indicates that those identifying with the movement are just pissed off, and unhappy with the current government. Fine, I think you will find many who feel that way on both sides of the political spectrum. But if you are going to rail against what is going on, shouldn't you offer a solution? It seems every time a self identified Tea Party candidate opens their mouth, they make their movement look sillier. It is easy, as we have seen for years, to criticize what is going on, but not as easy to come up with solutions. Everybody wants to cut spending...Republicans will cut spending on education before they will interfere with big business. See Pennsylvania right now. Yet, in nearly every poll,in every state, education is the one area that voters do not want to see cuts made. Here, in Texas, the tea party candidates crowed about their victories, but have have already been suffering the backlash for coming to the realization that, maybe, just cutting spending on everything isn't the answer.
  3. So, essentially, the tea party movement, according to you, is the equivialant of the "anyone but Bush" movement that you are so fond of...great! It worked in 2008, but is that what you really want?
  4. I am sure that somebody would have a problem with this...being that, now, over half the Republican party believes that the president, himself, is not a legal US citizen.
  5. Oh brother...this from the guy whose near every post is about some hypocrisy in how Obama and Bush are treated by liberals, and the media... The problem as I see it (and both sides are guilty of this) everybody wants change, unless it affects them. So, this is what we have...it isn't productive at all. I suspect DC Tom will come in and give enough nuance to your argument (if that is what it is), and then you will feel empowered...but right now, you are just flailing away, and not making any point...other than, you don't like Obama...point taken...back to your porn!
  6. No, it's not perplexing LA...it is as vauge as it could possibly be, which is what I expected. You are not saying anything, only criticizing what has been done...and for every "RomneyCare" that hurts your ears from the left, ever hear anyone use the term "ObamaCare" ad nausium? Ever hear the argument "he's in Rio"? For someone who has no stance, I am not sure what Obama has done to offend your sensibilities so much...seems to me he is constantly being criticized for his positions, by people who have no signle position (as you assert), so, as politicians do, he compromises and lets the idiots have what they want...only to be criticized for that...just two weeks ago, the right was coming out of the woodworks criticizing Obama for not making a move on Libya, when he does (a very good one IMO), they start tripping over themselves to criticize him for that...it would be comical, if it wasn't so pathetic. You can criticize liberals and the left for all of their partisan ways, but you are really mistaken if you think it is any different on the right...
  7. Yeah, you were so serious, and non-partisan, until Barry became prez. I miss the old days when you were just a boob obsessed yob. You will only be happy with someone in the White House as simple as you. We have an adult in the White House...what difference does it make if the president is in Rio, or Crawford, TX? There seems to be a trend of tea partiers getting the job, and realizing it isn't as simple to just cut everything as they thought it would be. It seems there is a trend of those who were so gung-ho for the tea party in 2010 elections are starting to have buyers remorse. Seriously, LA, as you are the person proudest to identify themselves as a tea partier, what candidate, or potential candidate best exemplifies your beliefs? I don't see how any currently identified tea party candidate could be taken seriously.
  8. Noticed A T D H E isn't carrying NHL or NBA games the last two weeks....signed up for Center Ice, but missing my Celtics...they are playing pretty bad as of late...but still...thanks for these links.
  9. You would think, by 2012, Repulicans will realize that hitching their fortunes to the Tea Party was a mistake...and they will be left with a field of candidates that will make Barry look pretty good. That is of course, after they figure out what their stance is...
  10. Maybe this will make you smile: http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-20110324-711408.html Hearing that Kucinich may try to push for Obama impeachment. He may be the "nut-job" element of the Democratic party, as Bachman and the likes are, to the Republican party.

  12. So, you really think, if the Barefoot Contessa were to grant one dying, six year old child, his wish to cook a meal with her, it might prompt a slew of copy-cat dying children to have the same, single, dying wish? Really? I would hazard to guess that most here who post on the wall don't even know who she is, let alone a pack of dying six year old children across the usa. We aren't talking about Justin Bieber or Lady Ga Ga here... Why do I get the feeling that if the celebrity in question was say, uh, I dunno, George Clooney, Sean Penn,Tom Hanks, Susan Sarandon or somebody along those lines (you know, someone like joethesixpacks "limousine liberals") the conservative wack-pack here, would be more than okay jumping all over them? Or how about Chad Ochocino, Willis McGahee, Jay Cutler or Mike Tyson? Funny, it got me thinking about a classic "Larry Sanders" episode about this very subject...Larry is freaked out by looking at a dying child in the eyes, so he grants a kids wish to come and spend the day on the set, but does everything he can to avoid the kid...
  13. My god, the hypocrisy!!! When did the Democrats start stooping this low?
  14. Touche! Typical, you chefs all stick togehter.
  15. I can almost gurantee, this lady will find the time after this story spreads...I find it hard to believe, of all 'celebrities' Ina Garten is in uber high demand...and I would bet my life, there is only one dying 6 year old making meeting her his ultimate wish...and if any kid, any person for that matter, made meeting me their ultimate wish, through the Make A Wish foundation, I would grant it, promise...Pooj, you think Ina is afraid if she grant one dying kids wish to spend an hour or two with her, other 6 year olds will jump on the gravey train? DC Tom, making another silly argument, just for the sake of arguing...
  16. You know, that was my first thought too...but unless she had some contagious disease, I can't really fathom any (good) reason she wouldn't grant this kids' wish...which is where the PR person will come in!
  17. Wow! http://www.popeater.com/2011/03/25/barefoot-contessa-refuses-sick-kid/
  18. I agree with you on that point...wish Democrats would have done the same with the president. He hasn't done the things we had elected him to do, and has barely faught for any of the issues he ran on. He has, instead, gone head to head with his Repulican opposition, and surrendered at every opportunity...Democrats are disappointed, because he is, basically, straddling the middle of the road to appease Republicans, and Republicans will never be happy with him, because he isn't a Republican...it's a lose-lose situation all the way around!
