3-1 over the next four games
Prickly Pete replied to Sammy Watkins' Rib's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
5-11... it's all over. This team won't win another game because the secret is out, just run the ball and the Bills can't stop you. This coming draft they are going to have to find a couple true "12-Technique" D-linemen. -

The Cleveland O-line sucks. Chubb got his yards against the Pats when they were deep in the hole, but still running the ball. The Philly O-line is good, so they matched up well against the Bills weakness. We shall see what Vegas thinks prior to the game. They have a much better handle on teams capabilities and the team to team variables (even when the games doesn't end up matching the odds). I think the Bills are much better than the Browns, and they are just going through some bumps on the road to an 11-5/10-6 season. -

No, I don't think that, but I do have some other thoughts related to your post. -

Well, rest easy. Big C says they're "beatable". Maybe with hopes and prayers, the Bills can pull off a miracle. -

hahaha! Sure, just post any nonsense you can think of. How about this "The Bills would have won the Super Bowl last year, if they had started Allen at the beginning of the season." -

Yeah, EVERY week the Bills have to stop running backs. Suddenly everyone thinks the Bills are a crap team, and that any team can run through them. Of course the Bills could lose, any team can lose, that's why they play the games. Why is it that the Browns "have been shooting themselves in the foot" for 5 games, but the Bills are complete *****, and won 5 of 7 games by playing better than who they really are? In my opinion, the Bills have been "shooting themselves in the foot" plenty but still managed to win 5 games. It's also my opinion that the Bills are a very good team, but not at the level where they can string together 4 or 5 wins without a loss....not many teams are. -

I can't stand Hillary, but I heard that tape, and she was cynically laughing about the accuracy of Lie Detector tests. I think this was presented in a misleading way. Again, I loathe her. -

I've already seen the defense playing great. I have yet to see the offense explode. I want offense. A better pass rush would be nice, but not essential, to me. Know what boosts sacks? Playing with a lead. -

I agree. it feels like people think the whole team sucks suddenly. That teams are going to run the ball up and down the field against them,. and that the offense will never score more than 14 points. I like this team, I just think the offense could really use a guy at a skill position that is a notch better than what they have now. -

The defense is good enough. One above average Wr or RB on the offense could transform the whole package. -

I think people are overrating Gore. He has had some timely runs, but they don't ask him to carry the offense. A back that can take over a game is a great asset that gives a team many more options when the opposition can shut down your QB. The Bills don't have that option right now. -

Oh, what nonsense. There have been plenty of opportunities to throw deep, and hitting some deep balls pulls defenders off the line. Allen is elusive enough to buy time for deep throws, too. Hitting them is of course, a whole different thing. -
Josh Allen - week EIGHT report card
Prickly Pete replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, they need a guy that really draws attention from defenses. Sure, someone will say "The Patriots don't...", but they have Brady and Belichick, two of the all time greats (if not the greatest) at their positions. It's much more reasonable approach to find some elite talent. They are still another good draft away. But that doesn't mean they can't make the playoffs, maybe get some big game experience, and keep developing in the meantime. -

I doubt they really "worry" about Brown or Beasley, but are just aware that those are the best guys. There isn't a single player that strikes fear in any of the defenses. No one that is a match up nightmare, no game planning around shutting one of these guys down (aside from the QB). Allen taking off and running is the only thing out of the ordinary. They have been doing well enough to win with just a good scheme, and Allen making some plays. They aren't real contenders yet...Is that a surprise to anyone here? -

To me, these games are just stages in the team's and Allen's development. Other teams come up with effective challenges, and the Bills or Allen have to learn to adapt. Allen (and the team) have been progressing just fine to me, this is just a tough "learning period". They are 5-2.
