  1. http://www.wben.com/newsroom/sportsreport.php?newsid=0668 Sometimes when you are stripped of the duties you previously held and "promoted" into a new position, you don't have a choice but to leave.
  2. The trainer/strength and conditioning coach has always been a behind the scenes kind of guy who you don't normally hear much about. Obviously because of his length of tenure here in Buffalo, it had become known what a great and respected job Rusty Jones had been doing with the Bills. I believe that when Brad Roll was brought on board last year by Mularkey, that the handwriting was on the wall for Jones. It is one of those good 'ole boy hirings where MM must feel that my guy can do the job just as well as the old guy. Only time will tell...
  3. I think you are getting a little carried away in saying we shouldn't sign Roscoe unless he dumps Rosenhaus. Camp doesn't start for two more days and Parrish is unsigned like a boatload of other drafted players. Hopefully he gets in camp by the end of the weekend.
  4. Was just there last week on vacation. If you are driving, DON'T plan on arriving during rush hour and once you get to your destination, park your car and leave it there. If you are flying in, don't rent a car. Driving is crazy downtown and parking is EXPENSIVE. Take a shuttle from the airport and then walk or take a cab wherever you go.. Besides that, great city!
  5. Why do some people that smoke, throw their butts out the car window instead of using the ashtray? It's not like the car doesn't already reek of smoke, so what's the big deal with using the ashtray.
  6. I saw this on a SD Charger message board.... Ryan Denney, Josh Reed and the Bills 7th round pick in 2006-2050 for Tomlinson. Anybody hear anything about this. Seems like a great deal for the Bills.
  7. When you get out of the first round, there is only so much wiggle room for contract negotation. Contract length, what is bonus versus base contract $$$, incentives, etc... He'll sign the same contract now or in two weeks. There won't be that much different in the contract other than him missing two weeks of camp and falling behind to the point where he won't be a factor on opening day.
  8. Everything you need to know about the game in NO including who to contact for possible tickets... http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showforum=44
  9. In the teaser, it reads "see why Gary Horton thinks JP Losman is a huge question mark". Exactly where does it say that "JP will suck"?
  10. I think it is highly unlikely that in three consecutive years a team could go 9-7, 10-6 and 10-6, yet miss the playoffs all 3 years. That being said, if this highly unlikely scenario happened, I would not be calling for TD's head on a platter.
  11. I'll never choose to watch something else, when an NFL game is on, because of the announcers. The season is too short and I love football. Instead, I treat the announcers like they are white noise and not pay any attention to something stupid they may say.
  12. I'm not sure why using a simplistic measure of success as in how many playoffs appearances a team makes over a six year period is such a bad thing. I think it is pretty indicative of the job that the man leading your football organization is doing. Yes, injuries can be a major factor and when I say that the Bills should make the playoffs in '06, I'm assuming the team will not be decimated by injury. I lived through the Stew Barber and Harvey Johnson eras. What's your point? As long as the Bills aren't going 3-13 every year, that TD is doing a good job and all fans should be pleased? PS If you want to use "continual improvement" as a gauge for success, I would expect that after 6 years that this "continual improvement" would land the Bills in the playoffs.
  13. I agree with an earlier poster in this thread who said that making the playoffs in '06 is a must. TD and crew may get a pass this year because of the lack of experience with Losman, but the Bills should make the playoffs in '06 with all the talent they supposedly have on paper. If TD ends up going 6 years without a playoff appearance, I would think RW would have to seriously consider going in another direction. Referencing threads from the last couple of months, I don't think you'll see many people who will still say they wouldn't trade our entire organization for another teams if the Bills end up not making the playoffs in either '05 or '06.
  14. Al Michaels and Phil Simms or Troy Aikman. No sideline reporter!!!!!
  15. If you are coming into town this fall, you might want to make a sidetrip to see this... http://www.buffalobills.com/news/news.jsp?news_id=3274
  16. The good news is that during the renovation a few years back, they installed restrooms at the top of the upper deck, so you are actually pretty damn close for those bathroom breaks.
  17. He will be doing Sunday night football on ESPN. All of the changes being talked about don't happen until 2006......I think.
  18. 2,501 words & 13,078 characters including spaces. This has to be in the top 10 FFS posts in terms of length. PS How often do you have to replace your keyboard.
  19. Yeah you're right...it's not like 1A schools EVER make exceptions for the "highly catered to" student athletes. This is just UB trying to stick it to a kid who wanted out.
  20. The lighthouse is on the other side of the Buffalo River opposite the Marina. I am not sure if it is open to the public as it sits within the boundaries of the Coast Guard station.
  21. The only explanation for ESPN putting Theisman on MNF....he has pictures of the ESPN president in a comprimising position with a bunch of farm animals. Like was said earlier, only Stuart Scott would have been a worst choice.
  22. Bob Dicesare is right on the money with this column about former UB football player Mike Radon who is being charged for classes during the semester AFTER giving back his scholarship. I guess UB is too busy to foresee the bad publicity they would get if this story hit the newspaper. What a bush league move. http://buffalonews.com/editorial/20050726/1016989.asp
  23. See for yourself.... http://buffalobills.com/photos/101b.jpg
  24. This is clearly a case of "IT'S ALL ABOUT US!!!!!". No thought is being given to the hardship this may place on the guests/bridal party. The bride and groom to-be, are simply trying to out do everyone else by having their wedding in an exotic locale. I'm sure they will lay the guilt on big time when you or anyone else tells them they cannot afford the trip.
