  1. I think a guy like Hyde is really up in the air dependent on how this season shakes out. If the Bills win the big one; he likely rides out into the sunset hangin them up. If they fall short, I could see him come back to Buffalo on a one year deal, taking a very friendly cheap deal. He may not even be a starter anymore in the future, especially considering his lingering injuries that never seem to go away. Poyer has been frustrating at times, taken bad angles, missed tackles but also has made his fair share of plays. As much as I think they could get younger and faster here, I wonder (as some has suggested) they almost stagger the departure of the safeties to keep one on to try and bring up the next generation with some on the job training. Poyer/Rookie with Hyde mixing in at times in 2024. Rookie/FA in 2025 I’m not a fan of Rapp
  2. We’re going to make wings at home for The first time in years. Anyone have a good butcher or shop recommendation for wings in the buffalo area? North towns preferably. We’ve used Wegman’s and Dash’s before.
  3. https://www.chiefs.com/news/divisional-playoff-injury-report-chiefs-vs-bills Nose Tackle Derrick Nnadi ruled out, as well as the recently activated from IR Skyy Moore. Questionable designations to a pair of WRs in Toney and Ross. A relatively clean sheet for these guys, but losing their starting caliber DL must burn. Edit: Back up tackle Wanya Morris also ruled out with a concussion it appears he sustained in practice? Full participant earlier this week, then limited, to DNP and ruled out. I left this off initially as he is not in the starting 5. On second thought, I came back to add him after recognizing it was Morris who faced the Bills (many say admirably) when Donovan Smith could not play. Likely a non factor but in the event of an in game injury, they’d be down to their next option.
  4. Buy - Kincaid Sell - Klien/Willians combination Hold - Bass and the kicking game
  5. I like this idea as well as we’ve seen it on longer downs and distances, but I do not think this is in the cards this weekend. I’m guessing a ton of two high looks. Estimating cover 2, 4 or 2 man. One of the knocks on him was his ability to make clean drops in zone coverage, recognizing route schemes, IIRC. It’s a shame we shouldn’t be pressuring the QB this week, because if we were; this seems like the guy to do it. QB spy on 3 man rushes? It’s started to make a ton of sense as to why they wanted him playing WLB behind Milano. They seem to share similar characteristics in terms of athletic ability and physicality. Now we know Bernard is a dog, and can run the show and diagnose, Williams seems to be the guy to allow to roam free and just play in space cleaning things up.
  6. Torrence has had a good rookie year overall. Definitely struggled as of late IMO, especially in pass pro. He’s faced some beasts this year (Chris Jones, Q Williams, C Wilkins, F Cox, J Davis, etc). Lots to like about his game. He’s been okay down the stretch. PFF aside, he has struggled at times lately. My biggest concern with the OLis their ability to recognize and quickly pick up the exotic pressures/blitz spags will bring. Torrence/Brown really struggled early on in the season picking up twists but they have seen to be better lately. I think Torrence is fine. As I mentioned above, he’s had his struggles at times. Personally I still think this is the best line Josh Allen has ever had. The issue with offensive line play is that they must work in concert. One player can completely blow an entire play from a missed assignment. You can have really good players, and if they mess up on 1 play, that’s 5 plays across the line that are dangerous to Allen. It’s more about when/how those missed assignments happen that makes it so impactful or meaningless. To some degree I think that’s why we see Brady bringing in extra bodies into the box. On certain downs/distances/plays he values protection more than extra route runners. They want to get it right up front, so they can take their shot. Delegating more bodies this week to pass pro is not the answer IMO. I’d rather see more spread vs this team and use alignment and formation to help weed out pressure looks or blitzers. Spreading the field horizontally using formation and play selection really can control how a defense can try and confuse you up front. That being said, when they do bring the exotic looks and extra rushers, I’d rather not have the extra guy in. I want them in a hot route, giving Allen a quick access to get the ball out. Its such a chess game and fun to think about, but at the end of the day, we can only guess what or how the defense will try to create havoc for our offense and how we might try to counter it. All in all, Brady loves his condensed formations, tight bunches and variable personnel groupings. I don’t anticipate it, but I would be very curious to see what a no huddle with 12 personnel (Diggs/Shakir/Kincaid/Knox/Cook).
  7. one of the other aspects I’m weighing is that I’ll be needing hundreds of feet of extension cord. How do you guys generally hook up? Extension cord directly into the outlet or do you run one to a power strip and monitor your watts that you put into it?
  8. I will add in my experience that skill and semi-skill players were graded off of 4 points per play. In addition to your three, alignment was also a scored factor.
  9. Is the 90 traffic really that bad?! I generally can get to Rochester from my house in the greater buffalo area in 58 minutes. Seems crazy needing to go almost an hour North/South just to get East/West
  10. Lockport to OP via transit would be a 40 minute haul alone.
  11. The NFL pays PFF for raw data. There has to be some merit to what they do. It is one evaluation system, a piece, not the gospel.
  12. I think this idea is not suited for our personnel. Bringing in 5 down lineman will help against the run but significantly impact our abilities in coverage
  13. Cooking shows that are tutorials on a recipe with pre-measured fresh ingredients, no dishes, prepped and ready with instant results that taste delicious!
  14. Longest week ever. What time is practice? Maybe I’ll go find my cleats see if they need any scout team help as a tackling dummy.
  15. If they don’t have the room, what’s the point? We can simply activate him from PS as needed. He gets paid in full. We keep a roster spot open. As you said, unless you have an available roster spot, it’s win win.
  16. This 💯 Seems like our latest efforts to try and limit this has been that bubble screen and quick access throw. A lot of it will rely on the skill players to be able to recognize these pressures and adjust accordingly. My game plan would be to go no huddle. I think limiting our own substitutions and keeping them on the field, getting in formation at the LOS early will force them to show their hand and make communication difficult for their defense. Hopefully it’ll limit some of their ability to try and bring exotic and confusing looks. I wouldn’t want a hurry up, but I would want to be purposeful in using the entirety of the play clock to try and find our best match up while dictating their ability to substitute and get in ideal looks.
  17. This is generally a look you’d use to stop the run and keep you Lbs clean. I don’t see how? We don’t really do this. We’re more likely to get that double A dog look with both backers. Putting the 6 on the LOS generally allows for simulated looks or pressures. A 5 man front is not ideal vs this team IMO. We really are going to want to try and stop the run with our front 6 (traditional 4-2). Putting any more resources into that with alignment really hurts our ability to play zone.
  18. Feel bad for Martin too. He has really been hitting them well lately too.
  19. My assumption that this “signing” was to the practice squad in replacement of Fournette. He’ll be one of the elevations this week, likely along with Klein.
  20. Didn’t specify in the notification via espn but I’m guessing it’s practice squad in replacement of Fournette
  21. Haack signs with Bills per Schefter
