I still like us to win the Super Bowl this year…
Billznut replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh wants the highlight plays and the stats. It seems to mean a lot to him. I know he also wants to win. But winning needs to be the first, foremost and ONLY thing that should matter to Allen going forward. Stats and highlight reel plays mean nothing without the W. -
We will never win anything with McD here

Pegula loves him. I’ve mentioned it in other topic threads. I think it’ll will take two years of double digit loss seasons to have Pegula seriously consider removing McD. -
Bills got gashed for 172 yards on 28 carries I believe. They had some good stops, but also gave up a lot of big runs. I’m actually amazed the Jets didn’t run way more often. Had they, we probably wouldn’t have even made it to OT.

Agreed. Unfortunately, I don’t see McD making an OC change in season. We are stuck with Dorsey for 2023. But unless we somehow have a top 5 offense or at least advance to the AFCCG, I think Dorsey is the number one most likely target to be replaced for next season. Bills need to pick someone to rework the offense and they do NOT need Allen’s blessing on their next OC hire. -
Beane’s failures on full display

Oh I think it’s both. -
Yep. I’m thoroughly done trying to stop the turnover narrative by so many nfl fans on social media. I tried sticking up for Allen hundreds of times on social media. I still love him and he’s my QB. But my days of trying to end the turnover prone narrative of people is done.

I’m actually amazing myself. Usually after losses I turn everything off. No idea why I didn’t tonight.

Josh Allen since the KC win last season….22 TD’s and 16 INT’s.

He’s trying to live up to the hype of being a “top 3 qb” in the NFL instead of focusing on wins. I know that sounds simple, but I honestly think that is what’s going on. The media hype and love went to his head and he tries to do way too much every play. He wants to play like Superman instead of say a Kirk Cousins type player. Obviously Allen is a better athlete than Cousins but he needs to stop thinking he can overpower everyone with his body and start just trying to beat people with his brain instead. Just get the wins, stop worrying about the stats. Can he do that? I guess we get to find out over the next 7-10 years. So far it’s not looking promising. -
It’s 99% Rodgers injured, 1% Allen sucked so far. And I’ve been watching ESPN and NFL network nonstop since the game ended.
-
I agree with that much. Thankfully the national media will focus much more on the Rodgers injured narrative than the Josh Allen is a turnover machine narrative. At least for this week.

I firmly believe Allen sees Dorsey as a peer than more of a boss or superior. Allen hand picked Dorsey to succeed Daboll. It wouldn’t have happened unless Josh agreed to it. I think the single best thing the Bills could do is replace Dorsey with a seasoned veteran OC with a winning and proven resume that would hopefully instantly wake up Allen and give him someone he respects, believes, listens to. Allen needs a superior as OC, not a peer.- 102 replies

It’ll never happen I never said Terry couldn’t fire him. I said he won’t do it.
-
You do know Pegula just gave Beane and McD new extensions a few months ago right? Pegula is NOT firing these guys in 2023. And very likely not in 2024 either. It’ll will take two straight seasons of double digit losses for Pegula to ever give this serious thought.
-
Cook remind me a lot of Spiller, with less talent.
-
This team could go 0-17 this year and I think it would be 50/50 at best that Pegula fired McBeane.

2023 NFL Season - Week #1 - Bills at Jets - Post game game thread
Billznut replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I believe all the fame and fortune has gone to Allen’s head. I think he feels the pressure to play like one of the top 3 qbs in the league each week and have all the fancy stats and highlights instead of just concerning himself with wins and losses. He needs to go back to who he was a few years ago when he was hungry and humble, before he took the league by fire. He puts too much pressure on himself instead of just winning. Now I agree he doesn’t trust his OL and that’s not all his fault, but he needs to take a step back and just get the “W”. F the stats, the top 100 rankings and the mvp voting. -

Pegula just gave them all extensions. The only way changes will ever be made is if the Bills go 7-10 or worse this season AND next season. It will take TWO seasons of losing records before Pegula will even consider dismissing McD and/or Beane. I’d bet my life on that. -

Josh runs this franchise. NO ONE is going to tell him no about anything. Look who the OC is. That’s Josh’s decision. Look who the backup qbs are. That’s Josh’s decision. Everybody knows, including McD and Beane, Josh Allen will be here longer than them. And yes rhia is now a huge problem because there is no one who can control Josh. Yes plenty of other franchise qbs have had this type of control of a team, but almost any of those other qbs, have won super bowls and have earned their say. -

Officials with a missed call. Not why we lost. We lost because this team has no soul. The Jets were literally dead at halftime and wanted this game more than Buffalo did. That is inexcusable from the top down. Coaching, QB, everyone. They were disinterested, outcoached and outplayed tonight. Plain and simple. I hope they are embarrassed as they should be. -
What a joke. Lol.
-
Bills have been outplayed since halftime. Offense and play calling has been god awful all night. Nothing changed.
-
No change in the offense so far

2023 NFL Season - Week #1 - Bills at Jets - 2nd half game thread
Billznut replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
This game is just a continuation of last years Bengals game. Bills have look disinterested for whatever reason. The Jets were as dead as a team could be. And the Bills just handed them the game in the second half. Totally unforgivable
