  1. I remember using twitter more than I ever had before, constantly looking at TBD, and watching ESPN/NFL network. I would text my brothers and brother in law every update. On my way to class Thursday I got the call from big bro that it was a done deal. From the moment FA began and Mario flew to Buffalo followed by Meachem, it was a wild ride and well worth every moment. I live across the country from my family and sports bring us together, for better or worse, but the Mario chase made us feel like kids at christmas again. We begged our parents (the Bills) for the shiniest toy available (Mario) and when it was delivered you couldn't tell if we were 25-40 or 5 years old.
  2. As a fantasy football player who views RBs as gold I see a lot of value in Ridley FWIW. I watch a ton of football since I usually have about 9 teams for fantasy and I think he is the real deal.
  3. This is a great point, if Leodis is retained then B. Smith should not. There are only so many specialists a team can have and at least Leodis has proven to be an elite return man.
  4. Your comment brought me great joy as I reminisced about my mother telling me about an illiterate Bills player when I was home last time, I snap called that it was Leodis. I was right.
  5. In Shermans defense he did graduate from Stanford and achieved All Pro status in his second season. Those words speak pretty loud.
  6. When the Vick story first broke I would never have imagined him being allowed to own another dog but I glad that he has served his time, paid his dues and realizing how terrific dogs can be.
  7. He is 28, has missed 5 games in his career, and please fill me in on his off the field issues.
  8. Give up top 10 pick for a WR that will demand a huge contract, smart.
  9. If he holds out and demands fair market value he is selfish, if he takes less money to help the team he is a system QB afraid to be exposed.
  10. Moving towards your target in a confined battle space is always more desirable. If you allow your enemy to set up their positions while you attempt to set up a defense is a bad choice.
  11. If they put Levi in we would have won state, kid threw a ball over a mountain once!
  12. I didn't understand it either but somehow I just lost an hour of my life watching these.
  13. Can't wait for the anti-Te'o crew to spin this guys warts.
  14. I have no problem with females closer to the front lines if they can handle it physically. I have no problem with gays either. My theory is that if you can shoot straight and pass the same physical tests then I will be happy to serve alongside you. I am sure your niece is a squared away soldier and I am proud to call her my sister in arms but there are certain physical characteristics that she lacks. I wish her the best on her deployment and if want to PM me her units address I will be glad to pass it along to the groups that sent me car packages while I was overseas. Thanks for being better at words than I am.
  15. I am not against the change as long as it does endanger my fellow service members. Could your niece pull a 205 lb man + his 100 lb of gear out of harms way? This is the simplest test to determine if women should serve alongside men in combat. Is she capable of carrying a crew served weapon or its components if the gunner or a-gunner are incapacitated? These tests are given when an infantrymen goes through schooling, not because some higher up says it is okay to appease someone. You should be proud that your niece has chosen to serve her country but should equal rights come at the cost of battlefield effectiveness.
  16. She is greatly exaggerating her role in breaking down the women in combat barrier. She will not be performing a normal male infantry role. She could not perform a normal male infantry role. I am not trying to say that her role in the ongoing conflicts is not important, I am proud to serve alongside your niece, and I hope her travels are safe.
  17. This is pretty weird since not one female has gone through either Army or Marine infantry training since the changes were recently enacted. Plenty of women have seen combat since Iraq/Afghan began. Pretty misleading post. Good luck to your niece.
  18. When you reach Clowneys level you are playing for more than "love of the game" or your teammates. You are playing to maximize your earnings. This is isn't the good old days where star players sold used cars or hauled lumber in the offseason. This is the age of billion dollar TV deals. Clowney has watched his teammate Lattimore lose millions due to injury, why should he do the same? If he sits, signs with an agent who sets him up with a rigorous workout program ie working against former NFL players, he still gets drafted in the top 5, and significantly reduces his chance for injury. I am in favor of the NFLs 3 year rule for 99.9% of players but some are ready and it is not fair to expect them to expose themselves to injury when they do not need to.
  19. I shouldn't have used the word idiot and the Bills have had a pretty decent run of RB's aside from the all time greats, just don't think Harmon is the worst and Early had two solid seasons with the Bills.
  20. If the difference is 1-2 million a year then why not resign him? The Bills need to stop allowing productive players to leave and then repeating the same drafts over and over again.
  21. I watched it some more today and I will I admit I was wrong.
  22. What universe is this in? It sounds a lot better than the one I am in.
