Civil Rights movement gained steam in the 50s/60s, Gay Rights in the 90s/00s. I'll be on all night to hold your hand through this, I know you are being a smartass but I will play along.
I think racism is less accepted because the Civil Rights movement was 60 years ago and almost all Americans believe in equal rights based on race. Gay rights are still gaining momentum and there is still a large number of Americans who do not believe in equal rights for same sex relationships. Hopefully someday they will be equally looked down upon.
After seeing JM play last year I had high hopes that he would continue to grow as a player. This offseason has been a disaster, his family and real friends need to get him under control before he implodes. At his age I don't know how I would have reacted to being famous but I can't say for certain that I would have handled it any better.
I don't understand the obsession with sacks, MW has never been a 20 sack/season guy. If he is able to get to 10-15 every year of his contract while also playing elite run defense then I personally will consider the contract money well spent.
I am 31 and getting ready to begin the process of having children. I wish I had started earlier with my lady but I knocked up my gf at 19, had an abortion and swore to never impregnate someone until I was sure I could take care of them.
I am pro-Mario so take that into account but I don't see why he would want to come into camp injured without notifying the team beforehand. I think he is conscious of his role on this team and knows how it looks to show injured.
Athletes use their bodies in ways that regular people will never understand. If MW begins to overcompensate for his foot injury he may end up injuring his knees, back or something else. Better to take care of the initial injury than let it continue.
Your opinion of fantasy players is so far off it is laughable. I am in leagues up to $250 per team and not once have I seen a man root against his favorite NFL team in place of his fantasy team unless it was fantasy playoffs and his NFL team was out of the playoff race. Excellent generalization but from your post you seem a bit dim.
Ryan has been to the playoffs 4/5 years and winning records 5/5 years. Ryan is a big part of that success, the Bills would be so lucky to have a QB worthy of this kind of contract.
I agree that FS won't make or break the team, Byrd is better than anyone on the roster but he is not worth $9 million a season. I think that 5 years $38 million with $20 guaranteed is fair.
I think the level of defense played in the SEC is so far above the defenses that the two QBs Fluffhead listed that the comparison is not a good one. I am waiting to see how JM plays this year before judging him but last year, IMO, he was great.
That is a good argument for Lance being a lesser dbag, Lance was a lot more adamant and fooled the public longer but he did raise awareness and money for a good cause.
Lance lied for over a decade and was considered #1 in his field, oh and he was the engine behind a gigantic charity. Braun is a dirtball but no where near LAs level.
