As one of the wall's biggest beer snobs I'll have you know that I actually had a PBR the other night. I found myself stuck in a bar with basically no good beer available, the PBR's were $1.75 each so I figured what the hell. I'll tell you what though, PBR ain't too shabby of a beer for an american lager. It certainly kicks the crap out of the other macros.

The only complaints were that the blue of the classic jerseys doesn't match the new pants, and the dark sleeves on the white jerseys might cause a giveaway or two.
"The whole arm is blue," defenseman Teppo Numminen said. "Then you get mixed up. You see a guy off to the side and see a dark arm, you don't really know if it's your teammate."
Gee, do you think a comment like this might have been useful during the design process? What a total cluster!@#$ this whole thing has been.

My god that white jersey is so much more awful than I could have ever anticipated. Brutal.

If the bitching continues into the season I will have a problem with it. I see no problem bitching about up until they hit the ice though, it really is that bad of a logo. LQ should get grilled tomorrow, an explanation is needed as to why they chose the slug option when you know something at least partially based on the original had to have been on the table at some point.

I actually like the colors and the number placement, but as expected the slug ruins it.

The banana slug has been painted on center ice.
I'm not 100% sure that's a real picture, but it looks like crap if it is. The slug is ramming his head into the word SABRES. Ugh.

Why? It's quite simple: Bledsoe's penchant for holding the ball too long and his utter lack of mobility allowed Jacksonville to follow its plan on defense.
"Get in his face," Jaguars defensive tackle John Henderson said. "That's what the coaches were preaching to us all week. Get in his face, get pressure on him and he'll make mistakes."
It's amazing that NFL defensive coordinators have finally managed to figure out Bledsoe.

Why not bring back the original Blue and Gold? Seriously, these guys had a chance to bring back the most classic looking uniform (imo) in Buffalo sports history. Why settle for this uniform? Am I in the minority here if I say I would rather keep the current uniforms than switch to this? I mean they aren't completely terrible but in my eyes they aren't as nice as the black and red. I'm not going to say I hate them until I actually see the players sporting them. For now just ---> Blah.
I never thought it could be possible because I despised the goathead, but these unis could end up being worse. Based on logo alone goathead > slug, but that's just by asking myself which one sucks less. I'll wait until I see the full slug uni before making a decison but I'm not very hopeful.

Drew's achilles was his complete lack of pocket awareness. That flaw in his game killed us too many times to count. Like I said earlier, JP's play today in the area of pocket awareness was anti-Bledsonian.

Well I can't believe someone is bringing f-ing Drew Bledsoe up at this point but since you did...
JP showed more poise and made better decisions in the pocket today than DB ever did for us.

Agreed. Overall this team exceeded my expectations and came out and played pretty well.
I really hope the Bills demand and explanantion from the league about the whistle on the INT return though. Yes it was a legit penalty on the play and it wouldn't have been a TD, but it wasn't even close to being OB. That play more than any other really makes you wonder.

Absolutely the Pats beat us on both sides of the ball in the trenches. That still doesn't excuse horrid officiating though.

The most brutal Patriots reach around of the day by Simms was when Brady obviously made a bad throw by bouncing it in 5 yards short and Simms found a way to praise Brady for making a great throw.

As much as I despise Caniacs, I have to admit that this game was indeed sold out long ago. They will be out in full force for this game, however I'd expect sparser crowds in the coming weeks. No matter what you hear, the Canes will never be bigger than NASCAR, college football or college b-ball in these parts. I had tickets to the game tomorrow night but had to give them up since I was in a pretty bad car accident a few weeks ago and I'm still recovering. I'll be there the next time the Sabres come to town though.
