  1. Remember someone drew this up 3 years ago. A Lucas Oil like stadium overlooking the falls https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/aFauB8KNc_k8rGiuOHLTig?feat=directlink
  2. I'm only focused on the AFCE. I'd rank Patriots, Dolphins, Jets, & Bills. I base this on QB play & coaching.
  3. Thank you for taking the lead role on the movie Draft Day.
  4. Ok, I'll concede Brady helping lower the QB sack total. But look at Indy only 315 sacks allowed since 2000. Peyton Manning obviously helped that total, no? Taking QB outs of the equation, did you really think New England would be #1 in rush TDs since 2000? I didn't expect that, and likelihood is neither did you.
  5. Build the line just like New England has done since Bill Belichick took over. I have always equated rushing touchdowns & sacks allowed as a true measure of the quality of an offensive line. Since 2000.... New England leads the NFL in rush touchdowns with 231, we only have 155 ranked #27. Since 2000 we have allowed the #3 most sacks 583, New England is #25 at 449.
  6. Merely conjecture at this point. What we know at this point is the team is held in a trust, how or who gets a certain percentage of the sale of the franchise remains to be seen. I was simply stating Mary is not the majority owner, but could become a minority owner depending on how the estate is written.
  7. Mary Wilson obviously is entitled to percentage of the franchise via the trust. Assuming Ralph's 2 surviving daughters and Mary Wilson are to split the estate in 1/3s and given the owner's equity rule for the Rooney family in Pittsburgh it's conceivable Mary Wilson could be a minority owner of the franchise, while the other 2/3 of the team is sold. Mary Wilson's equity ownership of the franchise would also be subject to zero estate taxes.
  8. I believe she's born in 1946, putting her at 68 this year. If she were to live as long as Ralph, that would make her owner till 2041, another 28 seasons.
  9. Much appreciated Ice. You are the epitome of class.
  10. $800,000,000 / 542,624 Facebook fans = $1,474 per person. Crowdsource the funding of the new stadium. I dig it. The money could be held in escrow, and used to mint a bond equivalent digital currency aka Bills Coin, that the team could issue that would be redeemable fractionally over a 25 year period. Assume the Bills would pay back the currency at 2.5% interest over 25 years. Bills Coin would be redeemable at BuffaloBills.com, or at the stadium box office, to buy everything from tickets, to jerseys, or concessions.
  11. Here's my take, the X-factor outside of new ownership is the City of Buffalo, and the University of Buffalo. Is it time to build a stadium in conjunction with the University & the Buffalo Bills? Getting UB into the AAC could vastly improve their program. In addition the stadium group is looking into the "logistics" and long-term viability. This has to include the regionalization of the franchise. Is OP the best place to get people in from Ontario & Rochester? Furthermore, is an indoor stadium with access to newly built major hotels and possible indoor field capable of hosting the Super Bowl & major college football bowl games, and possible final four, something the region could invest in?
  12. And with their new stadium it's safe to assume the NJG & NJJs will be NJ teams for the foreseeable future 20-30 years.
  13. Famous last words; "Buffalo....You're Fired!" Nice, however unlikely. I read somewhere Zuckerberg's liquid cash wealth to be in the hundreds of millions. In other words he would need to liquidate some FB stock to buy a team.
  14. Even I was fooled.
  15. We'd need a 40 something, would like to see Dean Cain get the opportunity.
  16. Posted this elsewhere, Mack & Clowney don't fit the size that Marrone covets. Clowney has the height but he is nearly 40 lbs lighter than Mario Williams. If we are trading up it has to be for an offensive tackle, IMO.
  17. I'm just looking forward to us not yielding 200 yard running games next year. You do that by controlling the clock on offense & having the personnel on defense. Drafting a true run stuffer NT would be a lift. Kyle Williams could shift to a more nickel defense & 3rd down pass rusher, while the NT could team up with Spikes on 1st & 2nd down, and 3rd & 4th and shorts to form a solid anti-run package. If the Bills do end up trading up, I can only see this being their favorite offensive tackle. I don't see us trading up for a defender. Marrone seems to put an emphasis on OL play & size, and Clowney & Mack are not necessarily the big body guys that Marrone covets.
  18. Are you assuming the new owners would be cancelling a new stadium being built in Buffalo? Not sure where you get $1B from. Liquidated damages at $400M is for the breach of contract - got that. Potential damages is this an NFL fee for moving a team? A team moving to LA would change the AFC East dynamic, right? The possible litigation fallout could be big, especially assuming this goes before NYS SC.
  19. The Bills turn a yearly $30 million dollar profit when all is said and done. This puts them in the middle of the pack of profitability. Given the fact that Ralph Wilson stadium is getting a $250 million upgrade for 6 seasons of football that is a good sign the team won't be leaving before 2019. Count me in the corner of those who say a prospective owner will look at the financials, and say the Bills with virtually no debt, and running around #16 of #32 teams in profitability in the America's most profitable sport represents a good buy. With so much uncertainty in the NFL today, given concussions and league liabilities, I believe any potential owner would take a "sure thing" over the simple fact that relocating a team takes time to build a new fan base. The debt service is enormous on building new stadiums not including buying a franchise. You can't simply say if we put an NFL stadium in downtown LA they will come. This is not to mention the national hollowing out of the middle class, something buffalo has been dealing with much longer than most NFL cities. Buffalo has hit rock bottom, there's nowhere else to go but up for the region and the team. Look at the demographics and you'll a city that is getting younger, and companies coming to the region due to a low cost of living and quality education. Couple this with the fact that 25% of the fans on gameday are coming 50/50 from Southern Ontario & Rochester and you have a regional franchise encompassing a population that outranks even Pittsburgh in total population within 100 miles of home field. The best thing our team can do right now from this point forward is WIN!
  20. RIP RW & Praying for #12.

  21. Kelly only needs time on the clock to win the game and beat cancer, and he's got life left & some time. He's got an entire city, region, and all sports fans behind him.
  22. A sad week gets sadder. Emptiness is in my heart. Losing our father & now possibly the "son" makes for trying times. Love all you Bills fans!
  23. Always thought Jim Kelly becoming a dad transformed him & made him the man he is today. Here's a guy who has been to hell and back personally & professionally. He always was a fighter, but it is his humanism & compassion that truly impresses me. Jim's mother would be proud of the father he has become.
