    Just about every game with them— regular season and playoffs— has come down to 1 or 2 plays. it’s going to be all about execution. I am not buying this “if we lose now, maybe we will win in the playoffs” stuff. Just need to make some plays out there and play smart.

    but defenders must do the same with Lamar and Mahomes too? Those teams have very effective RB screen games.

    On my fantasy team, I benched the Bills defense and started Josh Downs. when downs dropped that TD, he turned to me on the TV screen and winked.

    don’t get me wrong— would love to see that too. But that’s not how we are going to win this one, especially if cooper, Coleman, and Kincaid all remain out, and I suspect they will all be out. I think a ball control, mistake-free game is what we need for this one. Let them make the mistakes.

    We need an ugly win here. Like a 16-13 one. Good ST play, timely turnovers, power rushing.

    If the defensive “spy” and Josh’s mobility is a problem for the RB screens, then why are the chiefs/Mahomes and ravens/jackson able to run RB screens pretty well?

    We seem to be excellent at WR screens and horrendous at RB screens. I was glad we at least tried a few RB screens today, but they were comically bad. Yet our WR screens seem to work about 90% of the time. what gives? It makes no sense.

    Agreed. I hope McD realizes this. This isn’t like our prior matchups. Points will be at a premium on both sides. We need to take FGs when available and make some timely special teams plays and play strong field position.

    i would love to see a replay of that. It was pretty much the only penalty called for a DB all day too.

    i hear you, but we have no real big play skill players, which is what you need for those big passing games.

    Not sure you all saw this, but total bush league move by deebo Samuel basically trying to confront his kicker during the game. And the long snapper intervening and basically fighting him off— very loyal and solid move, IMO.

    Does anyone know what happened with that chiefs blocked FG? I have tried to watch it in slo mo, and I don’t understand how they were able to blow it up like that.

    Agreed. the game against KC will be decided by rushing, turnovers, defense, and ST. Not QB play or explosives.

    Agree. We got the worst CBS crew and apparently the JV officiating crew too.
