  1. Wow, thought it was more than that. Two! Ryan is a horrible head coach, never beats the good coaches, the good teams. His (not for long) team is as undisciplined and unprepared on defense as he is. Adios, hopefully tomorrow, giving Lynn a quick shot for the last game, to see if can instill some discipline, organization, and identity in the (talented) hapless Bills defense. No suspense now; so, Monday. Please!
  2. Umm...NFL.com., Pro football Refererence, and, I assume, every other reliable source... So, that's it? That correct information was making my post "measurably false"? But I assume they fell a little further down in the rankings after yet another historic defensive collapse. Hopefully yesterday's defensive debacle erased any doubt by you, by all, at what needs to be done. Just like the #19, a huge decline from their 4th place ranking when ryan arrived, the evidence, the measurable facts, are overwhelming. It is right in front of our eyes, the reality.
  3. But all the evidence in my post was factual, to the best of my knowledge, and the analysis fits the data presented, refuting your assertions. "Measurably false" means that you have clear evidence of it being false, specific and factual things you can point to that refute my claims. What is that evidence--what was "measurably false"? Or, is that statement too just like the post I was commenting on, simply made up, based on nothing more than your own opinion, though stated as fact? If it is "measurably false", then please tell me and the others reading this what that measure is; point to the things in my post that are false and provide evidence as you explain why they are. (That is what I did as I explained the problems with your post.) Thank you.
  4. As clear, rational, and well supported as the post that I was responding to. Yikes.
  5. Let me say that I personally do not think the 2014 defense was 'great', and I was simply pointing to the faulty logic of the poster. But it is clear that Big Cat is just as illogical and that his lack of facts, and faulty analysis, is another example of those supporting Ryan not having much to back up their position. The 2014 defense was very good, consistent and, for most teams, posed significant problems on offense. They looked they were on the verge of greatness. But Big Cat bizarrely implies that that the 2014 defense was a fluke, a one year thing, and that it followed a "WAS BAD" defense the year before, 2013. But, like so much in the above post. the facts do not back up the analysis. The two years before Rex Ryan took over: The Bills were ranked 10th in defense in 2013 The Bills were ranked 4th in defense in 2014 Under Rex Ryan: In 2015, Ryan's first year they were ranked 15th This year, with two years under his belt, a fully implemented Ryan defense, and his brother as his assistant coach, the Bills are 19th So, the implications in his post are completely off--the defense has clearly declined, and clearly is worse this year than last, and dramatically less effective than in 2014, a shell of its former self. And 2014 was not a 'magical' fluke defense, but one improving on many positive things from the previous year, 2013, that was not the "BAD DEFENSE" Big Cat painted it as in order to support a failing coach. Hence, Ryan took a very good defense and has made it much worse; worse last year, and worse this year than last year. So much worse than when he arrived, a defense he said himself underperformed when it was 4th in the league. They are 19th this year, and regressing as the year progresses. Those defensive numbers are the facts. Pretty clear ones, I think, so bizarre how someone could just throw those out the window and come up with their own made up facts and the faulty analysis that almost always accompanies such bad information. I can only hope that those at One Bills Drive are using legitimate information and solid analysis of it to make this important decision. If so, Rex Ryan is done, and there is almost no gray area as to why this is needed.
  6. So, the fact that he fu***** up a "great D" is overridden, somehow, by the fact that the Bills have their own "#1 pick next year" in the draft and that other coaches were so bad that you yelled at the TV, but don't yell at Ryan? Zero, and I mean nothing at all, except the not yelling at the TV idea, to in any way back up "the team will improve with consistency". The Bills have been consistently weak, underachieving, so wouldn't we expect more of that , and more of Ryan fu***** up a "great D"? You want consistency like this? Makes no sense at all.
  7. The Bills are regressing, despite good talent, and show almost no signs of becoming a consistently solid team. They look they are in disarray, unprepared during the game as they bungle the basics in NFL team in game communication. They adjust very poorly, once again, in the second half of games, whether they are behind or in the lead. The Bills had an excellent defense just before Ryan took over, one the best in the league, and Ryan's coaching has made them a below average defense, inconsistent, with no real identity, and floundering, getting weaker and weaker, even more inconsistent, as the season progresses. That is coaching, almost always. I cannot imagine how any Bills fans would think bringing Rex Ryan back for more of the same is a viable option. The argument that 'continuity is needed"/"don't want to keep changing coaches"/"he deserves one more year, they're close" do not add up in any way. An unorganized, unprepared, inconsistent, regressing team is what we will continue to see as long as Ryan is the coach. He is lazy, likely incompetent, and the Bills defense is looking more and more like that of New Orleans the last few years, before the other Ryan was fired. Enough is enough. Ryan deserved to be fired last year, will be fired this year, no matter how the Bills finish. Happy New Year, Bills fans, as there can then be a little hope, again. There is none as long as Ryan is the head coach; crystal clear.
  8. A bunch of BS, no Bills in Syracuse! But thanks for the info.
  9. Leaving for the weekend and just tried to set the DVR. But I see no signs of the Bills bengals game on local TV! I just checked again, on NFL.com's schedule, and it's likely because the game is to be on Fox and the giants are playing. But why the heck are two AFC teams scheduled for Fox? What am I missing here? Is the game definitely not on in this area?
  10. Not home and trying too record it via my Time Warner app and it has different games on CBS and NBC. help, please!
  11. I taped the game as I could not watch it Thursday. Avoided all Bills contact and talk. Then watched the game Friday. Yikes. The Bills were unprepared to win. Period. But especially the defense. Then got on this site after to see the news. The move makes no sense, just like the Bills decline on defense last year. Shocking start to the season. Just posted this prediction in another thread and then saw this thread, so here is what will happen now this season, (a season I had significant hope for a few weeks ago, thinking the offense would be good enough to (partially) overcome what would inevitably be an extremely poorly coached and unprepared defense. But not now, so, 4-12: 1. San Fran will be the Bills their first win, in week 6 on October 16, if they overcome the dramatically poor coaching and preparation. The Bills will be 1-5. 2. Jacksonville at home on November 27. ( Bills are then 2-9; not sure who the coach is at this point, but it won't be Ryan.) 3. Cleveland Browns on December 18, and the Bills are 3-11. 4. If all goes well, they will win again against the Dolphins on December 24th, a depressingly grim and cynical Merry Christmas gift for Bills fans, as our team goes 4-11. And our beloved Bills will finish at 4-12 after their loss to the Jets on the first day of 2017. Happy New Year. Outside chance: Another give us hope for the future win against the Patriots on November 30. I am not sure at what point in this process Rex will be fired, but I am convinced he will be fired before the mid point in the season, as his gross incompetence, laziness, cronyism, and lack of dedication become more apparent with every loss, every game, in which the Bills clearly are not prepared. If the Bills do the right thing early enough and bring in a competent head coach by week 4, things may change here, but probably too late to salvage the season.

  13. Really dislike almost all that he writes on the Bills, but agree with his words here. And Rex is a joke as a coach. The Bills can never, ever, be successful with this careless, incompetent, lazy head coach. Never. 4-12?
  14. Lawson never seemed like a 'good' player, only mediocre at best. Not sad to see him go, but I hope the Bills have someone better to take his place.
  15. Nope. It was a horrible call, one that should earn the ref an official reprimand. Alexander grabbed him around his thigh and brought him down. Yes, an arm was lower, but this was not a low hit. Awful call.
  16. Yes, hopefully Alexander makes the team. He could be one of the better pick ups this off season. He was the 2012 NFC special teams Pro Bowl player when playing with the Redskins. He also seems to be a good leader and character guy, and he was nominated as the Walter Payton Man of the Year several times. Let's hope he has a good year or two left at age 33 as the Bills could use a great special teams player, some linebacker depth, and another veteran leader with character.
  17. Great!, thank you, just set the DVR; hopefully it is actually broadcast this time.
  18. Thanks. And that is a great avatar!
  19. Thanks and to WotAguy as well. BS that it is was listed this morning as playing at 4 on the NFL network locally. I am obsessive compulsive about checking to see that I have actually scheduled the recordings for Bills games, checking again and again... Now, it will only get worse, with nightmares and night terrors likely to follow!
  20. Crap, just checked, yes, but that is what came up this morning when I did a search for the game, not sure what channel it was on. WTF? Why would that happen, why would the Bills game be listed on the NFLN and then not played on it??
  21. So, I get home just now, ready to relax and watch the Bills decimate the Giants, excited and happy that I am about to watch my first Bills action of the year... I recorded the game with my DVR thing from Time Warner, adding an extra 30 minutes just in case the excitement continues past the 4th quarter... And what do I see? DOUG FLUTIE!! Scanning through this it clearly was not a prelude of some kind, but a documentary that went on and on. And then, some kind of documentary on...JOE NAMATH!! So, the thing that I most wanted to watch was replaced with something you could not pay me to watch. WHY? What happened?? Wasn't the game on Syracuse TV? There is no longer a blackout rule, correct? It said Bills versus Giants when I recorded and it says the same in the recordings list. I did a search, hoping it was on later tonight or this weekend, but nothing came up.
  22. I agree-- it is my opinion, no doubt. But just because something is not commonly done does not make it wrong, and just because it has been done one way does not make that way the right way. The opinion of those arguing against my point seems to be: this is how it is done, therefore let it be. And then, the more absurd and disrespectful idea, that we don't owe Wilson anything. I disagree, think it diminishes the Bills, their history, and their legacy to replace the founder's name with a hat company's name. Ralph Wilson's name should still be the hallmark of the Buffalo Bills' stadium name. And the company would be so much better off doing so, associating their company's name and products with one of the most respected and important men in Buffalo New York's history.
  23. To say that they, and so 'we', don't owe Ralph Wilson a thing is nonsensical and disrespectful. Yes, other stadiums are not generally named after their founder, but this one was. The smart and respectful thing to do would be to include his name as a significant part of the Buffalo Bills' stadium's name. It is not all about the bottom line. Many owners took the money and ran in the last few decades, deserting their cities and their loyal fans. Ralph Wilson never did so despite many opportunities to cash in. There are many things more important than squeezing every cent out of a business, such as loyalty, history.. And integrity.
  24. They don't owe Ralph Wilson anything? You immediately lose all credibility with all clear thinking Bills fans with that statement. !!!!!
  25. Again, just because this is done doesn't make it right. The fact is the stadium is named after the founder and should retain that name. No football in this town without Ralph. I am less likely to buy the goods of New Era if his name is not part of this stadium. Makes sense from a community point of view and for the company to include his name. So, why not done? Answer: because others have not done so. Poor reason. No class without it.
