  1. No. They will just say that Karl Rove planted the "terrorist" just to increase Bush's poll numbers.
  2. Disagreeing is one thing. You have taken things to a whole new level, which is bordering on a real sickness. Seek help. Agreed, so stop it.
  3. Nice job with the Pasta Joe impersonation. You need more hate, though.
  4. You would be correct. He left in the spring of 1984 to play with the Stallions. 1986-7 he was with the 49ers...1988 with Indy...and 1989 with Miami.
  5. How do you know it didn't go to Jordan?
  6. Production facilities: One or two near Damascus, one in Hama, one in Latakia and one in Al-Safira. Storage: Khan Abu-Shamat and Furqlus. As you said, this does not include mobile units.
  7. The validity of the reporting depends on whether they are telling you what you want to hear.
  8. It is much easier to wipe them out if they have no ability to fight back. Israel Bad!!
  9. They made it up to get you to respond.
  10. OH MY GOD!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
  11. Honestly, you both should be embarassed by this exchange.
  12. I imagine he could switch and there will be a lot of pressure from the Dems to make him switch to increase their numbers. The irony of that is not lost.
  13. Nocturnal Conservatarianism.
  14. In my post, I was addressing one specific election: 2006 Santorum vs. Casey. The Libertarian will take votes from Santorum on issues like abortion and spending, among others. This helps the Dems and counteracts the Greenie vote. The Libertarians have been unable to captialize on this and the Dems are losing out.
  15. Only during the day.
  16. IIRC, the deadline is August 9th for the submission of the signatures and the primary is August 8th (I might be confusing this with another race). He has already collected the required number of signatures. He is just waiting to see if he needs them or not (wins the primary). On another note, the Green Party candidate for Senate in PA (going against Santorum) is making good progress. The Republicans have been donating money and helping him get the unconstitutional number of signatures required to put him on the ballot. This has really pissed off the Dems, since the Greenie will be stealing votes from them. Of course, the Libertarians were unable to see this and have been unable to captialize. They should have contacted the Dems to do the same thing with the Libertarians. A Libertarian candidate will steal votes from Santorum. It just amazes me how the Greenies are able to be better organized and make more progress than the Libertarians when the Libertarians have far more registered voters.
  17. April 5, 1969. I was born into a family of Bills fans. My parents were Bills fans, by Uncle was a Bills fan. My grandparents were Bills fans, etc. My uncle was also a broadcaster (worked with Van Miller doing basketball games), which is another connection. It just kept snowballing from there. I am now dedicated to preserving WNY pro football history.
  18. I think what Simon and AD are referring to is not that there are specific viewpoints regarding the role of government in each philosophy, but that each person's individual viewpoint does not always fit neatly into a pre-defined philosophy. Take me for example. I am between an old-school conservative and a Libertarian. I feel that the old-school conservatives do not go far enough in reducing the role of government, while the Libertarians take things too far. My personal viewpoint does not fit a specific political philosophy, but is a combination of philosophies. Therefore, I would answer "Neither" to your question, as well. Basically, it was a bad question.
  19. Again, it gets back to personal responsibility. You are saying that the government should step in because people are too lazy to take care of themselves. I say "Tough!" It is not the government's job to do things for you because it would require effort on your part. If you are unwilling to take care of yourself, don't use my tax dollars to counteract your laziness. Get up off your lazy fvcking azz and do it yourself. Does investigating a company require work? Yup. Life's tough. Deal with it.
  20. I heard that he already has the signatures to get on the ballot as an Independent and will file them immediately if he does not win the primary. If he is successful, I think that you will see more candidates trying this route.
  21. Life's tough. Deal with it. Fear mongering aside, coal mining is a dangerous job. So is police officer or firefighter. You sign up for a dangerous job, you are expected to deal with danger. It is part of the job description. Here is a thought...How about doing research on a company before signing on with them? That is what everyone else does. Laziness is no excuse. The problems described are all things that can be overcome. Again, nothing you described cannot be solved by personal responsibility.
  22. They didn't leave by choice. We changed the locks when they were not looking.
  23. So, the government should regulate private businesses because changing jobs is too much effort (in your words, "inefficient")? You are right, we are not going to agree on this.
  24. It is the responsibility of the business owner to inform their employees (and prospective employees) of smoking policies, safety measures, toxin levels, etc. It is the responsibility of the employee (and prospective employee) to determine if the levels are acceptable to them. Notice: no government involvement. It is not the government's job to protect you from yourself. To quote another poster here: "Personal responsibility: Get some!!"
  25. Just playing Devil's Advocate...Who is forcing you to work in an unsafe environment? Don't you have the option to NOT work there? If I was unhappy with my job (for whatever reason), I would leave. Everyone else has the same option. Why should the workplaces be forced to abide by what you want?
