  1. Did not get to see the game here in Ohio! It was on cbssn and I dropped cable (thought that locally it would be switched to CBS proper like ESPN/ABC do.. but nope), so i then went to the bar, and they didn't have the channel. I'm sure several other bars did, but for whatever reason I stayed put, and just watched lots of CFB. JT's stat line didn't look bad, but the one int was boneheaded. I'm excited still, learning on the job, VA Tech next.. big test. GO BUCKS!
  2. Hope Sammy can play next week. You never know, a completely different team could show up. Let's all hope.
  3. Has he ever started an NFL regular season game? EJ easily has 5x the experience he does. He's spent his entire career as a camp arm, this is like saying Dennis Dixon should be picked up... wait?
  4. Meh, hope he means it, and not just doing damage control. I've liked him a lot this preseason.
  5. Somewhere over on Eagles forum.... "Think we could trade Barkley for Tuel, he looked pretty good this pre-season?" Somewhere over on Dolphins forum.... "Think we could pick up Thad Lewis, he looked pretty good beating us twice last year?" Somewhere over on Skins forum.... "We need to trade Cousins or RG3 and get something for the draft, we have too many holes to fill".
  6. What do you suppose we could have got for him prior to camp? A fifth or sixth? He more than serviceable last year, and a lot of teams need that at DT.
  7. A valid question. I think it has to do with the offensive design itself. Like two years ago we were a great RB screen team, now we can't run them to save our lives. Many of the same personnel... just can't do it like they could. I think practice is concentrated on the particular schemes you wanna run, with only sprinklings of other stuff only so you can run them once in a blue moon. Generally you aren't very good at those things.
  8. I think he probably has a smaller playbook than some coaches, and if he's only going to run 2% of it in the preseason that may equate to only 4 plays repeatedly. I think he trusts EJ just fine (he has to), I think the play calling opened up because Marrone finally said to Hacket "cut the $#!*"
  9. Agreed, ball security is about number 10 on ej's thing to clean up, the first five being accuracy to various parts of the field. I've far from given up on him, but to deny his obvious shortcomings is unfair at this point.
  10. If he dumps it to Fred, the fumble never happened, but this post is instead about EJ checking down too much (Fred gains two at most). The o-line stunk on this particular play (and most others), and EJ at least had his eyes down field. I'm not trying to be an apologist, but these plays happen to every QB. EJ's issue is about accuracy, and not much else.
  11. The idea behind th draft is to get 2-3 successful starters. I think they've already done that with Sammy and Seantrel, and its still very promising for several others. Worry about next years draft then.
  12. Still have faith in EJ. But today makes it REALLY tough.
  13. Just so confused right now, hoping I'm wrong about everything I've seen
  14. Lord help us, nothing encouraging going on.
  15. Epically bad on offense! For a ton of reasons. A miracle needs to happen, for them to a functional group
