So who do you think we owe thanks to for -
JoeF replied to Kipers Hair's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After the first drive, Kelly had good time to throw and we were getting 2 or 3 yards of push on most of the run plays, Also--Big Benny can get outside on sweeps and screens...something most thought he couldn't do... I have to be honest---seeing them live today--I was impressed. -
Evans. Aiken's block allowed Fast Freddie to get a TD in the first Quarter Reed laid a DB out on another Moulds catch in the 3rd quarter.. We do have some good blocking WR.

Thanks Lori. Great prep for the annual family sojourn to Buffalo this weekend... Another little one (6) gets introduced to the Bills experience on Sunday..If she is anything like her older sister--we will have another life long fan.

Is Nick Saban the twin of Kevin Spacey?

Geez a coach looking for competitive advantage by not revealing personnel choices and moves...he should be blasted and roundly criticized by his local media and on his team's Internet message boards.. -
Jonas Jennings Potentialy season ending injury
JoeF replied to OnTheRocks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jennings missing games..thats about like confirming Romo on roids. The guy MAY be worth $6-7 million a year if he was durable--but durability is the main reason the Bills didn't make the offer. Give TD, Modrak and John Guy just a little credit on this one... Also--I know this won't be popular--but the Bills most consistent offensive lineman this year may just be Mike Gandy....our street free agent...admittedly the best of a bad lot right now... -
The Bills won a game last week against a very good defense with the entire right side of their OL (the best side of their line in most pundits opinion) out (sans extra points by Williams). They moved the ball at will their first three drives aided by some penalities but they still made clutch plays. They shut out an offense that had shown the ability to move the ball in previous games during the first half. They forced 4 turnovers and recovered a bad snap. They continued to display dominant special teams. They get missing pieces of the offensive line back this week. I don't think its rose colored glasses to give them a few more weeks before counting them out.....

I saw the season opener against NC State. Marcus was clearly the difference in that game in the 2nd half--there were at least 4 plays in the half where he avoided an onslaught and picked up 15 plus either through the air or with his feet. Pocket awareness is uncanny given how little QB he has played. Va. Tech would have one in the L column without him... Now if he would stay away from the weed and under age girls -- we may have something...I call him little Mexico...

Sam Adams? Goal line TE's should work on their game... I would enjoy seeing Roscoe play on Sunday...The Jets will have to respect that speed in the slot or out wide..a little bit less attention to the run and little bit less attention to Moulds and Evans. O-Line should be back to the starters this week as well...we are 1-0 with the full starting unit playing an injury free game...

JoeF replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Congrats John. A great honor... Have you worked on your sound bites for before the game, halftime and after the victory... Before "We have to execute." "Run and stop the run." "Take what they give us on O and take away what they like to do on D." Halftime "Tough battle out there." "We are doing some things well but can improve in several areas." "We always strive to improve and that includes making halftime adjustments." Post - Game "It was a hard fought game against a worthy adversary. We were glad to come out with a win." "This was a team win..but to be honest, my kid is better than any of these other little snot nosed pussies out here (oops sorry....).. -
NFL Network is showing the Exorcist???? You'd think at this time of year they would have enough programming.

Must have been the Ginsu suite.... ooops -- how insensitive... -
Agreed. The opponent's 18 penalties and 5 turnovers should have led to a much wider margin of victory if the Bills were a good team. There were some reasons for optimism though-- We drove the ball at will the first half with a rookie and a street free agent on the right side of our offensive line...for some reason we put that offense in the archives the second half and Miami began to take advantage of the patch work offensive line. Our punter is back to his all-pro form Our special teams continue to be league leading Our kicker has been possessed by an alien being that has turned him into a real kicker But we still can't run with consistency and stop the run---hence the playoffs are probably out of reach....maybe the return of the Right Side of the Offensive line can help with the run part --- but I am afraid we are looking at a season long problem with the D stopping the run. I will take all the lucky wins against hated division rivals we can get---in fact 5 more this season just like yesterday would be fine...

Typical egocentric, obnoxious, omnipotent post from the Alaskan King Crab....unfortunately -- I agreed with every word... Now onto another hated team--the Jests--look at these 4 weeks--Fish, Jests, Raiders and Pats--just one big bundle of teams you love to beat....your note could apply to any of these. BTW--Go Irish--I think they have a shot against the condoms this week...

Holcomb, Bulger, Gannon, Delhomme, Maddox
JoeF replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree on both counts Mr. T, it is too early to annoint Kelly our savior..and its way too early to annoint JP a bust. You can point to Eli Manning, Carson Palmer as the positive side of development and hope JP gets there. How JP handles this string of games that he sits--even if its the next 11 (and maybe the Playoffs -- PLAYOFFS in my best Jim Mora voice) will be interesting to watch. He now has to somewhat earn the job back instead of it being handed to him..a much different role. Kelly is in the fold for 4 years...he is not one of those QB's who is going to see a huge skill detoriation as he gets older--he's not very fast, doesn't have the big arm--both of those things erode over time...he is smart, effective, productive...very different than any QB we have had in the past. This roller coaster season may be headed back up the hill..... -
That could turn into a lucrative profession--only work two or three months a year, get paid by all sides....hmmmmm....
-
CL--he really didn't mean the cat thing...it was a momentary -- Bill Bennett type lapse of judgement.

I am in North Carolina.....my dream is to have a summer and fall house in Buffalo in about 5 years...is that sick or what? The games are just so much more fun live at the Ralph. the Chiefs should have just about eliminated themselves by then with their D... -

TSW reaches a new low in bitter attacks
JoeF replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Non controversial??? Eric admitted that he and the other vets form an inner circle..its nothing short of shocking. Shame on 80 for breaking the news. I think TD is going to order a Code Red. Maybe Jack Nicholson will play TD in the movie...although Leslie Nielsen's probably a better fit.
