  1. Damn you math....
  2. When Marrone is done we will have decided that Greggggggg Williams has been rehabilitated and bring him back
  3. Morris has coached the line that led a #1 rushing attack 3 times.
  4. Got it John--I wasn't posting what I believe -- I was posting what the worst case was...all in all the worst case isn't that freakin' far from where we are today in reality. So what's the point of the all whole thread? That Russ is incompetent and lying to us -- Newsflash -- we as Bills fans have basically been lied to by management for the last decade plus....starting with the whole Flutie/Johnson thing through TD, Marv, Russ and now Buddy. Yet--I will continue to date our version of Lennay Kekua...because I love the Bills.
  5. So is this the worst case scenario -- First, the Marrone hire inside homer hire that was pre-destined from the moment Chan was fired. It was done partially because of finances and partially because Russ wants to further regionalize the franchise. Second, the Bills are having trouble attracting top notch assistants. Other than Pettine, Crossman, Hillard and Henderson the Bills are left with guys that have never had the role they have now at the pro level and Henderson and Crossman have been fired from the roles they now have by other teams and Hillard's team freely let him go for a lateral promotion. O'Neill and Weaver were both assitants to an assistant. The next logical steps in a further decline of this franchise are: - Marrone hires an inexperienced coach for O-Line - Fitz is retained - Byrd and Levitre are both allowed to leave - They draft Nassib at 8 If all this happens the Bills will surely decline even further into the abyss -- and now with 7 years of new lease -- the non-playoff streak will stretch to 20.
  6. About 45--so an unusual, record year.

  8. There was some study--I can't remember much about it--some adverse effect about watching porn on-line....damn...wish I could remember.
  9. Okay-- the defendant worked at a hotel with lots of furniture I assume -- ummmm--not staying in that hotel...yikes..... Second--the couch is not a position to sue...how cute that writer and editor were trying to be. Third--this gives me a whole new context to a command statement like -- get your feet off the !@#$ing couch I'm done - pardon the interuption...
  10. Florence Henderson? Loved her on the Brady Bunch. She'll be a helluva DB coach. Betcha she grew up in Central Bucks West, PA.
  11. Kruger is represented by former Bill Joe Panos who is making quite a name for himself in the agent world...just a note.... I like him because you can do a lot with him -- DE in the 4/3; stand up in the 3/4--he's big man at 270 -- and he fits Pettine's philosophy of attack and varying looks well. We need a serious talent infusion at LB -- a high draft pick and a free agent at least.
  12. Chuck is from Central Bucks West where Pettine's dad coached and Pettine went to school. The guys been a coach for 35 years -- coached Patrick Willis, etc..many pro athletes. Not so bad. Remember assistants are homer hires. The coordinators need folks with which they are comfortable and will implement their system. The time to criticize this is when results on the field are below expectation. I know that's hard -- but names matter little right now...Driesbach is actually a coup in my mind....
  13. Haloti Ngata and Patrick Willis Strength up the middle
  14. I bet the perp and the victim are related.....
  15. Have a great time. Maybe you can go look for thin ice on the Lake.
  16. Great point. Also a case for retaining Metzalaras.
  17. TD drinks Babies Blood Gregggggggggggoooooo Sources deep within leads to Soprano#### (can't remember the numbers)
  18. http://www.newyorkjets.com/photos-and-videos/videos/Jets-Talk-LIVE-Mike-Pettine/a30bf835-0e36-4499-ad87-20ba4a0b8845 A in-depth interview . Key statement -- "if NFL offenses come to the line and know what the defense is running you are in trouble" Remember that this is at the end of a very long, chaotic season and the guy still has lots of enthusiasm and is very knowledgeable.
  19. http://blog.syracuse.com/orangefootball/2009/08/doug_marrones_playbook.html Too lazy to see if anyone had posted this. Thought it was a good historical perspective of the Bills new head coach when he was hired at Syracuse.
  20. He was. Just tremendous at passing along life's lessons with practical examples and a wicked sense of humor. One story....Dr. Walker was President of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) during the Harding-Kerrigan tire iron incident. He was called before the Senate Commerce Committee which had the power to recommend that the USOC's tax exemption be removed. Senator McCain was the lead interagator and he asks Dr. Walker ---how is the USOC governed? Doc explains to Sen. McCain that the USOC is governed by a board that includes the governing bodies of the Olympic Sports and appointments from corporate, sports and policy leaders..all in all -- 100 votes. Sen. McCain says -- Dr. Walker --100 votes isn't that highly inefficient and cumbersome to get things done. Without missing a beat Doc says.."Well Senator McCain -- we pattern ourselves after the US Senate." That was Doc.....In a subsequent visit to Capitol Hill in 1998 -- I am with Doc and we go to visit McCain (the two became fast friends)...McCain says it took every bit of restraint he had not to burst out laughing.
  21. Ronnie, Sorry you had to post on the off the wall forum. I just read my PMs. Giving everyone some context. Ronnie and I have a mutual friend, Dr. LeRoy T. Walker. Dr. Walker died this past spring at 93 years old. We both had the pleasure of working with him a lot. Rather than post everything Dr. Walker did in his life...here's his Obit from the NY Times http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/25/sports/olympics/leroy-t-walker-us-olympic-committees-first-black-president-is-dead-at-93.html?_r=0 Ronnie--thanks for PMing me and making the connection. I think about Doc every day and what I learned. I was blessed to be part of his life. Stay well my friend..hope our paths cross sometime. JoeF
  22. I am in the wait and see camp but cautiously optimistic. Would you rather have a guy on the rise or a guy at the end of his coaching career trying to capture greatness he never had? Any transition like this is hard and those expecting Gruden or Cowher were sure to be disappointed -- but I see the logic here -- Lovie Smith is a really good coach but he never won a super bowl and missed the playoffs in the majority of his years; same with Whisenhunt. Reid was not a candidate for the Bills job. Marrone knows what a great QB looks like (Brees) he also knows how to use talent we have (Spiller). Welcome Coach Marrone!
  23. Permission to steal it, with proper citation of course?
  24. The terminally cynical.....Nice! Good job -- you and Jay are so good at this media stuff....
