  1. Mine came out of the local paper. If Weather Channel says it's gonna rain, that's more reason to believe it'll be beautiful!
  2. Long range forecast for next Saturday: Sunny and low 70's!
  3. With the hideousness of this years' Super Bowl logo, let's look for ones we do like: http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2009/0...28logos_gfx.jpg My top 5: XXX - love the southwest motif XXXVII - good color scheme, lighthouse XXVII - Good use of Roses from Rose Bowl site XXVIII - Peachy XXXIX - like the bridge Honorable Mention - XXXI - like the New Orleans look
  4. So those unfortunate souls in Rochester without DirecTV/NFL Network can't see it at home. Sucks that the blackout rule extends to "secondary markets" but the availability of cable-only games does not. Not that I'm affected personally because I have NFL Network. Hey... PARTY AT MY PLACE!
  5. So you're sayin' there's a chance...
  6. The 3 roadies are done within the first 6 weeks of the season, and the 3 home* games are played in a 4 week span after Thanksgiving. 4 of our last 6 games are at home* So if we can come out of those 2 post-bye road games in decent shape there's some hope.
  7. Nick Tahou's (as if I need to say it...) MMMMMMmmmmm Plates! WHO'S IN?
  8. You pound the QB before he gets a chance to deliver the ball. If we can't block, all the weapons won't help much.
  9. I e-filed my federal last night - over a grand back . And I owe NYS $134 The state return goes in the mail on the way home from work this evening
  10. There are shuttle lots all around the stadium. People park cars on their lawns too.
  11. My son's first game he was 3 1/2. He only went to preseason games until he was 6, but he's 11 now and goes to all of 'em. He's even been to a game at the Meadowlands. Of course, my game day experience has changed greatly...
  12. Here's StubHub's page (yes, there are already tickets available) http://www.stubhub.com/nfl-hall-of-fame-ga...-9-2009-790349/
  13. Page rendering delays, Server errors and busy signals had me worried, but I got my 10 tickets! Section South 9 Row J seats 11-16 and Row K seats 13-16. And they're all spoken for Direct link to ticket page: http://prod1.agileticketing.net/WebSales/P...64d10dcb61&
  14. 2 options IMHO: - Seats in sections dominated by season ticket holders - less chance of rowdiness/nastiness - Family section
  15. And now you know how he got voted to a 2nd Pro Bowl.
  16. Holy Crap - he's playing 10 miles from me tonight! Might have to see that - it's probably been 15 years since my last appointment with Dr Dirty
  17. <butthead>He said mound</butthead> <beavis>Yeah. Heh heh. That was cool</beavis>
  18. Some pics of that actual jersey: http://cache.gettyimages.com/xc/356898.jpg...84831B75F48EF45 http://cache.gettyimages.com/xc/358702.jpg...84831B75F48EF45 http://cache.gettyimages.com/xc/281679.jpg...84831B75F48EF45 Those jerseys had the spandex inserts under the arms too.
  19. Update: maybe it was a meteor after all... http://news.yahoo.com/s/space/20090331/sc_...meteornotrocket
  20. Then you only have 2 WR and 3 LB... Primarily, the Super Bowl teams were 1 RB/3WR on offense and a 3-4 defense. One thing I found interesting was that they did not specify line positions. I voted for 4 guards (Shaw, Joe D, Reggie, and Ritcher) and a center (Hull) for example. I couldn't justify Wolford or Ballard with their 4-6 years each. My last vote came down to Ritcher vs Devlin.
  21. Maybe we shouldn't be so respectful this year
  22. I picked Saban, even before today's sad news of his passing. I feel like Levy was more an orchestrator of excellent parts. Saban was more of a "football coach".
