How's this for a mind-blower: what if Moorman wore out his leg in preseason fending off the competition that Chan brought in? Happens all the time in the wild - the alpha male eventually wears down from age and all the challenges to his position.

It means he realized he spelled Moorman with an 'e'

According to my source, the Hojnowski thing was just a delay in the team putting together a "retirement package" for the guy, who was ready to retire. Nothing more to it.

The guy who has seasons in front of me always used to yell "LET MOORMAN RUN IT!" whenever they lined up to punt.

Another interesting stat - he's had 6 punts go OOB but only 2 of his punts were inside the 20. The next closest punter only has 3 OOB punts.
