  1. It'll be back.
  2. Waikiki is nice.
  3. I'm OK. No, really I'm fine. Nothing to see here folks.
  4. Yep that's right in front of my seats.
  5. Jack I sent mine to Pat Mathews (Senior Mgr of Customer Relation), whose name was on the letter (Mathews, Pat <Pat.Mathews@bills.nfl.net>. He left me a voicemail and a return email almost immediately, but I have yet to call him back.
  6. So last week I got an email from the Bills about "Season Ticket Member Renewal Rewards". This is a program for rewarding early renewal of season tickets. It said I had been given a randomly selected login time of today (9/12) at 11 AM. I talked to season ticket holders around me at the opener (none of whom have had their tickets as long as I have) about this, and they had already gotten to pick their rewards. I asked what kinds of things they had to pick from and they said things like on-field experiences, stadium tours, stuff like that. That sounded pretty cool. Well I logged in today and my options were a CJ Spiller poster or a yearbook. Am I wrong to think that long-term support should count for something? I've been a season ticket holder for 27 years now. The only perk I've seen is priority in seat-relocation and I like where I sit and who sits around me. I think every other thing gives club seat holders priority (if not exclusive access) regardless of seniority. Grrrrrrrr
  7. I thought you were gonna say you saved 15% or more on car insurance.
  8. I wonder if the little shindig that was put on by Tim Graham & John Wawrow at the same time as The WGR / Bills thing pissed off WGR to the point they severed the relationship with TBN

  10. According to this morning's Rochester D&C
  11. There's an ancient TBD Tailgate story or 2 there. R. Rich is a bit of a ball-buster and likes to confuse people. He once had me convinced he hated beer. And year 1 (or maybe 2) there were complex arrangements made the night before whereby Guffalo and AiO would go to the tailgate early, and their respective spouses (the aforementioned Pat and Bernard) would meet up at the hotel and come together later. Well, the next morning neither spouse had any memory of this arrangement, or even who the other person was.
  12. That's awesome. Looking forward to seeing Sally do that same TD dance sometime soon.
  13. Jimmy Fallon, ladies and gentlemen!
  14. I keep telling my son it's named after Adam Ant. He bought it til he went to Wikipedia to look it up.
  15. Who's Pat? Who's Bernard?
  16. I too saw a couple standing the whole time in my section and getting lippy when asked to sit. Cops came and walked them up the steps. I was very surprised to see them back in those seats later in the game.
  17. Even worse - he opted to take it out. Point is - people say the Goodwin injury had/has little effect. It was bigger than people think.
  18. Remember that Goodwin is also our primary KO returner. His absence made TJ go out there and he bobbled the kickoff in the mid 4th quarter which required him to take it out and get tackled inside the 15.
  19. I couldn't tell you about the changes to tailgating in the stadium lots as I was not near them. Walking to the stadium: Heard alot about the new laws regarding open alcohol containers on public roads/walkways around the stadium. Saw many people who had them, and nobody get hassled about it. Approaching the gates: Supposedly they had increased the distance from the stadium into which you could not bring alcohol. Didn't notice this at all. Those that brought their beers with them still drank them near the gates. At the gates: Had a person at each gate with a bullhorn who was reading a prepared script about the new measures. Everyone still took everything metal out of pockets. Used to have separate lines for guys & girls - no more. Since no pat downs, they had male & female security handling male & female fans. They wanded everyone. Didn't se anybody turned away for anything disallowed. It took maybe 2 minutes to get through, at about 12:15 PM. During the game: Noticeably more uniformed sheriff patrols, stadium personnel, and security going up and down the sections in the lower bowl.
  20. "Tonight, I become a man. Here's to you, Kate" or "Oh honey, look. Serena's just got such powerful ground strokes. She covers the court so well. And those serves are amazing. Her backhand..." Oh my GOD WOMAN SHUT UP! I'm busy here!
  21. 1) I love you guys! It's so awesome that so many come in from so far and we get to catch up in-person once a year. 2) Many thanks to the folks that contributed so much food and time. Meades of course for the amazing strombolis. Beerball for manning the grill after the game. Just Jack for the gatorade, water, etc and all the time and effort. 3) Thanks for making my buddies Ian, Jamie, Jeremy & Kelly feel like part of "the gang" even though this was just their first or second time being at this shin-dig and never actually posting. 4) Thanks to jboyst62 for the apple pie moonshine 5) Very cool to meet some Tailgate newbies this year. Gugny and jboyst62 come to mind and I'm sure there are others that are lost in the blur 6) As always thanks to Hammer for being such a good host. He was heard more than once telling his people "the lot is full except for Two Bills Drive!". I just wish there was a quicker way out of there. FYI the Meades have volunteered to take over T-shirt design and execution for next year so be ready for a return of the traditional TBD Tailgate T-Shirt! From what I hear we'll have many more options - we'll have artwork designed and it can be applied to shirts of different styles and colors. Once again my camera was buried in the bottom of my trunk somewhere and I didn't get a single photo. If you took pics please post them here so we can all enjoy them and relive the day.
