  1. McKelvin has struggled too, but my expectations for Gilmore were too high. I don't expect McKelvin to be a shut down corner. He could have played better too, but the point is Arron can help these corners, and without him out there our secondary is just bad.
  2. OK I'll blame him for the other 6 I've seen him give up this season/preseason... Don't want to sound combative, but Gilmore is frustrating
  3. Really hurt not having Aaron Williams in the secondary today. Not saying we'd win if he'd been able to play, but would have really helped our chances. We can get away with one below average safety with Aaron out there. We were exposed, and it wasn't the linebackers who were the problem in coverage this week like I feared all week. Side note - I think I just saw Gilmore get beat for another TD.
  4. I didn't read through this whole post, but I'm glad it was posted!! Long term answer is 5 years in my opinion. If he plays well the rest of the season, let's make him the starter again next year, and about midway through next season sign him up for another 4 years.
  5. I was looking for this thread, and agree, it's been a while sense we have a 300 yard passer. It didn't feel like it was a 300 yard day, and I'd say that is a positive. Your QB should be able to throw for 300 yards within the flow of the game, and eventually won't need to celebrate 300 yard passing games.
  6. Trent probably a little bias with this prediction
  7. KW out hurts bad. Who was that kid that we cut that was doing well this preseason, any chance to bring him back this week, or any practice squad players move up this week to fill the gap (pun)
  8. BIGGEST W ALL YEAR AND FOR YEARS TO COME!
  9. Beginning of the end... Beginning of the end...
  10. I could see Minn doing that deal... They get a viable WR while we get there 3rd string qb to back up EJ.
  11. I only opened this because I thought it may be a joke...
  12. I think it's fair to compare, just to calm down us fans. Jury is out on EJ still, but I like the posts that can bring us back down to earth on expectations. Good post.
  13. EJ fumbled snap next play. That's a killer for a coach, a distraction that carries over to the next play. Not saying it's EJ's fault, but some scrub ruining two plays, cut him now I say...
  14. Spiller is an awesome dude, and a rare talent. Any talk of losing him is outrageous.
  15. I just don't think it provides much context... The glaring statement that no team as called them was repeated twice with no indication that they were not open to the idea...
  16. One silver lining for us that hope Spiller stays. Someone in the front office called CJ when trading in the draft for Sammy (CJ then called EJ as it has been stated by CJ). You wouldn't think a person in the Bills Draft room would call someone they had intentions on trading... All the other stuff is fluff... Repeating the carefully worded statement that nobody called him is what I'm concerned with.
  17. Agree. Pretty easy to read between the lines in that statement. He even repeated himself with that carefully worded response...
  18. Next question: How many teams have you called about Spiller, Mr. Whaley?
  19. glad he turned those people down...
  20. I'm really glad someone created this topic. Our love for Freddy can be a bit blinding, but the talent at RB is crazy. FredEx is a gamer though, I'll still take him over Dixon and Brown for now. Side note: Brown and CJ on the field at the same time makes me gitty.
  21. Read this and felt similar, that the QB situation is a problem in Buffalo. I still miss him here even though it could (would) have been a problem with Sammy getting all the hype if he stayed. Last thought... Can we get more that a 4th rd pick for a good player? I mean how many 4th round talents are we giving any playing time to?
  22. what does 'in' mean? Also - I'm sick of hearing the CJ is leaving. He's one of our best players, why would we want to lose him from a FO standpoint. What are we looking at for Franchising a RB for next year? Let's get the best years out of him, and ride him a little more??? COME ONE>!?!?!>
  23. If this affects a deal with Spiller, I hate it. I do love some Fred Jackson, but man, we traded a top 5 back once, and if we lose spiller we'll probably see him excel elsewhere (maybe not top 5).
  24. This is all that needs to be said. Spiller at 4M a year is a simple decision... Reggie Bush and Spiller are perfect comparison. Spiller beats him in rushing, and Bush beats Spiller in receiving. I think they could even get him 5.5M per year. He's an elite talent, and if the coaches can't find a way to use him, they should be replaced.
