Rasul Douglas contract restructure... saves $2.5 mill
BillsFan130 replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Re structure in the last year of his deal? Would this mean void years added on potentially? -
Takeaways from Beane's Combine pressers
BillsFan130 replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Technically yes, but a 10 mil hard cap hit isn't ideal at all. It's in both parties best interest to come to an extension. 1. Douglas gets security 2. Bills clear much needed cap space But if Douglas is being unreasonable, it puts Beane in a tough spot for this years cap and future years -

No I know, I was just responding to the comment where it said it would be ridiculous to get rid of Douglas. The more I think about it, the more I think it's possible- especially if Douglas is asking for a massive extension and the bills can save 10 mil with 0 dead cap -

True. But what happens if he is asking for a ridiculous contract? If the Bills keep him, they almost have to lower his cap number by extending him. And if he's asking for a ridiculous contract, I don't think it would be wise to give that to a guy nearing 30 in a position where you need to be quick. -

Ya I agree. I was more just speculating because if they release Douglas, I would guess Tre would be back in some capacity. -

I would bet yes as he tore it October 1st and Achilles injuries these days typically seem to be 6- 9 month range. But regardless that would be a big gamble as who knows how effective he would even be -

The Douglas situation is fascinating to me. I wonder what the plan would be then: CB1: Benford CB2: Tre? CB3: Elam And then maybe draft a depth CB/ core 4 special teamer to fill the siran Neal role in the mid rounds? (If they were to cut Neal and save some cap that is) -

Greatest comedy show of all time -
Yep. Our cap situation sucks but at least we have our QB paid. They still have Tua on a rookie deal lol. And def don't feel bad for them as well, especially when they were laughing when Milano went down

It will be rough but they can backload a lot of their contracts and re structure their big ones. Bengals window will be at least 2-3 more years until they start running into cap issues

What is your level of patience on not advancing to the Super Bowl?
BillsFan130 replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is it McDermott that plays Reid well, or is is it Josh Allen who is the only qb in the game who can go toe to toe with Mahomes? (regular season McDermott does good against Andy, but that doesn't matter) -
How clutch was Josh in 2023? No other QB even came close

You mean the 80 yard TD Diggs dropped on the final drive? -

Love this but... How the hell is Tua considered one of the most "clutch QBs"? lol It amazes me some people treat it like it's boxing. "Josh has to beat Mahomes" "burrow already beat Mahomes". It's such a lazy argument and makes me wonder if people even watch the games -

Agreed about benford. Tre would scare me at safety though. Historically he is a horrible tackler. Not ideal for what you need to have in a safety haha -

I would definitely not move benford to safety. I just was asking him as he suggested Tre might be back and I was saying in order to make a spot for him, Elam would have to be traded or benford would have to transition to safety. Again, I def wouldn't move him to safety as you don't mess with a good young corner, but it has been a popular suggestion amongst a lot of bills fans -

I actually agree a lot of what you're saying with Tre. However where it gets tricky is the numbers game at corner as of now. 1. douglas 2. benford 3. Elam 4. Tre only 3 of those guys are going to be game day active. I'm assuming you would want to trade Elam or move benford to safety? As something would have to be done for Tre to be on the roster -
NeverOutNick's First round QB rankings

Nice post, thanks for the breakdown -
You got to be careful about cause /correlation.. O line could have played worse for many different ressons and it's extremely shallow just to isolate it to one player going out. (Who's a below average player pretty objectively)

My friend is a diehard fan and said Feliciano was a horrible for the most part all season long. Even great teams have holes in their roster. (Just look at the chiefs receiving group)

Bass Makes $1 Million More per Year Than Butker
BillsFan130 replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was pretty skeptical of it at the time as im not just saying this now. Kickers are so up and down in the nfl and there's really only a couple guys you can trust year in and year out. While bass was "good" his first 3 years, he was never really a top tier kicker IMO Why not just let him play out the 4th year of his contract and then make a decision from there? -
Off-Season Hot Take: Mid Season Struggles And The #1 Seed
BillsFan130 replied to Bills!Win!'s topic in The Stadium Wall
The biggest issues in my opinion is injuries, especially on defence. 2021- Tre white- prob win that chiefs game with him 2022- tons of injuries on d but I still think they lose to the bengals as bills were flat 2023- Down to our 4th string retired linebacker in Klein covering Kelce Meanwhile chiefs stayed relatively healthy during those games and didn't have any major pieces missing. I am not a "excuse guy " but objectively the bills have had some bad luck with injuries, especially on the d side
