  1. I actually like our logo quite a bit. Both the standing buffalo and the charging one.
  2. I say we go all in on getting AP. Dude runs with reckless abandon! That's the kind of ground and pound attitude we need!
  3. Considering Revis only signed a one year deal with New England and the Pats don't seem to like to tie players up in high money long term contracts, there is a good chance Revis will leave the Pats. Given that he excelled in Rex's defense, I think there is a chance we go after him. With the hiring of Rex, I think Hughes is much more likely to walk. Hughes was traded to us from Indianapolis laregly because he did not excel in the Colts 3-4 scheme. Now Rex is converting the Bills to a 3-4. Also, Mario Williams did not like Wade Philips 3-4 in Houston.
  4. While I was a Marrone supporter, I am now thankful he left.
  5. My prediction: There will be no more treating EJ Manuel like he is a fragile piece of glass. He is going to be asked to run the ball in the read option even if that means taking hits. My bolder prediction: The Bills will trade next yer's first round pick and this years 2nd round pick to trade up and take a QB. Manuel and the new guy will compete for the job.
  6. I hope I'm wrong but you took the words right out of my mouth.
  7. I don't see Schwartz leaving unless he gets a head coaching offer. He has one of the best DC jobs in the league.
  8. If the Jets hire Marrone, which is looking more likely by the day, this could turn into an epic rivalry. Unfortunately, I was a defender of Marrone and thought and think he was and is a good coach, so I'm pissed to see him go. I do think, as various reports are surfacing, that the fan negativity played a role in his departure. He wants to stick it to Buffalo now. He knows our personell extremely well obviously. Though I wish we had embraced him and he was still around, I hope we make the right hire and can find a way to smash him.
  9. Idiot fans wanted Marrone gone. The man was a good coach. Can't stand stupid fans. Now he walks and half the league wants him. Complete and utter moron fans.
  10. I went to Indiana University which is where James Hardy played college ball. The guy was a total animal for IU despite playing against teams that were better than his team (Indiana is a weak team in the big ten). He certainly had the physical tools to succeed but I just think he had too much mental stuff going on to focus on and develop his game. Terry Hoepner, who was the head coach at IU when Hardy was there, told James, "There are only a few people in the world that can make some of the catches you can make." Hardy was hesitant to believe him because he thought he was just blowing steam up his butt. Hardy said something like, "Don't play with me, I've been lied to too much. I don't want you telling me lies about my ability and then I believe them and am let down." Hoeppner replied, " I'm not lying. I'm serious." Hardy originally went to Indiana to play basketball and was pretty good. He was a 4-star basketball recruit coming out of high school. The football team started recruiting him though once he got on campus and he felt his odds of going pro were better in football so he went the football route.
  11. Marrone is a good coach. I'm glad he is staying the course. I think we have a good chance of making the playoffs with him. Stop being stupid.
  12. Bunch of idiots on this board it seems sometimes. The only QB with a winning record since the Flutie-Johnson era and you guys are chasing him out of town. Thanks Kyle. Wish you were sticking around.
  13. Cutler's personality is an absolute poison. He has ruined every coach and OC he has touched. I'd be really cautious about this one.
  14. Actually they are complaining about #12. One half of my family are Packer fans and I'm seeing FB posts like, "Didn't Aaron Rodgers tell us to "relax" at the beginning of the year. He's going to eat his words!" It just shows it's all relative.
  15. Have you heard of a river in Egypt? I will not try to have a debate with somebody who cannot see their own biases and logical fallacies.
  16. I've never said this. Worst poster ever. I'm not about to defend Orton's game today. Abysmal. Don't get caught up in one game though fellas. He's 40-38 as a starter in the NFL and 6-4 with the Bills. As I said, certainly not premiere, but you can win some games with him. Now I'll let the less than intelligent posters focus in on one game.
  17. Thank you. I am not a Fitz hater. The man did put it on the line. However, he threw a lot of picks too. He also had a weaker arm and had to do the longest wind up in the NFL to make up for it. His size hurt him as well. Orton has nearly prototypical size at 6' 4" 230. I'll take Orton.
  18. Firstly, to answer your question, I have watched every game and every play of the year. Secondly, he is winning in Buffalo. He's 5-4. Name the last Bills QB who had a record over .500. Thirdly, he heas faced far more than his share of top defenses. No this is not a weak excuse. These are the defenses he's faced and their corresponding defensive rank. #2 - Lions #4 - Broncos #6 - Miami #7 - New York #8 - Kansas City #12 - Minnesota #13 - New England #20 - Cleveland That is freaking brutal. I think that takes care of all your points.
  19. I agree that he is not the ultimate answer at quarterback. He is not a premiere QB. He is pretty good. After going through years of JP Losman and Trent Edwards, be careful what you wish for. This guy can move the ball and distribute to playmakers at least. He's only 31. Keep him around until we legitimately have a franchise guy.
  20. The story of Kyle Orton's career is he is a pretty good player, however, for some reason, nobody wants him. This trend has continued in Buffalo with Bills fans. I live in Indiana which is where Purdue University is (Orton's alma mater). My two brothers and sister-in-law went to school there when Orton was the quarterback. Because of this, I have followed his career more closely than most. Firstly, I want to dismiss the idea that I am biased toward Orton for this reason. I actually despise Purdue. I went to Indiana University out of high school and Purdue is our rival. Orton followed Drew Brees at Purdue and was a very good college QB. However, because he followed Brees he was underappreciated even at Purdue. Orton was drafted by the Bears in the early 4th round. He started 15 games as a rookie and won 10. Yes, I know, the Bears defense was great then. However, he was a rookie, came in and made good decisions as a game manager and did what was necessary to win games. They benched him 2 games before the playoffs began in favor of Rex Grossman who was coming off injury. The Bears lost their first game in the postseason with Grossman at the helm. Orton saw zero game action the next year placed on the third string behind Grossman and Griese. In his third year with the Bears, with three games left, he was given the starting role again finally. He went 2-1 in the final three games. In his 4th year with the Bears, he entered the season competing against Grossman for the starting role. He won the starting role. He went 8-7 as a starter, missing one game for injury. They missed the playoffs by one game. After this year, he was expecting to come back to the starting role he left in Chicago. He was traded to Denver for Cutler. In his first year with Denver (2009-2010), he went 8-8 with pretty good statistics. In his 2nd year, he started 13 games. Their record was not good, however his statistics were pretty good. He had an 87.5 passer rating for the year. The Broncos coach was fired midseaon and Tebowmania began when he had a poor game late in the season. The interim coach benched Orton in favor of Tebow for the final three games. In his third year, he started poorly and the chants for Tebow immediately reached a fever pitch. He went 1-4 as starter this year with a 75.4 rating. He ended up with 49 touchdowns, 28 interceptions and almost 5,000 yards in 2.5 season with the Broncos. He was cut by the Broncos. The Chiefs claimed him off waivers. Two other teams tried to claim him but the Chiefs had the worst record. With three games to go in the season, Orton was named the starter. In hist 1st game, he beat the then undefeated Packers in weak 15 of the NFL season. He went 2-1 as a starter for the Chiefs. The Chiefs didn't resign him. He has been backing up Tony Romo (a yearly pro bowler) in the previous two years. In the limited time he has had to come in for Romo he has performed. Dallas knew he had value and really wanted to keep him as backup to Romo. However, clearly he did not want to stay and back up Romo. He is now in Buffalo. He has a QB rating of 89.2 despite playing a disproportionate number of highly ranked defenses. He has over 2,300 yards and a 2-1 TD-Interception ration. Sadly, the story of Orton's career continues in Buffalo. Orton performs pretty well but is not wanted. Is he a tier one franchise QB? Of course not. However, I think Buffalo (like everywhere else) is not appreciating Orton for what he is. Orton can win in Buffalo. Don't run him out of town.
  21. I definitely want him resigned but it seems for every sack he has, he also has a penalty that costs us significantly. I bet this comes up at the negotiating table.
  22. I'm taking this as a compliment. We must really be good if we get bashed when we don't win in a certain manner. If I had the time, I would love to document all of the claims and opinions of Jerry Sullivan throughout the year or even over a five year period. Then at the end of it, use exact quotes of to show his massive contradictions in opinions over time. The man would lose all credibility if someone did this and put it in a simple document. I judge a man by his character and how he has impacted others. By the impact standards, Jerry is a bad person.
  23. Get him. I'm dead serious. If there is a reasonable chance he can become a franchise QB with a fresh start, then get him. Period. Get it done. I like Orton too. I still think EJ has a chance. However, you must maximize your chances at getting a long term answer when it presents itself.
