  1. Indeed I am. Leads the team in tackles. Putting pressure on the QB now that he is allowed to rush. Overall quite solid.
  2. Yup, and he knows it. As long as there was no penalty flag, I'm good. I don't care how he spends his money. I thought it was funny.
  3. Please, please, please! That would take care of quite a few nimrods on The Wall.
  4. Those teams didn't tank games, they played all out. They stunk. You specifically mentioned tanking and judging by your context, it sounds like you want the team to plan to lose on purpose. What did you really mean?
  5. You actually resorted to "I know you are, but what am I?" As usual, you are in over your head here.
  6. This might be worse than wanting the team to lose. The vast majority of next year's players will also be next year's players, even if the Bills have the busiest off season ever and every draft pick starts (which won't happen). Can you imagine the difficulty a HC will have trying to motivate players who were asked to tank games the previous season, or those who suspect the coaches purposefully tanked games with their calls and substitutions? The lengths some of you go to to defend rooting for losses is absurd.
  7. I give me that right! I referred to "true and rational fans". There may be some who call themselves true fans and root for the Bills to lose. I would argue they are not rational.
  8. To be fair, he has played against some quality programs this year: http://www.gostanford.com/sports/m-footbl/sched/stan-m-footbl-sched.html USC, UCLA, CAL and Oregon aren't exactly JuCo programs. And San Jose State isn't on this year's schedule.
  9. Spin? That's what you got? Care to spin it some other way, given the data at hand?
  10. My point, worded more succinctly.
  11. I have, on think on all occasions in this thread, referred to people who root for the Bills to lose...not any particular poster. You chose, for some reason, to challenge my position about those people. I never changed the way I referred to those people. You should only take offense if you are one of them.
  12. Whitner had another fine game, all around. He's having a quietly very good year. I read somewhere McKelvin gave up the touchdown pass to TO after he fell down to allow the long pass completion to TO a play earlier. From what I saw, while McKelvin was lined up opposite TO on the touchdown pass, but was not responsible for his coverage when he released to the middle. That was on Byrd, I believe.
  13. Where in the world did I express hopelessness for having the opportunity to draft the QB of our choice? I believe rooting for loses as payment for that opportunity suggests hopelessness.
  14. Not among true and rational fans who want the team to win EVERY week, no matter who the competition. We don't need to wait for any specific victory to be happy with a victory.
  15. Certainly not about the drivers either, which is where the South Park episode I was referencing missed the mark, IMO.
  16. Luck may not even come out this year. Losing to perhaps be in a position to take a guy that might come out, is a piss-poor strategy and reflects the mindset of someone who has given up. Has no hope. Lacks vision.
  17. Yeah, sorry about my role in that. But that's how it works here on Off The Wall.
  18. You notice how the guys that start threads like this very rarely come back to them to take their lumps? I am tempted to read the game thread today. I can only imagine how many posts in the first half turn out to bite the poster in the ass. The morons really expose themselves on days like this.
  19. I know I am poor enough, but apparently not stupid enough, to enjoy NASCAR. Congrats to Jimmie Johnson.
  20. You know the difference between "cut" and "trade" right? I can't tell from your post.
  21. The best predictor of winning next year is winning this year. don't believe me? Compare the records of teams in year A and compare them to year B. Does winning in year A correlate better with wining in year B, or does losing enough to get the #1 or #2 draft pick correlate better with winning in year B? What about year C? If you don't think the Bills are smart enough to find an impact player at #2, #4, #9, #10, etc, what makes you think they will make the right decision at #1. The "lose to get a better draft pick" crowd is made up (I believe) of people who have essentially given up. People with no hope. People who lack vision.
  22. Dude? I am going to have to check this out. Thanks.
  23. Damn is it Stupid Thirty already? How time flies.
