  1. Picked by the vast majority of "experts" to win. Beat the Patriots last week. Their fans sure think they are a shoe-in to win. If it comes to how the teams treat this game, well there is simply no excuse for the Bills having a down week. They have too much to play for this week,
  2. I'm with you on thinking TO isn't the best place for an NFL team. But if they want to expand there, they will have no problem doing so, The International border makes these two distinctly different markets. The size of the combined markets is more than big enough to support two teams (though I would have an issue with an AFC team in TO). The Oakland situation provides precedent. You know what I think is crazy? The 49ers have been relocated with nary a peep. The are now the San Jose 49ers. Is nobody complaining? Granted Candlestick Park was a horrendous football stadium, but to move nearly an hour away seems a bit drastic. I understand San Jose has many more people than San Francisco, but the are the SF 49ers, are they not? This would be like moving the Bills to Hamilton (without the border issue) and still calling them the Buffalo Bills. I wonder why more people aren't complaining.
  3. But in this case, we'd be talking about the Buffalo-Toronto market. You said so yourself, right? The TO market has over 5 Million people. I believe the Toronto-Buffalo market is bigger than the SF market. I may be wrong, but I bet it's close.
  4. Good question. I wonder if there has been a QB with less pocket presence and mobility than Bledsoe.
  5. How do you explain San Francisco and Oakland? The Giants and the Jets? The LA---or yeah, never mind. I don't think Toronto is a football time or can/will support a team,. But I can think of no reason why an NFC team can't be put there.
  6. This is simply not the case. We like to think it is, as the Bills have done a very good job of cultivating the Toronto market. But they are, in reality, two completely distinct markets for virtually all commercial purposes. The International border assures that. Now if Toronto and Buffalo were in the same country, they would likely be in the same market.
  7. Perfect! Makes me feel great, Ok,, now I feel crappy again.
  8. Not really. We never had confirmation their promise to the Trust was as empty as Bon Jovi's letter in the Snooze. This was the stake in the heart of the TO group, after they had been splashed with holy water, touched by a cross and exposed to daylight,
  9. As good as Tampopo? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tampopo
  10. Worry about "what is to be"? Now you have me worried!
  11. No North Star in London? I have no first hand experience, but here are few suggestions I found with a quick search. I suppose you already know there, but just in case: http://www.sportsbarandgrill.co.uk/ According to the Huffington Post they show NFL games. http://www.thecasino...berg-sports-bar Casino sports bar that supposedly shows the NFL http://www.yelp.com/...ican sports bar Reviewers report watching NFL games http://www.belushis....n-bridge-dugout All NFL games! Just try to remember to root for the Bills.
  12. "pretzel logic" indeed. The JBJ group was doomed from the word "go". But obviously from what we now know, they were never even a possibility.
  13. I don't find you particularly negative. But "positive" and especially "humble" are two words I can't believe were ever applied to you. That's some good stuff right there. To paraphrase the great Bugs Bunny line: She don't know me very well, do she?
  14. C'mon there is always someone around. When I got a relatively small allowance from my parents, I would hire younger kids to mow the lawn for less than what I was getting. I hated lawn work.
  15. Perhaps it's just the way I think, but I don't find Tom particularly negative.
  16. Mmmmm meatballs. TBDAHOT??? Thanks for the update, guys. And I guess I vote Mrags does whatever he thinks is prudent. He's still optimistic!
  17. I just got a blank search form. Are you telling me to find out for myself? What good are you mooks to me, if I have to do everything myself? Put some happy little trees over here...
  18. When not at the game, that is always my preference, too. But since the Jacksonville stations always seem to show the Jags (I don't get it, either ) I will have to go out into the world, or the firstrowsports thing, which I reserve for desperation. The bar within crawling distance to my condo has all the game. Bill fans get a TV with sound downstairs. Problem is there are a few annoying Bills fans (one woman in particular who talks to you the entire game and doesn't really watch the game) and annoying Jag fans at the adjacent table. I typically go upstairs, by myself, and watch the game a one of the smaller bar TVs-no sound. Great bartender (cool chick, Dolphins fan). Pretty good rival fans to jaw with. Typically that's fine for me. Problem is tomorrow I want to actually hear the game. Do I suck it up and sit downstairs and tell the annoying people to s$ut the f#ck up---again? Seems like that starts the experience on the wrong note, for me. I have other options, but all come with a downside. I have a friend with the NFL ticket, but he is in Buffalo at the game. This is the first game in quite awhile I have had to make a decision where to watch the game. Issues.... OK, decision made. Driving to Wing It in Jacksonville to watch the game. Just called and the Bills will have the sound. Funny thing, relatives of mine started this bar many years ago. Sold it awhile back, but has remained a Buffalo bar,. I still have yet to visit, No beef on weck anymore (probably a good thing, if you know my position on crappy beefs) but the wings are supposed to be good. PSYCHED! Now to find a designated driver...
  19. Just remember to add vodka!
  20. Koolaid drinking homer!
