Irrespective of what he did in college, it is what he is beginning to do in the pros that is at question here. If you let your memories of him in college influence your analysis of his play now, you simply aren't doing it properly. Some guys regress when the hit the pros. Others continue to develop. That's why some undrafted free agents become solid pro players. How could EVERY team be wrong? Sometimes they just are, that's why. Put what you previously thought about EJ behind you. That's really history that has no meaning in the NFL. Forget you din't agree with where the Bills drafted him. It means about nothing in the final analysis. Evaluate him on his own merits without the baggage or, quite frankly, the bulls#it.

Talk about not getting it done if the red zone. With that said, Jason Peters is just abusing the defense. I'm not complaining as Glenn has been great. I wonder if he could keep up that pace. I'm actually kind of shocked Peters can.

Who was the idiot that posted Fred's runs were "boring". That guy was a moron! Who cares if a play is exciting? I'm happy with it being effective! Hell, fumbles can be exciting. Fred is a solid and skilled back, who is best working inside. But he does have good hands and, overlooked by some, he is a very effective and willing pass blocker. These are things you look for in a veteran back. Fred is actually pretty decent on the screen,. But I agree CJ is more dynamic in the open field. I hope to see us use them more effectively as the season progresses.

Isn't Rivers likely out for another week? I know he is officially day-to-day (as are we all) but I read two weeks somewhere, I think.

Preston played every defensive down, two weeks in a row. He also played 100% of the special team snaps. In short order, this guy will have more gameday experience than many 2nd and 3rd year pros. Opps: Wrong about the special teams snaps.

A couple-three times in the past two weeks, the Bills had a nice flair toss (not exactly a screen) to Fred. And Fred had a lot of space, with one man the beat---and got tackled by that man. Not bashing Fredex here in any way. Guy is a warrior with no quit. And, as has been pointed out, he tends to get the 2-3 extra yards on runs up the middle. but that flair pass seems perfectly suited to Spiller, IMO. With one guy to beat, in the open field, i like CJs chances. Hopefully we'll see that go for some big yardage soon.
