  1. Indeed. My bad. You sure? Beerball is pretty solid on this stuff.
  2. No I was not. But I doubt Simon banned anyone for doing "nothing". IMO, Simon is good people. Anyway I was just teasing, as your banning (and most of your presence here) was during my "dark period". I only really knew of you due to the "Should Mr Rags..." threads. Lighten up. I thought it was a humorous comeback. Apparently I was wrong.
  3. So were you. No?
  4. Accidentally quoted your post, Mr Rags. Sorry
  5. My source is pretty good, and has a close ear to the Bills operation. I haven't yet found if he said they "made an offer" but it's clear they negotiated right til the end. If they didn't offer (and I believe it was a mistake if they didn't) it was likely because they knew he was going to take the best offer available. Either way, would it have mattered? Do you believe the Bills should have topped the Titans' offer?
  6. I always liked you. But adios! One doesn't decide on "his team" based on their fortunes, if he is a true fan. Good luck with whatever team you decide to follow, for a time, as long as they meet your expectations. I'm sure you will find many fair weather fans you can bond with.
  7. While I tend to agree some top college programs are as, or more, prestigious than some pro jobs, the prestige is in the eye of the beholder. What is prestigious to one man, might not even register to another. For many I'm sure being in the top pro league simply cannot be matched. While for others, being the biggest man on campus. revered for the most part, is a bigger draw. Would you rather have a big role in shaping these quality young athletes into men? Or does leading the best football players in the world, men for the most part, in their profession float your boat? Tough call I think. It's a huge payday either way.
  8. Are you certain of this? I'll have to dig back through some old correspondence, but I recall my "source" telling me the Bills were quite interested in keeping Andy. My recollection is they did offer him a contract, but perhaps I'm mistaken in that. I know he said they were miles apart on money, and that Andy was not looking to give a hometown discount and anxious to test the market. Perhaps they opted to not offer a contract they knew he would refuse. I'd offer it anyway, but that's my style. Maybe it would be better than he thought and some negotiation could get the deal done. You never actually know if you don't make the offer. But if he was intent on taking the highest offer, no matter what team made it, then I'm glad the Bills didn't spend more than the stupid money the Titans paid. I'd take him back, though, at the right price.
  9. Hard to believe he got hurt when it all happened so slowly.
  10. Schlub or MyGroin? Carr with start, but will he finish?
  11. "There's geometry behind this!" I KNEW it! Geometry!
  12. He has two more years, right? I'd wait until next year, just to be sure.
  13. These should actually make the job more appealing and more prestigious, IMO. Michigan isn't what it used to be in national competitiveness, but it's still a top level college job. Well, let's say a high-level job. But with the right guy, at the right time, poised to be top level once again. I get a feeling the college game is in for a seismic shift, though I thought it would have happened by now. With more college programs being exposed for recruiting violations and embarrassingly bad education experiences, there is something to be said for those schools who perform well, and stay out of the troubled headlines. Doug seems like a guy who would be drawn more to a program like Michigan than a mid-level SEC school, IMO. With that said, I hope the Bills don't have to go through another HC change this offseason.
  14. That seems like a long time to wait for wings.
  15. Fault really isn't an issue and beside the point, I think.
  16. Honestly, I really didn't think the Bills would make the playoffs before this game, so I am not crushed. And if the odd event the Bills make the playoffs this year, I don't expect them to go far. So yes, I'd prefer they make the playoffs, but if they win out, I will be plenty happy. The playoffs were mostly meaningless this year.
  17. Mini camp has nothing to do with knowing to throw the ball away before taking a sack. And if he had more skills he wouldn't be a career journeyman backup. I don't deny that camp didn't affect his performance, but that isn't what I'm talking about.
  18. I'm in my championship fantasy football game this weekend. (We don't play week 17 because too many teams sit their starters.) Novak is on my bench this week. If he make this FG and I lose a a few, it will be the ultimate Bills fan experience.
  19. Holy crap. Can't blame Kap for that. (Too bad)
  20. Oh I've seen him make many veteran plays. Sorry if I suggested otherwise. But at this stage in his career, I expect him to make fewer errors I expect from inexperienced QBs. i know he doesn't have the talent of some QBs, so to make up for it he should play smarter. No?
