  1. Hate to piss in the Cherios, but keep in mind it is the first preseason game. Not too much stunting and blitzing going on. but so far, so good
  2. Bryce can run. No doubt about it.
  3. Especially n the first preseason game.
  4. This really isn't al that vanilla. Maybe Madagascar Bourbon?
  5. I do'nt want to see too much of that in preseason. But, yes. very nice
  6. Happens all the time. Rarely gets called. CB had to deal with it.
  7. Not at all. And can't use offensive PI as an excuse, as it gets called so rarely
  8. Indeed. He had Kenny Ladler tackling McCoy on the first drive.
  9. Indeed. He's almost never right
  10. Me neither. But if EJ would have thrown it. there would be a lot of complaining.
  11. "Textbook" Yeah, right. Not sure a QB playing like that can stay healthy for a season. But is is fun to watch.
  12. Worst part of this game is Tasker. Preseason for the announcers too, I guess. Also was a bit bummed Roman didn't let Cassel take a shot into the end zone on that second drive. It's presason---let him wing it! Not complaining about the performance so far, though. QB problem? What QB problem? I know, first preseason game. I'm not THAT stupid.
  13. Yes, this story is a year old. We discussed it last year. Someone will post it next year, and the year after that, etc. Every year we can all share our stadium drunk stories all over again.
  14. Nice. I'm all for it.
  15. I stand corrected. Well played!
  16. I think this is something that we don't know (or at least I don't know) yet. Maybe he had been hounding Geno for the cash, while the guy is still reeling from losing a friend. The last thing you really want is some guy breathing down your neck after your friend dies. I mean, yes he owes the guy $600, and can certainly afford it. But give the guy a bit of space. Now I don't know that's what happened. But while I have no real respect for Geno, it is hard to believe this was a one-incident thing. Sounds like it may have been the result of more than one conversation. If a couple cameras didn't catch Ray Rice bashing his wife... If Adrian Peterson's son didn't have welts on his body... Your point? Well, maybe if the guy did his damage, to players on the opposing teams, on the field, you'd have a point. This guy delivers his hits in the locker room, to his own teammates. See the issue now?
  17. Yes, the editing really destroys the sense of the entire set delivered by any one comic. So, you may like the few jokes shown from one comic, and the rest of their set may have been crap. OTOH, while you might have thought the few jokes from another comic were just OK, their full set might have been better than the comic you initially thought was funnier. And, as CBF mentioned, the producers of this show have an agenda---plus they are the editors aren't comedians. As for the young lady from Harvard, I think everyone liked her a lot. But she was just getting started, and a bit raw. They probably didn't think she had what it took to deliver set after set, at this stage.
  18. I'd say nothing good ever happens before 10 AM. But then again, I worked the midnight shift in college, then it started a bit earlier.
  19. Nice Irv quote! I think his chance of actually making the team is slim, but i suppsoe it could happen. The whole "building a bully" quote might come to haunt Rex. Bully's are essentially cowards. They pick on the weak and cower to those stronger. Building a team that "won't be bullied" or "stands up to bullies" makes FAR more sense to me. Not only because we have (smartly) become a very anti-bully society, but also because if/when something happens that catches the Commissioner's eye, this could be used as evidence that it was institutional. I think, well I hope, Rex did this as a sign to the Jets. As more, or less, a joke. Chances are, this guy won't even be available to the Bills this year. But if reports of a $600.000 signing bonus are true, it's a pretty expensive joke, if they have to pay it. I disagree. A violent action should only be in response to another violent action. Civil humans to not resort to violence due to some sort of slight. And I'm Sicilian!
  20. He didn't even contact me. But then again, if he had his zipper down, I don't think I missed much.
  21. So far, I think this year's crop has been fairly good. The first show was awesome for a first show, of this type. And while I think Jeselnik is a way better stand up comic than last year's, JB Smoove. JB was probably a better host for the show. I still have a problem with them including established stand up comics with those who are totally undiscovered. But whatever, I guess. As long as the comedy is good.
