  1. Agreed. I think he's really going to thrive in this defense. Leodis is safe for this year. But isn't it a bit too early to write Darby off (if that is indeed what you are doing)?
  2. Good for him. I never cared for him, but I wish the old guy well.
  3. What's Harvin's excuse? I'm not saying bulking up can't help a bit, I'm just saying with his frame and the way he plays, injury is always a going to be an issue.
  4. He had PLENTY of help, IMO. But he isn't faultless, if that's what you mean.
  5. I hope you are wrong. Not about Dareus and Gilmore, but about the rest. I'd like to think we can keep Bradham at least---or one of the other three.
  6. I agree they aren't scary. But either can be interesting. In this case, Aylmer's real menace isn't his looks. And if you've never seen Brain Damage, I recommend it---preferable with a buzz on.
  7. If Rex doesn't have an issue with him missing a bit of time to compete in the PanAm games, then neither do I. If he actually misses part of a season to go to the Olympics, that's another story. But that's a maybe, and in the future. But this has nothing to do with him being injured. He gets injured mostly because of his slight stature. Might he bet a bit more muscular if he didn't compete in track? Maybe slightly, but nothing to really change the dynamics. I don't see him shying away from contact on the field to protect his track career. I really see this as a non-issue if his coaches and teammates are on board. Guys who don't seem committed to the team are typically ostracized by the team--and I haven't seen that in Marquise's case. And Tasker butchers more than just the language. Anyone would be a fool to give him any inside info they are trying to keep secret. And for the record, I think Goodwin is a bubble guy who just might be done with the team, and I'm fine with that. But I don't think his track interests play into it too much.
  8. I never could figure why Easly didn't get more playing time at WR. Whenever I see him get any real time (always the preseason) he performs. Then he vanishes. I suppose it could be route running, as suggested earlier in the thread (he certainly looks to have decent hands and that shouldn't change between preseason and regular season). That would make sense and explain, to a degree, why he looks good in preseason but not in games. But does he look BAD in games? Is he dropping passes or just not getting open? I'm starting to think he has been pigeonholed since his early career, and just not considered a real WR. It would be nice if he can be an actual option at WR this season.
  9. Or maybe for the 100th time (conservative estimate). Oh, maybe you meant the first time by you. Sorry.
  10. Reasonable? I'm sorry for the insult.
  11. That's what I mean. Giving EJ the benefit of the doubt or recognizing he has talent and has been hindered by poor coaching/O-line/etc apparently makes on an EJ groupie in the eyes of some.
  12. Scariest? Dunno. I don't find these CGI monsters scary at all. My favorite monster/alien might be Elmer...er, the Aylmer from Brain Damage.
  13. Actually, I see far more anti-EJ bias than so-called groupies. There are many here who think they are QB evaluation experts who can guarantee EJ will never be a competent QB in the NFL. They seem to think one bad pass in otherwise great outings disqualifies him from having the ability to start for the Bills. I'm on board with TT getting the starting nod, but I think EJ played as well as a QB can play, this preseason. I'm happy with either getting the start.
  14. I think that's a bit unfair, but it is true the guy is frail and can be injured more easily than a guy with more bulk. But isn't Harvin similar in his propensity to get injured from any contact? The "doesn't take football seriously" though, IMO, is complete BS.
  15. Yes, a well known slacker. But some of these guys, as they get a bit older and lose a step/bit of strength, get a bit more serious about the game. Especially in the right team atmosphere. Ralph proved he would spend the $, if he really trusted his GM/HC and the team was good enough to go far. He seemed less willing to spend when those conditions didn't present themselves, IMO.
  16. Truth is, he's the one who should have the OFFICIAL announcement first. I'd also trust Wawrow with any early info, if he says he knows it to be true, and not just a report from some unnamed source. JW doesn't deal in gossip and I think he doesn't need to claim to have a scoop. It's really a one out of three (and maybe two) guess, so some of these hacks might try to grab the glory on a guess. If they are right they get to say "I was the first to report...".
  17. Is he know to be lazy, or are you just guessing. Truthfully I do not know his rep.
  18. I just noticed this. Nice. Well, certainly the bongingist.
  19. Actually, Cassel. The clipboard holder should, IMO, be an experienced, vet who plays a conservative/safe game---effecitve in the short passing game. And, if you think Cassel makes too much money to be a #2/3 what would RGIII do to the salary structure?
  20. Turnovers? I prefer blueberry.
