  1. Fair enough, and I get it. But to ME, based solely on the preseason games, I believe EJ was the better to the two, by a slim margin. But my point was, I don't think there is any real controversy here, even for those who thought EJ played better in preseason (like me). There was a statement that this was divisive to Bills fans. I really don't think it is. Both QBs played well, and TT brings that something extra to the position. TT got the nod from Roman and Rex. I'm good with that. Amen. brother.
  2. I believe they HAVE earned it. But you can't really totally develop as a RB without playing. They are ready. Fred is probably more valuable as a backup to Marshawn (at a much more affordable salary), than he is on the Bills this season. Can't you manage to understand that? Even if you don't agree, can't you wrap your head around that concept?
  3. I believe it was likely exactly like that. Like I said, I was surprised he didn't sign with the Bills as he seems to have a connection with Rex. But I'm not shocked and I get the reasons he might pick another team. As it turns out, we get the trick shot QB on the PS.
  4. Indeed. I kind of think EJ played the best in preseason, but can see the additional something TT brings to the table. They both had sensational preseason performances, though. (I know TT always looks very good in preseason, and EJ does at times as well.) But I don't really see a divided fan base, this year (with the exception of some message board outliers). Most seem to be solidly behind TT as the starter--even those who might have preferred EJ. As far as I can tell, the fan base is more united and behind the QB situation at OBD than it has been in 10 years or so. Now, let's see what happens when the games start counting.
  5. I notice this video was posted in a quickly closed thread. I hadn't seen it before, and it is quite interesting (if long: 48 minutes). I'll post the Vimeo video and not the WRG link: Apologies if this has already been posted a number of times.
  6. Charlize looks real cute in anything (and without anything). Best looking woman I ever saw in person. (But then she was 20-22 then.)
  7. I think we have to be a little concerned (but not worried) about the O-line, if more than one or two starters go down. Is that par for the course for most teams? Yes, I think so. But the Bills situation may be a bit more dire, in backup skill level. Perhaps TT makes that situation a bit more palatable, though, as he could help disguise the weakness. But if he becomes a victim of that weakness, then is it EJ behind a bad line again? That's one of my biggest concerns.
  8. Are you still on this insufferable campaign to slander Whaley? Isn't it crystal clear this was a Bills management decision by now, and had noting to do with Doug's "ego"? Seriously if you still believe that, you really are out to lunch. Now I can understand about being upset Fred is no longer with the team---I am upset---at least a bit. As a fan, he was one of my favorite players. But most here aren't defaming Freddie, by saying the team may be in better position without him. Sometimes a player has more value for one team than another. The Bills have some young talented backs, they would like to give some playing time. They need them to get reps, and develop as complete backs. With Fred on the roster, they weren't likely to get the work they need. And, with Fred on the roster, a nice chunk of money was tied up on an older player, in the last stages of his career. Is he still good? Yes, indeed. But he is more fragile, and if the Bills can use that money to keep younger players, at positions where it is harder to find talent than RB, than it is probably a good move for the team, IMO. It's OK if you disagree with the conclusions the Bills brain trust has reached regarding Fred. That's part of being a Bills fan. But this incessant, immature, whiny little crusade is embarrassing for to you, or it should be, if you have any self-respect.
  9. Really? It's uncouth? My word. Well then, thank goodness they didn't keep him. We can't have that and we shan't have that.
  10. Lester Hayes was less eloquent, but was an awesome player.
  11. Has this been taken down? I don't see anything there like this. (Did I mention how much I hate Twitter's interface?)
  12. Absolutely. And if any coach gave them instructions to do so, he should be charged as well. Anyone involved should be kicked off the team and not allowed to play for the rest of their tenure in high-school. Any coach involved should never be able to coach kids again. Some have suggested they be expelled from school, but I'm not sure about that. I think getting these bozos an education might be a good thing. And if the Ref actually made a racist remark, that needs to be addressed, too. Though I think that was a convenient lie to defend their actions---but I don't know for sure. But this isn't how you go about dealing with a racist remark, if it is true.
  13. I have several friends who always wanted to go---then finally went (not all the same time). Everyone of them says they will never go again. Some say it was a good experience--but once is enough. Others say the entire event was a giant pain in the ass. It probably was a bit better before it became such a mainstream thing to do.
  14. Hoped he cleaned it up, afterwards.
  15. I hope so. But it's the game that counts, not the accoutrements. With that said, the visor has practical value. The diamonds in the mouthpiece? Not so much. But like I said, who really gives a s#it? Now I know about Aaron Williams mouthpiece and Mario's contact lenses. Seriously I should stay out of this thread, as I couldn't care less about this stuff.
  16. I do my best to help us make the quota. And apparently so does John Mullins.
  17. Gotcha. Man do I hate the Twitter interface
  18. Cripple Fight!!!
  19. What is this in response to?

  21. Well, he was, until he signed to Atlanta's PS. I figured he would sign with the Bills---that he didn't is a bit of a surprise to me. Not offered a PS spot? Any QB the Bills sign needs to be PS eligible, IMO, as that is where they need him to be. The one possible exception I could think of, is if Cassel comes back to the roster, at cents-on-the-dollar to his original contract.
  22. Not sure how this relates, in any way, to the rest of the thread. Fancy mouthpiece = confidence? I wonder how Luck gets it done? Ditto. But it really isn't a "Buffalo" kind of move. It is bold, I tell you. If he plays great, half the town will be wearing diamonds and magnets in their mouths. OTOH, Bills fans can be pretty rough on QBs. Any perceived failure, and that mouthpiece becomes a symbol. Truth is, it's the kind of thing I'd rather not know about.
