1. colts.com - Playing to Win

Nothing new here, but this quote clarifies Dungy's thoughts on the Sun/Sat thing a bit.

The possibility of playing a first-round game the following Saturday likely will influence his decision on how long to play players more than the possibility of key players being injured, Dungy said.

“I don’t worry about that so much,” Dungy said. “If I can get a feel about whether we’re playing (the opening-round playoff game) on Saturday or Sunday, that will weigh in to it a little bit more than any injuries. Going out there and then having to turn around and play on Saturday, that would go into my decision-making. But if we’re fairly certain we’re going to play on Sunday, we’ll treat it as a normal game.”

    Cool login name, man.

I've seen that somewhere before, methinks.

  2. How much should the US give?  The US should be the leaders in foreign aid and not only give when we have something to gain.  If Phuket had oil we would be more generous.

    That's completely disingenuous.

    Not to mention ridiculous.

By the time we're finished, we'll have outspent other nations by 3-4 fold. Get a grip.

  3. Sorry guys, but I don't believe it at all. The Colts don't want to play the Bills, and they really don't want to get banged up. Maybe if this game was in Indy, but it is in cold, snowy Denver.

Don't loose faith though. The ponies can play pretty poorly from time to time -- I'm thinking this could be time.

You have to do something about that pessimism problem of yours ;)

  4. I do yoga. It's really cool. And yes, there are. I once popped a you know what right in class, because the babe in front of me was bending in some hot positions. She saw it, and saw "awww, how cute." I was mortified.

    LMFAO...

  5. After week 4, I decided to downgrade the season from TV to radio. I mean, I'm a diehard Bills fan, but I was spending 4 hours away from my family and spending 20$ to eat and drink in a bar watching those pathetic games (too many trees for DirecTV). So I decided to stay home with the family, do some home projects every week, and listen to all the games on Sirius.

That worked OK, but then I cracked for the NE Sunday night game, and we know what happened.

So, even though I am desperate to see the Bills play this weekend, I will be faithfully huddled around my radio.

I can't promise I'll keep this up if they make the playoffs, but I can do it for one more week.

BTW, I am not even a little superstitious about anything but the Bills. Another in-game superstition I have is to not pee when things are going well (holding the good water inside), and always pee when things are going poorly (get rid of the bad water). I can't explain any of this, but it works.

    What are your superstitions?

I'm in trouble with my superstition.

Every week for the past 3 months or so, I eat french onion soup and 20 wings at the start of each game. This week I'll be in the lot, neurotically obsessing about my pregame ritual :o

  6. Night before the Steelers game

If we have enough I'll arrnge to have one of the lofts in the bar room so you all can eat your wings sitting down and then drink standing at the bar.

Danny's is kid friendly in the loft.  I only plan on being there from 8-10

It depends what time we get in to East Aurora.

  7. Against that Titans D ON THE ROAD, we were ready to WIN, and like it or not, RJ did his part...

Without a shoe, no less. Had they won that game, that play would be in every highlight reel ever produced by NFL films.

  8. Well, yes, but then again look at CLE.

And I find the Rams to be closer aligned to CLE than MIA or NE.  There's already doubt from players in Martz, and I'm afraid there are guys who might give up on him given that he might be on his way out.

I'd just rather have both the Rams and Jets playing for a playoff spot rather than just the Jets.

    179807

yet those same players could be playing for jobs with other teams, too. It works both ways. Have some faith.

  9. I'm pretty sure the Rams are out of the playoffs if the lose against Philly tomorrow, right?  Assuming that's the case, I think the biggest thing we need to hope for is a win tomorrow...if the Rams are out of the playoffs by Week 17, we are in trouble.

hold on one sec....these guys are PROs....take a look at miami and NE.

  10. doing an up-and-back for the Steelers game on Sunday?

I plan to leave at approximately 4am on Sunday morning, which will put me at One Bills Drive at approximately 10:30am - enough time to have a burger or two.

Will watch the game, then head home directly afterwards.  Should put me home by 11:30pm.

A crazy day, but the result could be very well worth it.  Regardless, it'll probably be my last opportunity to attend a Bills game for 8-9 months, so I'm going to enjoy it.

    179637

I'll be there with the Mrs....but we're arriving Sat nite, later.

  11. If I were coach of the Indianapolis Colts I would tank the game against the Broncos to keep the Bills out of the playoffs.

Peyton got his record and they have no rest since they play against a wild card team.  I hate to say it, but we  need the Rams to beat NYJ.

    179660

Dungy would NEVER tank a game, NEVER.

Guy's got WAY too much heart and fire for that.
