1. Didn't Reagan run up record deficits during his tenure?

Didn't Bush just pour 200 billion dollars into a military project?

Sorry, but I'm still failing to see any appreciable difference here.

Yes, but on things the gov't is SUPPOSED to spend money on: Military, etc...

He funded a war, not a buildup.

  2. A rare agreement from me. Bush is a big government, big-spending, deficit ignoring Socialist. He's only a Republican because that's who endorsed him. If he was a Democrat, the Republicans would skewer him for his fiscal irresponsibility.

I would LOVE nothing more than a Bush loss, and for the Conservatives to demand something better from their reps. Do you think McCain/Guiliani would lose to John friggin' Kerry? You guys can do better than Bush.

YOU GUYS? I'm a registered Libertarian. Voted lib for everything BUT president. Only because the thought of John Kerry as president terrifies me, not that I'm 100% a Bush man.

  3. I just checked MSNBC, Fox, and CNN and none of them are mentioning exit polls or makign predictions...so at least THEY are calling it a day yet...

EXACTLY, these are all numbers reported on BLOGS. BLOGS!!!

How anyone can believe the numbers coming from a BLOG is beyond me, but...

On a side note, I think the networks are frothing at the mouth to put this stevestojan out there, but are so wary of being burned again....

  4. Pardon a thick-headed question from a political neophyte, but how exactly are Reagan and BushII so radically different?

    97318

Hugley. Bush is a big spending "conservative"

Reagan had the balls to snip the dead weight from the gov't and shift it to the military.

  5. Not to mention that the 'Main Steam Media' have shown themselves to be quite biased in trying to show 'exit polls' that paint their chosen boy as the winner (I'll leave you to figure out who that is, he usually has a -D next to his name) to try and keep people away from the polls thinking their vote will no longer count.

    I cannot say this enough:

THERE IS NO WAY KERRY WINS PA BY 20.

It will not happen. The Dems could barely elect a Dem to the mayorship of Philly, and they're gonna beat Bush by 20%?

I laugh in their general direction.

  6. On that you are correct.  My personal opinion is: if you agree with either of these idiots you are getting what you deserve no matter which is elected.

No matter what the result is today, America is the loser.

My sig line says it all.

    97291

    Did you vote Badnarik today?

I voted Lib for everything but pres.

  7. Over-hearing my boss on the phone. Her best friends are extremely close to the Kerry campaign (they raised the most funds for his campaign and get an ambassadorship if he wins) and they said the Kerry group is stating they are up by 8 in Florida and 4 in OH...couldn't hear the rest....

    97255

Rumors rumors. I'll believe it once the little states on the map go red and blue for good.

  8. This early garbage and everybody saying it looks good for Kerry is the first thing that has made me nervous about Kerry losing. I was fine until I heard all this good stuff. I don't like it. People are almost always wrong.

    97273

EXACTLY...the thousands upon thousands of statisticians employed by the pollsters would have to turn out to be COMPLETELY wrong in this case. And, statistically speaking, that's an IMPOSSIBILITY.

    I say again:

There is NO WAY Kerry wins PA by 20. NO WAY. He will lose this state.

  9. Say that if you want, but to just bash and ridicule people of poor means or because of race makes people like that seem like complete hypocrits.

My wifes ex husband who had an affair with a 24 year old (While he was 35) and my now wife was pregnant, then left her after the baby was born and married the adultress, loves to rip on democrats because Clinton was an adulterer. You can't be self rightous in judging the actions of others and then ignore them in your own life.

We're compationate unless your a poor blacky in the city. :D

Oh shut your whiny little pie hole. It's quite possible to be compassionate and also be unwilling to foot the bill for freeloaders.

  10. Don't worry yourself Ed.  These people have not voted for John Kerry today, they have voted against George W. Bush.  Kerry is nothing more than an opportunist making the most of a selfish America.  An America unwilling to make the short term sacrifices necessary to secure our freedoms for the generations to come.

Let the pacifists rejoice today.  It will come back and bite us all in the ass tomorrow.

I echo what Bill has said.  You've come along just fine brother.

    97262

Oh for the love of CHRIST! These were UNWEIGHTED exit polls from SELECT districts!!

Settle down, you nellies. There's HOURS to go yet, an MILLIONS of people yet to vote.

  11. I hate to say this, but it appears as if Bush is going to lose.  :D   :D  :D

People don't turn out to vote for the incumbant. I hope and pray I'm wrong... :D

    97232

Tell that to those who voted Reagan in 84. In record numbers.

Settle down. It was an unweighted exit poll, nothing more, nothing less.

  12. Its funny that supporters of the party of "family Values" and Christian Ideals are the ones who are most often spewing this hateful, stereotypical, borderline racist drivel. I am a near 6 figure executive DEMOCRAT and voted today. No bus ride for me.

I have more respect for a "welfare warrior" who votes to try to improve their own life rather that some Radio Patriot who hears Lee Greenwood sing "I'm a real American", runs out of the house in his American Flag tee shirt and votes for Bush because he doesn't want to be accused of not supporting the troops </RANT OFF>

    97222

OK, well he should have said they got all their dutiful little criminals out to take down the names of Dead Democrats. :D

  13. HUGE lines here in PA as well. I voted at 7:10 AM and waited an hour to cast the ballot. This is in a Philly suburb. Several people (who aren't just using it as an excuse to miss work), have been in line for several hours in Philly precincts.

It's a beautiful day here, driving up turnout in Philly.

I'm sure Spector will win though I didn't vote for him. And I think Kerry will win PA, although I didn't vote for him either.

    96369

I'm not so sure about Kerry. It's been close for a long time, and Bush took the lead in a few polls late. He definitely had momentum here in the Lehigh Valley. I am still predicting that despite fraud in Philly, Bush will win Pennsylvania.
