I hope Jets take Allen or Darnold. I think they will be a good team with Rosen or Mayfield. I also don't want Miami to get those QB's or Lamar Jackson. I think Jackson will have a handful of good season early on because of his legs

They are similar situations because the Bills were in a position where they had to take a QB and if they draft Allen they are going for the big strong project QB much like they did with EJ. Your argument is that they are not the same kind of situation because this is a stronger QB class and that is another reason why I would not be happy with them taking Allen, because there are better, more developed players available. To me, trading a bunch of picks to get Allen at 1 or 2 is overpaying. To get to 1 or 2 it's going to take something like 12, 22, 53, 56, 93, next year's 1st. Much different than getting him at 7-12 and maybe you only give up 12, 53.

i would. if 3 QB's go in the first 5 picks and we can't get up there and the only one left is Allen then I am fine taking him 7-12 and i will hope he pans out. if they traded all of their picks because he is the one they targeted then i would lose a lot of faith in this front office. he is a long term project that needs to sit 1-2 years minimum. good luck with that though. if we gave up all of those picks to have him sitting on the bench while AJ and Peterman lead us to a 6 win season, the fans will go nuts and demand they play the kid. playing before you are ready is a good way to lose your confidence and wash out of the league.

you do when he's a 3rd round talent and there's no good QB's in the draft. Josh Allen is better but he's not a top 5 pick, too much of a project. if you tell me that we take him between picks 7-12 because the other top 4 guys are gone then fine. there's no way he's worth trading up to 1 or 2 to take. there are better QB's

exactly the same. we needed a QB, had a veteran that didn't work out, had to get one in the draft. overpaid just like we will this year if we get Allen. "but wait, we traded back how did we overpay for EJ?" because he was taken in the 1st round when many had him as a 3rd round prospect. reaching would be 2nd round. complete desperation was taking him in the 1st.

they thought EJ was too. he was the first QB taken in that draft. he was also a big, tall, athletic, strong arm, project QB what is going to drive me bonkers is that Josh Rosen is clearly the best QB in this draft and we would not only be passing on him but we would be giving up all of those picks to do it

Aaron Rodgers rubs people the wrong way and I've heard his teammates don't like him. He has attitude concerns and he has interests outside of football. Plus he's from California so he can't play in cold weather. He's also injury prone, he was out all last season! Definite bust, I don't want him on my team

Giants can still get him at 4 if they can figure out that 3 team trade scenario. Save a little money!

as you said yourself, even our previous 1st round pick (Shaq Lawson) is not worth a 1st round pick anymore. many of the players drafted don't work out or at the very least they don't live up to their draft grade. you can keep all of those picks and get lucky on a few of them but many won't be on this team anyways in a few years. might as well swing for the fences and try to get the best player at the most important position in all of sports
