  1. They already have the core fans. They want to expand and to do that they have the above to attract the people that wouldn't normally care about it. If you start with one fan who is interested in watching the sport of football, then as long as they play football, they have that fan. They want to get that fan's wife involved. And kids. And neighbor. This may annoy the original fan, because they are in it for the core game, but to expand the NFL tries to diversify its product. The result is sometimes god awful, and sometimes decent.
  2. Unfortunately I have to work that Monday night and then will be on vacation for the first 3. But I plan on going to at least one of the Browns scrimmages and then probably the last one. I am also looking for some good Veteran TBD information on this. I got a autographed Sammy Watkins Jersey for Christmas and would love to get him to sign a card for me to frame it with.
  3. Just got them in the mail. Guess I thought I heard "e-mail" when he said "mail".
  4. I guess this gets placed in the negative thread? Dolphins Super Bowl? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000503110/article/harvard-students-model-picks-dolphins-seahawks
  5. I figured that. He was kind of on a down year though despite winning the Super Bowl. I think this is a myth. Good QB's tend to make good WR's elite. Passing attempts also help. I think the reason WR's aren't standing out in Seattle is likely because Wilson throws 150-200 passes less a year than most of the top 10 QB's. I think the perfect example of this is Golden Tate going from a middling WR in Seattle to a stand out WR in Detroit while Calvin Johnson was gimped. 1,331 yards on 142 targets for Tate in Detroit in 2014 898 yards on 98 targets in Seattle in 2013
  6. I know this is either trolling or a never ending circular argument, but it is absurd if you really believe that retaining a player/coach/staff member who did something wrong somehow devalues our ethics. Explain why? Penalize him? Sure. That's what the courts would do, and probably the NFL if we kept him. Disavowing the guy, and pretending he didn't work for us because we are a pristine organization full of people who do no wrong is so far fetched though. The guy is neither the devil or a psycho, he obviously had some issue with these kids, and something went wrong. Tempers were heated and people were likely arguing. Saying he is "ok" with going around punching children in the face, is simply ridiculous. God forbid you ever make a mistake and people call for your head. I am sure you will gladly never work again as not to tarnish any organization with your presence.
  7. Playoff performance. Specifically the Packers game. Cue the excuses.
  8. Although Tom Brady is a good QB , there were 7 other QB's ahead of Tom in that category who did better even with Wilson's rushing yardage included.
  9. It may have been fluff, but it stings a little reading about players really liking how he coached and the great things he was doing. It takes away some of the hope that our O line will look halfway decent this year. I really hope they just put it out there and say "We are putting Kromer on a probationary period. If he gets into any further trouble with the law then we will terminate his contract". I think that is reasonable. I am fairly confident he isn't some raging psycho who goes around punching random people, and he is at a minimal risk of doing something like this again.
  10. First I hear kids will be making $15 dollars an hour for working in fast food in NY, and now I hear they are going to be getting our o line coach fired overreacting because they couldn't keep their mitts off of what doesn't belong to them. Not a fan of kids today.
  11. Just saw this. Initially I thought, maybe good news since its prior to court? Then on second thought, maybe they are just trying to move on before training camp. Either way, I hope they did a thorough investigation, and figured things out.
  12. This is a tough one. His interceptions have been consistently high the last couple years. I could very easily see us canning him after 3 years of losing citing turnovers as the reason we aren't a playoff team. On the other hand, our team is so talented maybe we could overcome it? Nice to dream that the QB situation could be solved so easily, but either Manuel/Tyrod step up, or back to the draft I think.
  13. Very good points. Sometimes I fall into the theory that Well's had all of Jastremski and McNally's text and therefore any to Brady. However if Well's didn't disclose what he had from the two equipment guys, then that would be a very good reason for Brady to not comply because it may indict himself.
  14. I understand this, but rather than having to go out and get tickets from where ever they are giving them out, I had called the front office and they said they would e-mail them to me. I guess I'll just call them
  15. Did anyone get training camp tickets? I called and ordered some, and the guy told me they would come in an e-mail. Still waiting, wondering if I should call back.
  16. But all the "facts" we have strung together through various tweets from people we don't know, and a redacted police report tell us we should fire Kromer now! Why would we wait for the "do-nothing" court system, when we have already played detective and have such urges for justice outside the justice system!? We are outside the law, and we have the power to punish Kromer! It would be negligent if we let him coach 300lb 20+ year old offensive lineman another day! Fire him, fire him now!
  17. No I am not. Kromer is very likely more concerned with his job than the court system right now. He very likely isn't going to jail, and losing his job means losing a large amount of money. Legal experts, Why doesn't this apply here? Were the chairs not on his property?
  18. Players peformed at a lower level than they did the prior year. Watch Fred Jackson's game tape, he may be ancient but he still made things happen out of a broken system.
  19. They have access to interview Kromer and probably his kid for one, and as Augie said the NFL has their own investigators. I am 100% sure the well of information about the situation goes far deeper than us. That's a good point, but as far as I know nothing is happening in the football world at this point, since training camp starts in a few weeks. I've also read speculation his successor would be someone already on staff, so they are likely already taking action so that the team isn't at a loss.
  20. I agree. This leads me to wonder if the Pegula's will be the type that deem Kromer to still have a place in the organization or not based on the facts they hold on the case that most of us do not. Or will they be they type of Owner's that bow to public pressure that the "not on my team" people exert who may never know the unbiased, and unspun facts of the case, and the context in which they took place. I have a deep confidence that they will be the 1st type. Exactly my thought.
  21. I just feel like with Zachery being charged it goes from Aaron flying off of the handle for no apparent reason to something more that has not yet been explained. This should give people pause from shouting for his firing but it won't,
  22. Do we know if it was before or after his dad hit the kid? Are there any more details? I didn't hear this before, but haven't been keeping up with the thread.
  23. Why is Zachery being charged? Didn't he stick around to help find the fishing pole, and his dad was just a psycho that he couldn't keep his psychotic urges to flip out on innocent teenagers in check?
  24. Wow. Just wow. Did they not deny Wells another interview of McNally? Citing that he should have asked him when he had the chance? And then here they say this is something that should of clearly been investigated more thoroughly by the Well's team, but they themselves denied Well's thorough access to investigate.
