  1. If someone is successfully vetted, they get approval. Simple as that. Whaley approved Rex on the football side and is culpable.
  2. Which just about indicates that the idea Whaley was dragged kicking and screaming into working with Rex to be complete mularkey.
  3. Whaley vetted Rex on the football side and he gave the thumbs up. He is culpable.
  4. "It's my right to run this thing into the ground." Awesome.
  5. Jimbo had 2 GWD and 2 4th Q comebacks in his second season over 12 games. Doesn't remind me of TT at all.
  6. 1 game winning drive and 1 4th quarter comeback. What's his record when we trail 4 points at any time? 2-20? Dump this guy. He stinks.
  7. Right, but there's a reason folks like Bulaga and Bollig tested FA then signed with their teams for less than market value.
  8. Because Rex has already been fired. Not much more you can do to him. All that's left is to go after the people who thought hiring him was a good idea.
  9. Sure maybe. But compare going to GB versus Buffalo. Winning tradition in a stable and prestigious franchise versus us.
  10. The owner is also on the hook for the players guaranteed money. Should he have "all the say" on what players we sign and draft? Does the buck really need to stop at Terry's feet when deciding what FA's to pursue? I thought the huge positive of new ownership was that the Pegulas were going to "open the checkbook," for the football people to get what they want and need. It sounds more like they're going to open the checkbook for who they like and football people be damned.
  11. It took the guy 4 years to admit EJ sucked. 4 years!
  12. "We'll evaluate everything with our new HC."
  13. Mistake.
  14. Or perception of the franchise, which is affected by that national guys calling us dysfunctional and ridiculing the GM dog and pony show.
  15. Promote Kromer to GM and have him threaten to kill the Bengals GM's whole family if they don't give us McCarron.
  16. And if the money is equal?
  17. I didn't choose the thug life, the thug life chose me.
  18. Well at least you've addressed a point I've actually made. Good start. These guys aren't deaf and blind. If they only hear negative things about Buffalo for years and years on end, about its dysfunction, losing culture etc etc, I can't imagine they'd be too excited to come here. It's human nature. I'm not saying it's end all be all, but I think it's ridiculous to say if the choice is between a better run organization and this one all other things being equal, that's not gonna make a difference.
  19. The Pegulas kept the Bills in Buffalo! That kind of loyalty makes this team attractive.
  20. You're struggling to follow the conversation.
  21. And who hears that echo? Think FA's are fact checking the press conference?
  22. What articles do have an impact? What a neutered comment.
  23. If that's the argument, Jed York could easily do the same thing.
  24. Half the fans? Would love to see the numbers on that statement. No one follows JimKellyFan69 on Twitter, but players do follow the national guys, who almost universally panned today's nonsense. You can say it's not that big of a deal, which I agree with, because it was already readily apparent we're a rudderless organization. But the consequence is we looked bad, period.
