1. EJ isn't the QB right now, Tyrod is and has been for 2 years. Your contention is that we're close with him at the helm. So in reality, picking EJ set us back for 2 years at best, because that's how long he played. 2. 2 isn't 5. We've wasted 2 years on TT being mediocre. Not sure how it's any different with a QB who hasn't hit his ceiling yet. 3. Won't we lose all our talent if we stink with TT at the helm like we've been doing? So when TT gets 3 years to "build a team around him," we haven't lost any talent to age or FA, but if we gave Watson 3 years, whoa boy is that team gonna suck because apparently teams only lose players to age and FA when you don't like the new QB. These arguments are terrible.

We were wrong on EJ. Why don't we have to wait all 5 years to get in the playoffs? Or is your argument the worst one you've ever made, which is saying a lot.

Taking Watson and not a safety sets this team back 5 years. Now I've heard it all. I'm shocked we're even able to win this year as a playoff caliber team. We drafted EJ in the first only 4 years ago. Don't we have to wait one more?

We've already addressed and dismissed this horrible argument. Should we never draft a QB unless we have the #1 pick and it's Luck or Peyton or Cam? Hate to break it to you, but that's what we've done over our entire franchise history and we've never won a Super Bowl or made the playoffs in the past 17 years. What did reaching for a QB really cost us? More years of no playoffs and no QB? TT ain't good enough. Watson could be. That's the difference. And like Gunner said, lots of us have watched him for 2 years. It's not a 1 game overreaction for everyone.

Mike Glennon is probably the only 2013 QB who will make it past camp next year. Lots of folks have watched his whole career. I think there's something to be said about performing at a high level on the biggest stage he could play 2 years in a row. I've watched him for 2 years and I like him.

It was. Alpha is typing up manifestos about Watson hype because he's not the clear #1 QB prospect in his draft, as if you aren't the clear #1 prospect, you can't be successful. Flacco and Rodgers don't agree. Russel Wilson was like the 5th QB prospect in his class. He did alright.

The argument against Watson seems to be that's he's not Cam and/or Luck. Okay. Lots of guys aren't. Joe Flacco wasn't the clear #1 in his class and he's pretty good. Neither was Aaron Rodgers. Really weird takes today.

that FSU team was very hot and cold this year. Played Clemson to the wire (which was an incredible game) and beat Michigan but lost to UNC and got blown out by Louisville. Terrible. I imagine without a rookie QB, they'll be in the top 4 next season.
