  1. It's certainly up there in terms of difficulty. It requires everything. Brains, processing, arm strength, touch, footwork, throwing motion, leadership, charisma, guts, toughness. That's why I don't think riding the pine or getting thrown to the fire matters much. Either you have all those things or don't. It may take a guy like Derek Carr 5 years to show us them all, but either he will or won't. If he wasn't playing, he wouldn't be any different IMO.
  2. That's a very dangerous line of thinking. What's the line about all that evil needs to triumph? I can see the difference, sure. You don't think they're ring-leaders, just followers. Well to that I say "just following orders" is not a valid defense and they are no less culpable than Jones and Kraft in any acts the league commits that are reprehensible and heinous if they do nothing against it. Period. Wilson was a man of integrity. Love him or hate him, everyone in this league knew that. With Terry it remains to be seen if he matches Wilson in that regard. I don't like it when folks turn a blind eye to our new owners to call out another.
  3. Yep. At least fans remain #1 in their ability to act like petty jilted lovers. I think I dated some of ya'll in high school.
  4. Eh, that's debatable, to be honest. I think for the most part, the cream rises to the top no matter the situation. Some guys struggle and it breaks them. Others struggle and fight through it. That's not to say some QB's wouldn't have had more success with time on the bench instead of getting thrown out there, but there's a limit, IMO. EJ may have carved out a longer back-up fringe starter job if he didn't play much like Glennon but he wasn't winning a Super Bowl or getting $100M no matter how much time he spent on the bench. Just look at TT. 5 years on the bench and he's still got major holes in his game. He may have been out of the league if he had to start in 2011, but he still ain't franchise.
  5. It's like every time we hire a new coach, they ask "what unit played the best last year? Okay, that coach is fired." What was the point of interviewing these hacks if firing the position coaches who produce multiple Pro Bowlers isn't discussed?
  6. He looked like a rookie. He wasn't scary bad all the time but he had his peaks and troughs. I thought Wentz looked better on the whole, and Goff not being ready for week 1 scared me. Gurley was bottled up all year and Goff never really got a chance to get comfortable easy PA passes and the like too often. Doesn't look like a total bust, is my final grade. With a young QB, that's standard.
  7. jw just came into PTR's house and chokeslammed him. Pinning this thread for future 's
  8. By the old HC. And the job wasn't his to lose last year.
  9. Oh come on! They showed no respect for the legacy of Ralph Wilson only a year after he passed. Why do they get the excuse train, "they got swept up?" Terry Pegula is a billionaire with as much say as any of the other 31 NFL teams. To give him a pass for yes sirring Jones and Kraft is absurd. Harsh truth but the truth. You want to talk about principles and respect and honor? Those aren't negotiable because the cool kids won't think you're cool if you live up to them. Total horse ****.
  10. The way the Bills have played offense the last 2 years, our WR coach IS our OL coach.
  11. Need McCoy hired by Broncos. He is a disaster.
  12. Maybe they will. Make a splash FA signing?
  13. When is the "learning from past mistake," gonna happen?
  14. 8 year vet to backup or start if Goff isn't ready. Not crazy.
  15. Tyrod following Lynn I could see. TT and Gurley tearing up the turf.
  16. All we need is that ice to break and then we're going. Hopefully before 2020. Thanks for the info JW.
  17. Coaches in the NFL are brain dead dolts. Clearly, so are the guys who interview them.
  18. I find the hypocrisy surrounding Terry (and Kim) amusing.
  19. He's got some time on his hands to finish the job now.
  20. Did the Pegulas vote against relocation?
  21. Kromer had things working pretty well. Good time to fire him. Wouldn't want too many Pro Bowlers on the OL.
