  1. Right. Almost every blue chip on our roster was and is here basically because of Nix. But solid take.
  2. Walter is horrendous. Come up with your own evaluation.
  3. You better give half the credit of Hughes to Nix too.
  4. 3 day one starters in FA may be a little unrealistic but I'm hopeful.
  5. QB: Cutler RB: Shady FB: Felton LT: CK LG: RI C: Wood RG: Miller RT: Glenn TE: Clay WR1: Sammy WR2: Kendall Wright DE: Lawson DT: KW DT: MD DE: Hughes LB: Ragland LB: PB LB: Zach Brown CB: Prince Amakanoodles CB: Darby S: Bethea S: Adams
  6. Pegula is a bottom 5 owner in sports. That was after he blamed the offense for letting Fitzpatrick throw for 500 yards.
  7. Anyway, the point was that McCoy could absolutely work with a Romo, Brees, Rivers type. If we get a more deficient QB, like Cutler, I'd rather run Lynn's system instead of McCoy's complex passing O, because the ball would be taken more out of the hands of a QB who isn't top 10. Cutty running Lynn's PA offense behind Shady is more congruent with success than him passing 50+ times.
  8. Try reading and thinking before posting.
  9. See above. Their offense wasn't why they won games. It was Jesus, and we sure as heck don't have him on our side.
  10. Scheme it up to 25th in points! Only a 17 team drop off from our coach who schemed up TT.
  11. Unless we draft a guy high or get a Rivers, Romo or Brees, I don't see it ending well. I'd prefer a guy like Cutler in Lynn's system.
  12. Oh my dear sweet summer child. The drought was 18 years and counting the moment Doug Whaley was retained and spear heading the coaching search.
  13. Drafted one of the best QBs in the NFL.
  14. 23rd in yards and 25th in points is not "functioning" or any kind of success. That's with the #1 rushing attack, btw.
  15. There's just no way that Rex and McDermott are going to be received the same way in the locker room. A Schlub like Dareus saw the Panthers on tv last year on the super bowl. He didn't blow out McDermott by 40. That's a huge difference.
  16. Fair enough, but it still gives him credibility with the D. I doubt Hughes and co will think that.
  17. Also, winning culture. McDermott was coaching in the Superbowl a year ago. He has instant credibility. We haven't hired an NFL coach with success within the last year since Roman and he worked out pretty good. This defense needs a coach with credibility to buy in.
  18. Smart football that matches our strengths, at least on defense. I don't need flashy. Marrone wasn't flashy but he ran a tight ship and mostly put players in a position to succeed. This team has talent. We don't need great coaches who are incredible, just competent people to demand success and run a team that doesn't make mistakes.
  19. Huh? Chip called Whaley, not the other way around. Whaley was chilling on the yacht when it went down.
  20. Bro, you are sitting here saying we didn't make the playoffs in 2014, 2015, and 2016 because EJM was picked in 2013. He played 4, 2 and 1 games in those 3 years. If that's truly your stance, I have nothing left to say. That's the most unreasonable take of all time.
  21. Any GM makes the trade for Shady. This is like "Grigson's great moves! #1: Drafting Andrew Luck."
  22. Lol okay dude. We reached on EJ and he sucked, but we almost made the postseason with KO in his second year we found TT and are "close to contending," with him, in your words. So WTF are you talking about with this cycle garbage? What cycle are we in right now? If we draft Watson and he sucks, what is stopping us from finding a vet backup who can play somewhat decently again, like we did with Orton and TT, all while building the team up. Or drafting another QB to play like RG3 and Kirk Cousins? How radically different was the 2016 Bills from the 2013/2014 Bills? Gilmore, KW, Dareus, Brown, Hughes, Sammy, Woods, Goodwin, Glenn? All the cornerstones were still here. Your arguments are jibberish. Your argument is that if your QB sucks, that means you have to draft another QB. Obviously that is the case, but who cares? That's what every team in the NFL does until they get one. What is your plan? Not make the postseason with a crappy QB instead of drafting one? How do you expect to ever find a franchise QB that way? Spinning your BS that EJ "cost" us 5 years because we had to play TT and Orton is such ridiculousness, I don't believe you even know what you're saying anymore.
  23. Interests of the new HC and co. Targets on their QB wish list, was my understanding.
